Chapter 415 The sad Zhu Ke

On that day, Ye Sheng picked eight people for Li Xin. Two of the eight people were followed by Ye Sheng and six were followed by Ye Ming. They were all serious people who fought wars and could easily be put into the imperial guards.

But these people are not young anymore.

The youngest one is also at the age of 43 or 4, and the oldest one is over fifty. Logically speaking, they should not enter the army again, but they are still very useful to help Li Xin get familiar with the army.

In the backyard, Old Man Ye was as straight as a big gun. He held his hands and looked at the eight people in front of him.

"You all came from the battlefield back then. Being able to do military affairs in the Ye family means that they have all made military achievements. Now my disciple Li Xin is going to take charge of the imperial guards. Do you go to help him? Is there any problem?"

These eight people have a neat voice.

"Return to Marshal Ye, no problem!"

Li Xin bent over slightly and bowed, saying, "Thank you, seniors!"

Ye Sheng waved his hand at Li Xin and signaled him not to speak. Then Old Man Ye continued with a cold face, "I have never accepted an apprentice in my life. This one and the first and the only one. You have seen it. He is very young."

Old Man Ye’s tone was sharp.

"But although he is young, he is very heartless. Don't neglect him. Do you understand when doing things in the imperial guards and treat him as much as I do, do you understand?"

The eight people looked up at Li Xin at the same time, then lowered their heads and said in unison: "I understand, I understand!"

Then these people bent over and fists in the direction of Li Xin.

"I've seen Young Marshal Li!"

Li Xin shook his head repeatedly and smiled bitterly: "Don't call the young commander. Just call him the official name in the imperial guards."

Ye Sheng was the commander of the Northern Expedition back then. Everyone in the Jin Dynasty called him Marshal Ye. Even the Emperor Chengde of that year would call him Marshal Ye, and it was not until recent years that he changed his name to Duke.

Among the old Ye Sheng's subordinates, Ye Ming and Ye Lin were all young marshals, and now Li Xin has become the young marshals they call.

Ye Sheng said in a deep voice: "Whatever Li Xin said is what he is. Although he is not familiar with the army, in terms of brains, you eight people may not be as good as him."

"Yes, General Li!"

The eight people nodded in unison.

Li Xin bent down to salute these people.

"Sir, let's go home and prepare. Early in the morning after tomorrow, we will gather at the east gate of the capital. How about it?"

"Yes, General Li!"

The eight people dispersed in turn.

After they walked away, Li Xin turned around and smiled bitterly at Ye Sheng, "Master Ye said this too much, belittled these seniors. Will they feel resentful because of this?"

Ye Sheng said in a muffled voice: "We soldiers are straightforward, and they are very different from you officials. You should be whatever you should be. Don't worry, they have been with our Ye family for decades, and they are all reliable people. If you can't trust me, I won't leave it to you to take with you."

Li Xin nodded and said, "I would like to ask Master Ye to write their names, personalities, and some basic situations to the disciples."

Ye Sheng glanced at Li Xin in surprise.

"what are you up to?"

"Go back and recite it."

Li Xin said naturally: "If you ask others, you must naturally win people's hearts."

Ye Sheng was amazed.

"You boy, you have more heart than lotus pods!"

…………

After having supper at Duke Chen’s mansion, Li Xin returned to the Marquis of Jing’an. After washing up, he fell asleep. The next morning, he still practiced boxing and stood up as usual.

After breakfast, he changed into new clothes and prepared to go out.

Chen Shiliu chased after him and said with his head down.

"Mr. Marquis, do you want me to go with you?"

Li Xin smiled and said, "I'm going to the Princess' Mansion. Why are you going to go with me? Are you going to see the maids of the Princess' Mansion?"

"Your wife Xiaohui knows it, and she even smashes your head."

Chen Shiliu smiled embarrassedly, without any interface.

Li Xin turned over and said to Chen Shiliu: "If you have time today, you will go and bring your aunt and the seventh day of the lunar month to the marquis's mansion. I am not at home during this period, so I need someone to play with Xiaoxiao."

Chen Shiliu nodded respectfully: "I'll go now."

Li Xin nodded and was about to leave. Suddenly he remembered something and said to Chen Shiliu: "Another, when they were playing again, you couple stared at some of them, and you can no longer fall into the water like you did last time."

Some time ago, Zhong Xiaoxiao and Chen Chuqi were fed fish together in the big fish pond in the Jing'an Marquis Mansion. The two girls were young and wanted to go down to catch fish, but were taken directly by a huge red carp in the pond.

Fortunately, the servants of the Hou Mansion discovered it in time and the two little girls were not sick. Otherwise, if something happened to any of the two people, Li Xin really didn't know what to do.

Chen Shiliu wiped the sweat from his forehead and said quickly: "Don't worry, Master Marquis, I told Chu Qi that she would not take the lady to the fish pond in the backyard again."

"Don't call me."

Li Xin finally reminded him: "Let them play with their own things, don't teach them to call people randomly in the seventh day of the lunar calendar. If they want to feed the fish, just go and let your wife follow you."

After Li Xin finished speaking, he rode the big green horse towards Datongfang.

Chen Shiliu returned to the Hou's Mansion, explained a few words to his wife, and went back to the countryside to pick up his sister and mother.

This is not the busy farming season, so you should be able to bring both mother and daughter into the city.

Li Xin on the other side soon arrived at Princess Qinghe's Mansion.

The escort of the eldest princess's mansion was still the lieutenant camp that criticized the Yulin Guard. They all recognized Li Xin. After seeing Li Xin, they all bowed their heads.

"I've met the Marquis."

Zhu Ke, the captain of the lieutenant camp, also quickly came up and bent over to Li Xin and said, "I am not a good job in Zhu Ke, I have seen Marquis Li."

Li Xin smiled and looked at the old subordinate, and smiled and said, "Old Zhu, I haven't seen you for a long time. I've gained a lot of weight recently."

Zhu Ke smiled bitterly and said, "The Marquis made fun of his humble position."

This Captain Zhu is in a very complicated mood now.

When Li Xin escaped from the eldest princess's mansion and promoted him from a sentry officer to a lieutenant, he was still very happy. After all, a Yulin Guard Captain in his thirties was very promising.

But who would have thought that after entering the palace and leaving the Princess' Mansion, would it rise at such a speed?

As long as the group of old people who followed Li Xin survived the palace transformation, most of them have become middle and senior officials of the Yulin Guard. Those who cannot arrange the Yulin Guard will be transferred to other yamen to become officials.

Many ordinary Yulin Langs who were under Zhu Ke’s hands in the past became lieutenants, even lieutenants in the Yulin Guard!

Mu Ying, who came from some unknown place, became the Lang General of the Yulin Guard!

How come Zhu Ke doesn’t feel uncomfortable?

When Li Xin was the captain, he was one of the two wardens under Li Xin. If he continued to follow Li Xin, he would not dare to say that he had made great achievements at this moment. At least one man would not be able to escape, right?

Thinking of this, Zhu Ke lowered his head and smiled bitterly: "The humble official is here to perform his duties conscientiously. I just hope that the Marquis will remember the humble official position and help him."

Seeing Li Xin soaring into the sky, he was not willing to be the chief guard in the princess's mansion.

Li Xin smiled and nodded: "This is all a trivial matter. If you have the right opportunity, I will bring you up."

"Is the eldest princess at home?"

“At home.”
