Chapter 2 Shenwu Continent

In ancient times, since the great Pangu created the world, the Chinese mainland was vast and strange beasts were rampant, but they were uninhabited.

The father god Fuxi and the mother god Nuwa followed the way of heaven and became husband and wife. They had four sons, namely the sun, Mingyang, Shaoyang, and Chuyang. The four daughters were Taiyin, Jueyin, Shaoyin, and Chuyin. The stepmother gods used mud to create people, divide men and women, and combine yin and yang. Humans then reproduced and grew up in the Chinese continent.

The Father God used his transcendent power to merge the innate Eight Trigrams of Heaven and Painting, and rearranged the continent according to its hexagrams, and passed this hexagram to humans for their cultivation and predict good and bad luck. He also passed on the method of practicing Taoism, allowing people to go through tribulations and become gods and join the way of heaven. The acquired gods were in war, the sky collapsed and the earth fell, and the mother god refined five-colored stones to repair the sky, and the tripod was to determine the sky. After this catastrophe, the Father God and the Mother God mysteriously disappeared. Only the Fuyi clan and the Nuwa clan created by their children were left in the world.

Time passes, and billions of years have passed in a blink of an eye. The Father God and the Mother God have long translated into various legendary versions, and even the Fuyi clan and the Nuwa clan have disappeared in the long river of time, and their traces are unknown to the world. Perhaps only in the super sect or the hidden sect can some clues be found.

The Chinese continent has long existed in legends. Later, a powerful man searched for the eight continents arranged by the father gods throughout his life, but found that the legendary continents only had six, either one after another, or were across the sea, but only lacked the two hexagrams of Qian and Kun. One day, he suddenly realized that he used heaven and earth to supplement the eight trigrams, re-drawing the eight trigrams, and claiming to be the acquired eight trigrams. Since then, Gantian and Kun are just empty figures. The Chinese continent has also been renamed the Shenwu Continent. The acquired eight trigrams were passed down to later generations, military tactics, formations, and ways to see through the world.

The huge size of the Shenwu Continent is immeasurable. Even if the practitioners have a long lifespan, there are very few who really travel to the mainland. Although the super sects have established space teleportation arrays, their prices are astonishingly high. Some sects cannot afford to pay for all their money.

The Taoist practices in Shenwu Continent are mostly based on families and sects. Small families rely on large families, small sects rely on large sects, and dynasties rely on large families and sect power as the background.

There are also extremely strict levels of cultivation, from low to high, divided into acquired, innate, divine foundation, immortal, immortal king, immortal lord, immortal saint, immortal emperor, heavenly tribulation, god lord, sacred, and god emperor. Each level is divided into nine levels. The highest level of warriors who practice in the Shenwu Continent can only reach the ninth level of heavenly tribulation, and after passing the tribulation, they will ascend to the gods. The return of the gods can only be suppressed at the ninth level of heavenly tribulation. Once the divine power is released, they will either collapse or be strangled by the heavenly path. From high to bottom, they will be level six of gods, holy, heaven, earth, Xuan, and Huang, and each level is divided into three levels of upper, middle and lower.

In the Shenwu Continent, there are many strange beasts, heaven and earth treasures, and rich mineral resources. The circulation of currency is mainly gold, silver and copper, and it is a hundred-center system. The jade crystal spirit stone is used as the general currency among practitioners.

Occupations are divided into: ordinary people mainly produce grain, planting medicinal materials, breeding, and merchants, engaged in the sale of various items, pharmacists, and practice medicine and refining medicine.

There are all kinds of professions of cultivators, alchemists, formations, weapon refining, treasure hunting and divination genius, etc., and they are all included, only unexpected things, and they are not unexpected and never seen.

The rules of Shenwu Continent: The strength of the Taoist practitioner is respected, and attacks and killing are all profits. The Taoist practitioner lives in peace with ordinary people.

As the saying goes:

Everyone seeks true proof of cultivation

Go against the sky step by step

How many lives will you kill and fight

The grave of weeds with dry bones

A sword and a beautiful woman in the world

A mortal dream passes by

Heroes' tears in the spirits

Green shirt flies to the sky

Break the divine light of the world

It is also lonely to attain the way of heaven

The white clouds have passed for thousands of years

Dead trees are green for thousands of years

The God Emperor does not remember the great sin of killing

Chaos Cauldron comes to determine the universe

Let’s have some popular science, don’t criticize if you don’t like it:

Fuxi (xi) is also known as Mi Xi, Fuxi, Baoxi, Fuxi, and Fuxi, also known as Sacrifice Emperor, Huangxi and Taihao. It is called Fuxi in the Records of the Grand Historian. It is the ancestor of humanities of the Chinese nation. It is located in the early Neolithic Age and is said to be one of the founders of Chinese medicine.

Fuxi is the earliest king recorded in ancient Chinese books. According to the research of the late archaeologist Mr. Wang Xiantang, he was born in Quanlin and Huacun in Sishui County. Fuxi was extremely intelligent. Based on the changes of heaven and earth, he invented and created the Bagua, which became the beginning of ancient Chinese characters and ended the history of "Knot Rope Chronicles". He also knotted ropes as nets to catch birds and hunt, taught people how to fish and hunt, invented the Se, and created the song "Jiabian". His activities marked the beginning of Chinese civilization.

According to legend, his head and snake body were married to his sister Nuwa, gave birth to children, and became the ancestor of mankind. According to legend, he was an outstanding leader of the ancient Chinese tribe. Fuxi created the Eight Trigrams based on the changes of yin and yang between heaven and earth, that is, he summarized all things between heaven and earth with eight simple but profound symbols. In addition, he also imitated spiders in nature to form webs to make nets for fishing and hunting.

Since Fuxi is the head of a snake, there is a saying that "the descendant of the dragon". Some scholars pointed out: "Fuxi was born in the snake clan and respected snakes. The leaves or deer-skin he wore, the scales or patterns of the right snake were shaped like a snake, which was the symbol of the snake clan's clan emblem or totem. In recent years, more and more "the descendants of the dragon" have played an important role at home and abroad.

Ancient books record:

The Huaxu girl, who lives in the "Land of Huaxu", went to a particularly scenic Lei Ze to visit. She occasionally saw a huge footprint and stepped on it curiously. She was pregnant and gave birth to a son on March 18th. She named Fuxi (Fuxi's birthday is the 18th day of the third lunar month. Now there is a custom of worshiping Fuxi on March 18th in the Central Plains). The footprints in the Lei Ze were actually left by the God of Thunder, the head of this person with a dragon body (and Nuwa)

The gods of Pangu and others are also human-headed and snake-headed, and this thunder god is recorded in "Shan Hai Jing East Classic": "There is a thunder god in the thunder seed, with a dragon body and a human head, and its belly is bulging." Therefore, Fuxi was originally a "dragon seed" with a dragon body (snake body) human head. He is also the elder brother of the ancestor Nuwa. In Volume 2 of the "Han Shu Ren Table" of "Spring and Autumn Period" cited in Volume 2 of Liang Yusheng of the Qing Dynasty: "Hua Xu gave birth to a man as Fuxi, and a woman as Nuwa." Therefore, it is indeed unchangeable that Fuxi and Nuwa regard brothers and sisters as husband and wife.

Volume 2 of Li Yong of the Tang Dynasty: "When the universe first opened, there were only Nuwa and his sisters in Kunlun Mountain, but there was no people in the world. They thought they were husband and wife, but they were ashamed of themselves. The brother and sister went to Kunlun Mountain with their sister and cursed, "If the sky left my brother and sister as husband and wife, and the smoke was all together, if not, the smoke dispersed." When the smoke was together, the two became husband and wife." This statement is a general summary of the legend of Fuxi and Nuwa recreating human beings. It is also in Xu Xusheng's "Biography of Ancient Chinese History"

In the sixth chapter of "Talking about the Times": "In the "Dongxi Xianzhi" by Lu Ciyun in the early Qing Dynasty, it says: The Miao people's sacrifice is called "Reward Grass". Sacrifices are used to use witches, and set up Nuwa and Fuxi's position." Only after modern anthropologists conducted field investigations did they obtain the legends of these Miao people. According to their legends, the Miao people all came from Fuxi and Nuwa. They were brothers and sisters. After the flood, humans were cut off, and only the two of them remained. In order to continue humans, they became husband and wife.

In addition to the ancestors of the people, Fuxi was also an emperor who ruled one country. In "Huainan Zi Shi Zexu": "The extreme east is from Jieshi Mountain, passing through Korea, and spreading to the great king's country, east to the second of sunrise, the land of shrub trees, the wilderness of green earth trees, Taihun, and Jumang are responsible for tens of thousands of miles." Gao Yu's note: "Taihun, Fuxi, the emperor of the Eastern Wood De, Jumang, and Wood God." Fuxi was the Eastern Heavenly Emperor among the Five Emperors.
