They are in charge of some world laws for the world consciousness, but they may be "fired" at any time.

Immortals and Buddhas have their own five declines when the heavens and man are in decline, and gods also have their own gods at dusk. Only by integrating the world into the incarnation of the heavenly way or world consciousness can they achieve immortality in the sense of this world.

Of course, this method also has its disadvantages, that is, after the consciousness merges into the world, it will often be consumed a lot due to the impact of endless time and endless world events. It is precisely because of this that the incarnation of the heavenly way or the consciousness of the world in each world is in a state of self-dormation for most of the time and will only appear at some important moments.

Using this method to achieve eternal existence is equivalent to trapping yourself in the integrated world and almost never leaving the integrated world. Therefore, the two Hongjun Taoists from [Life and Death Realm] and [Penglai Realm] will never know the existence of each other, but they don’t know why the two are so similar.

Of course, in addition to this method, there is another eternal method, which is to become a great existence like Wu Sheng.

Great existence is a level of state that is inherently equivalent to the entire world. The worlds in which ordinary lives live are structures with only rules but no self-consciousness.
