Chapter 4 Infection(2/2)

"Ship." Cassin suddenly said.

"What?" Zhang Min asked.

"Dad is handsome." Cassin smiled rare.

Zhang Min was so amused that he felt a little warmth in his heart, and smiled: "It's the handsome gun, come on, baby, I'll give you this."

He handed a few jelly to Cassia, asked him to go back to the car, and carried a carton himself filled with a little surplus of grain he had found in the convenience store - lunch meat and canned beef, instant noodles, chewing gum, mineral water, vitamin C tablets and a few packs of cigarettes taken out of the vending machine.

He stuffed the carton into the rear trunk, took out two bottles of two liters of Nongfu Spring, raised his head and drank a few sips, and asked, "Do you drink water from baby?"

Cassia: "?"

Zhang Min carried a jar and fed him a few mouthfuls. The two washed their hands with mineral water. Zhang Min poured cold water on his head. His short hedgehog-like hair was wet, and his snow-white shirt was almost transparent, covering his majestic bronze back muscles.

Wasting the two large bottles of water, Zhang Min carried the oil gun, filled the can with gasoline, and put it in the car.

Cassia changed the dressings for Wang Bo in the back seat. His bitten wrist was almost purple-black, and the minced meat emitted an unpleasant smell. Cassia poured hydrogen peroxide on it and made a slight sound, but Wang Bo did not open his eyes.

Zhang Min held the steering wheel, looked back for a while, and whispered: "Baby, sit in front."

Cassia wrapped the bandage around and moved it to the passenger seat. Zhang Min drove the car to the highway and looked back at Wang Bo in the back seat from time to time.

"Dad." Cassin suddenly said.

Zhang Min asked in a low voice: "What."

Cassin said: "I think Xiaoshan is dead."

Zhang Min swallowed his saliva, and he also guessed that Wang Bo's inconsistency in his words, the expression of his desire to speak when he lifted the zombie, plus the wound on his wrist... Such low scars made him involuntarily remember the scene when Wang Bo held his infected little daughter and was bitten by her hands.

Zhang Min reached out and touched Cassia's head, saying, "Don't think about it, sleep for a while, be obedient."

Wang Bo's breathing became heavier and heavier, with asthma chest and lung tightness. Cassia woke up several times, and when she looked back, she felt that he was about to die of breathlessness.

Zhang Min drove fast all the way, and it was already midnight when he arrived in City F again.

The lights outside the toll station were still on, and waste paper was fluttering in the wind, without hearing the sound of people. There were roadblocks set up by the army in front of the pass. The whole road was empty, with no cars coming in or out.

You can vaguely see someone standing in the temporary medical room, wearing a white coat.

"Brother Wang?" Zhang Min pulled over to stop, breathed a sigh of relief, and patted Wang Bo: "Wake up, we'll be here soon."

Cassin looked at that place suspiciously. Zhang Min got out of the car and carried Wang Bo out. Wang Bo made a vague sound, dragging his feet on the ground. Zhang Min put his hand on his shoulder and hurried towards the infirmary.

Cassia took the lead, and the two of them pushed open the door, and Zhang Min hurried inside.

He put Wang Bo on the bed in the outer room and entered the screen like a gust of wind. He clearly saw someone.

Cassia looked around and found that there were still disposable needles in the iron box that had not been opened.

Cassia tore open the syringe pack, which contained a light blue potion. He remembered that the one he was injected when he came before, so he gestured to Wang Bo's arm and pushed the needle upwards.

Zhang Min turned the screen and suffocated his breath.

In front of him was a bloody corpse. The doctor in a white coat was the one who injected them with his own vaccination two days ago.

At this moment, he was leaning against a female corpse, grabbing her internal organs and sending it to his mouth. Zhang Min slowly took a step back to let Cassia withdraw.

Cassia threw the needle into the iron box and made a crisp clang. Zhang Min thought to himself that terrible and shouted: "Run quickly!"

The zombie doctor immediately turned his head, let out a vague roar and knocked over the screen and rushed towards Zhang Min! Cassin was shocked and knocked over the medical stand. When he turned his head, he saw an unrecognizable face appeared in front of him.

"Ah--!" Cassin finally shouted out loud.

The gunshot! There were four or five zombies in the infirmary! Zhang Min was entangled before he could retreat, overturned the screen and staggered back. The narrow infirmary was full of broken and rolling medicine bottles. The female corpse lying on the hospital bed also pounced on the ground and crawled towards them with blood.

Another gunshot, and the brain sprayed all over the wall. Zhang Min dragged Wang Bo out of the infirmary, pulled him to the door and shouted: "Run towards the car!"

Cassin staggered, carrying the heavy and unconscious Wang Bo to run towards the car, Zhang Min held up his gun, and after a moment, there was a loud bang, the glass window shattered, and a zombie rushed out.

Zhang Min fired another shot, and a loud bang, awakening Wang Bo.

Cassin dragged Wang Bo halfway, and in an instant, a severe pain in his shoulder, and the screams immediately cut through the night sky.

"Baby--!" Zhang Min shouted and rushed towards Cassia. Wang Bo bit Cassia's shoulder hard, and blood burst out, splashing his face.

Zhang Minfei rushed to the mutated Wang Bo and pushed him away from the Cassia. Wang Bo kept struggling, strangled Zhang Min's neck, overturned him to the ground, and his gun fell to the ground and was thrown far away.

"Ahhhh--" Zhang Min screamed fiercely, his elbow was bitten by Wang Bo. Both of them were veterans. Wang Bo became a zombie without any defense. Zhang Min caught him off guard and wanted to kick him away, but Wang Bo was extremely strong, and the two flipped over the ground several times.

Deafening gunshots.

Cassia trembled and gasped, and shot Wang Bo in the head.

Zhang Min pressed the trunk blankly and stood up shakingly.

Both of them were bitten, Zhang Min's elbows were covered in flesh, and the wounds were deep and bones were visible; Cassia's shoulders were bitten into blood, and blood soaked her shirt.

Three hours later, the city F leads to a lake under the expressway from S to City.

A bonfire was set up by the lake, and the car stopped not far from the fire.

Zhang Min leaned against the wheel, holding his adopted son in his arms, looked down at Cassia: "Does it still hurt?"

Cassia shook her head.

Zhang Min said: "Don't be afraid, just wait until the wound heals."

Cassin said: "We will all die and we will all become monsters."

Zhang Min whispered: "Don't talk nonsense, baby, you won't become a monster."

Cassin said: "The doctors have also been vaccinated, and they have become monsters, and the vaccine is useless."

Zhang Min was silent.

"Do you still remember." Zhang Min opened her shirt and looked at the bonfire and said, "Did Dad pick you up in the mountains?"

Cassin did not speak, leaning against Zhang Min's chest.

Zhang Min smiled and said, "After Dad was discharged from the army, there was no one at home and there was no money. That day, I went to find medicine and picked you up. I started to get better luck. If I had a company, we also bought a house and didn't have to rent a house anymore. Look, you are the one who brings good luck to Dad."

Cassia nodded, Zhang Min lowered his head and stroked his forehead, and said, "We won't become monsters."

Cassia did not answer, her ears pressed against Zhang Min's left chest, and she heard his heartbeat.

Cassin said: "I'm not afraid of becoming a monster. If you change, you won't be able to find you. You can change first, eat me after you change. I'll be in your stomach."

Zhang Min smiled and said, "Have you eaten?"

At the darkest moment before dawn, the bonfire gradually dimmed.

Cassin said: "Sleepy, Dad."

Zhang Min endured the sadness and said, "I haven't slept well all the way."

Cassin said: "When you wake up, you become a monster and you won't see you."

Zhang Min thought of the zombies wandering around, his eyes turned red and whispered: "Yes, you are running around but you can't find you, what should I do?"

Cassia held Zhang Min's hand tightly.

Zhang Min smiled and said, "There is a way to find a rope and tie us together."

Cassin smiled and said, "That's right."

Zhang Min pulled out the rope from under the car seat, found out the clothes, and said, "Well, you look good with this one."

Cassia was put on her clothes, Zhang Min tied one end of the rope to Cassia's waist, and changed into a pair of camouflage military pants and a close-fitting vest - that was Cassia's favorite, and tied the other end of the rope to his waist and tied a knot.

The two left a rope length of about thirty centimeters between them for movement.

Cassin thought that after becoming a zombie, he and Zhang Min were a small zombie following a big zombie, aimlessly tied up by a rope, walking in the wilderness, and couldn't help but feel happy.

Zhang Min was also happy to know what Cassia thought.

Both of them were so sleepy that they couldn't speak. Zhang Min held Cassia and opened the car sunroof. The breath of grass in late summer and the night wind blew.

"Don't eat me." Cassine said in a daze.

"No." Zhang Min said: "I won't eat you, baby."

A night passed, the sun was in the sky, and the sun shone straight in from outside the skylight.

Zhang Min woke up and felt so hungry that he looked at Cassia sleeping in his arms, barely suppressing the idea of biting him. He thought terrified, would he become a zombie?

Zhang Min looked around and saw a split headache. He held it up. The rope moved slightly. Cassia was still asleep, her face turned pale and red.

Zhang Min took a look at the car window, and everything in the reflection was as usual. He carefully untied the bandage on the shoulder of Casino. The wound was not purulent or rotten. The bitten area was already dry and a layer of bloody skin was formed.

Zhang Min lowered his head to look at his arm again, and the wound had already scabbed.

Zhang Min pressed Cassia's wrist and his pulse was stable, without any signs of Tian Wang Bo's acute illness.
