Chapter 2 Road Encounters

"why are you laughing?"

Changshou asked the old donkey around him angrily.

The old donkey bared his big teeth and kept screaming.

"Although it's autumn, everything you can eat is everywhere. But what should I do? Before leaving, I wanted to bring some food down the mountain, but I was embarrassed to speak to the master." Changshou sighed.

The sun gradually sets westward, dyeing the white clouds and mountains a layer of red.

The whispers of autumn insects and the autumn breeze sways.

This is a good time for literati and poets to climb to the top and nostalgia and poetry to be excited.

But who would have thought that the little Taoist priest in this painting would be frowning with hunger and weak legs.

"Walking a little longer while you can see it, so that you can walk out of the mountains earlier tomorrow - you can find a family to ask for some food." Changshou said to Lao Du.

When the sun sets, the sky gradually darkens.

Changshou led the old donkey to stop beside a stream. He tied the donkey to a tree beside the stream and let the donkey eat grass around the tree.

Changshou squatted by the stream and held water in his hands to fill himself with water. Then he pulled up the weeds.

It is autumn now, and the artemisia is half-dried. It is just right to drive away mosquitoes at night.

After pulling out a large bundle of wormwood, Changshou braided the wormwood into a long straw rope like a girl's braid.

Then he pulled out a hug of thatch and spread it on the ground and slept on it at night.

He bit the wormwood rope in his mouth and climbed to the tree where the donkey was tied. Tie the wormwood rope to the tree and let it hang down long.

Changshou jumped directly from the tree and fell gently on the ground.

He raised his right hand and snapped his fingers, and suddenly a flame rose up on his index finger!

Longevity ignites the wormwood rope with flames. The wormwood rope does not burn but a wisp of blue smoke comes out either lightly or darkly.

Changshou suddenly lay on the thatch, with his hands under his head watching the stars gradually appearing in the sky.

The master said that his opportunity has come. But Changshou doesn’t even know what opportunity is now.

Opportunity should be a good thing. It seems that I will end my life of hunger and fullness.

Changshou thought happily.

The old donkey also lie beside Changshou after eating the grass. It has never been out since it entered the mountains. Maybe it is a little excited like Changshou.

Late at night, the mountain wind blew. It blew past the hills, over the treetops, and blew towards the calm water surface. It shattered the starry sky reflected in the water.

The old donkey leaned against Changshou unconsciously.

It suddenly raised its head, and its ears kept moving left and right. A long sound came faintly, like an extremely thin and extremely long silk thread skimming through the air.

After listening for a long time, the old donkey realized that this sound was the sound of Changshou's breathing. The momentum of breathing in the sky and the earth was faintly breathing.

The next day, Changshou got up as soon as the sky was dawn. He walked to the stream and washed his face, and his whole body suddenly became refreshed.

"You can meet someone earlier if you leave earlier and you can ask for stuttering earlier. Otherwise, I will have to lie on you and let you hunch me up." Changshou untied the rope and said to the old donkey.

When the old donkey heard Changshou say this, he automatically accelerated his pace without the need for Changshou to pull the rope, and four hooves stepped on the stone slab and made a sound.

Whenever he walked to a high place, Changshou would look around to see if there were any residents nearby. But what disappointed him was that he had found nothing after several times.

With a patient hunger, Changshou led the donkey and walked on a mountain path for two hours.

The road is made by people, and you may be able to meet kind-hearted people on this road!

Changshou became excited.

Sure enough, after walking for another half an hour, Changshou vaguely heard the sound of musical instruments blowing and beating towards him.

Longevity stands firmly and looks ahead.

Lift your right hand and stroke your thumb over the fingertips of the other fingers.

"Today is not a good day, how could someone have a funeral?" Changshou murmured to himself.

The drums and music are getting closer and closer. You can vaguely see dozens of people winding up on the mountain road.

Changshou squinted his eyes and remained motionless. It was like contemplation or listening.

Looking at the funeral procession getting closer and closer, Changshou's narrowed eyes flashed with sword-like stars!

Then it slowly faded and a helpless smile appeared on her face.

"Hey! That little old Taoist, get out of here! Didn't you see this being a funeral? Can you afford it after a missed time?"

Someone from the opposite side finally shouted at Changshou.

At the front of the team, he held the spirit position and touched the young man who was seventeen or eighteen years old, watching Changshou at a loss.

"Discovering a funeral? Are there any dead people among you?" Changshou asked with a smile.

The only person in black clothes rushed out.

A Taoist priest with a slim face and whispered to Changshou, "You kid has only been practicing Taoism for a few years in your mother's womb! Do you want to pry it out? Get out of here quickly!"

"From now on, I see you will never have the shame to make a living here again." Changshou said with a sigh. Then he moved his feet and walked behind the Taoist priest and walked towards the coffin that the four people carried.

The rat-bearded Taoist priest turned around and grabbed Changshou, trying to hold him back.

But Changsheng's movements were as slow as it was, it was as fast as a loach, and he was walking in front of the coffin in an instant.

A middle-aged man wearing a mourning clothes hurriedly shouted: "Don't let the coffin fall to the ground! It's unlucky to land!"

Four sweaty men were watching Changshou nervously while carrying the coffin.

There were four empty-handed strong men following behind. They should be the ones who changed shifts with these four people to carry the coffin.

Without waiting for the reaction of others, Changshou knocked on the coffin board three times with his fingers.

All the people present were quiet at this moment. They stared at Changshou's movements in a daze, not knowing what he wanted to do.

After three knocks, Changshou listened on one side.

After a while, three sounds of knocking on the wooden boards sounded inside the coffin. They were both slight and thrilling!

"Oh my god! It's a zombie!"

One of the four people carrying the coffin shouted and turned around and ran away!

The coffin fell to the ground with a bang!

The other three people actually sat on the ground and couldn't move anymore. They all looked stunned.

All the other people present also watched this scene with stammering words!

"Fraud, zombie?" the middle-aged man stammered.

"No, no! Shopkeeper, congratulations. It must be that you have accumulated good deeds all year round. God has pity for you. Your mother is alive again!" Changshou turned around and bowed to the middle-aged man and replied.

"What? My mother is alive again?" asked the middle-aged man. There was no surprise on his face.

"Yes, congratulations. The old lady is alive again. Open the coffin and let her come out for some breathing." Changshou replied.

When Changshou was on the mountain, I heard from my master that some people were put into the coffin just by pretending to die. If they were not discovered, fake death would become real death.

The middle-aged man turned around in confusion and looked at the rat beard Taoist.

"What are you talking nonsense? You must have heard it wrong just now." The Rat-Wood Taoist said with a fierce look on his face.

At this moment, another pounding sound came from the coffin, much louder than the sound just now.

There was another scream of God, God, God, in the crowd.
