Chapter 3 Rainstorm(2/2)

Cassia immediately opened her eyes and woke up.

Zhang Min said: "It's okay... I'll get out of the car and go and have a look." As he said that, he untied his seat belt, but Cassin grabbed his sleeve with one hand.

I saw the overturned "corpse" not far from the road, and stood up staggeringly.

Zhang Min panted and put on his seat belt, bypassed the living dead, and continued driving along the way.

The car drove through the blockade line, and the police signaled Zhang Min to roll down the window, looked into the car with a flashlight, and shone the beautiful face of Cassin.

"Are you injured?" asked the policeman: "I was scratched and bitten and went to the next door to bandage."

"No." Zhang Min couldn't help but feel a chill: "What happened?"

"Rabies peak tide." The policeman said: "You haven't listened to the radio?"

Zhang Min shook his head. His face and Cassin were as normal as they were, unlike those infected.

The police asked: "What about you? Take out your ID card and see what you do? Where is your home?"

Zhang Min said: "He is my son, adopted son, and I am his guardian."

A female policewoman came over and waved, "I'll look at your eyes."

Cassia's pupils were not very adapted to the light and contracted slightly. The police commented: "A very beautiful boy, where is your mother? Why don't you say anything? I feel uncomfortable? What's your name?" He said and compared his ID card.

Zhang Min said: "Baby? Tell uncle your name."

"Cassia." He spoke.

Zhang Min smiled embarrassedly: "The child doesn't like to speak, his mother..."

Cassin suddenly said, "I don't have a mother."

Zhang Min was very embarrassed, but the police nodded in understanding, made a gesture and let it go.

There were finally more and more living people. Zhang Min's breathing was still a little shaking, and there were long queues of cars on the way out of the expressway. There were cars in front, back, left and right, and many car owners would roll down the windows from time to time to curse.

Zhang Min finally breathed a sigh of relief.

There are two hundred meters away from the toll station on the highway. Four dazzling incandescent lamps illuminate the intersection like daytime. There are quarrels and horn broadcasts in the distance:

"Citizens, please wait patiently. You need to undergo scanning and inspection when passing the checkpoint..."

It seems that he can't get out for a while, and there are armed police everywhere. There shouldn't be too big problems. Zhang Min drove the car for nearly fifteen hours in a row, but he couldn't hold on. He turned his head and said, "Baby."

Cassia leaned over the car window and looked out, and was screamed, looking back at Zhang Min in confusion.

Zhang Min said: "You sleep for a while and be obedient."

Cassin shook his head, Zhang Min followed his gaze and said, "Dad, take a break, and call me when the car in front leaves."

Cassia nodded, Zhang Min took off her coat and covered it in front of him, leaned on the driver's seat, and closed her eyes.

Looking out of the Cassinian window, lightning flashed in the dark sky, and at the end of the wilderness, the end of the wilderness connected the heaven and earth together.

Another jeep was parked next to their car, barely staggering, and the Cassia was sitting directly opposite the side window of the back seat of the jeep.

A woman sat there, turned around and looked at the Cassia with a smile.

Cassia pressed one hand on the car window, and the rain started to fall again, and the crystal rain flowed down the glass.

I don’t know how long it took, but the woman behind the jeep window opposite disappeared.

Immediately afterwards, a stream of blood poured on the car window, and a shrill scream came out. One hand grabbed the car window and grabbed a bloody handprint.

Zhang Min was suddenly awakened, and the police shouted from outside.

"What's going on!"

"Open the door--!"

"The person inside put his hands on his head and walked out of the car-!"

The Cassia looked around and saw that the driver's seat of the jeep was pulled away. Several policemen pressed the owner to the ground. The owner couldn't help but struggle and screamed. A policeman was bitten on his arm, so painful that he couldn't help but scream.

The father and son watched this scene quietly.

The police dragged the biting owner away, blood was flowing out of the car and washed into the roadside by rain. The woman who had previously smiled at Cassia was half a body out of the car, and was bitten beyond recognition by her teeth.

Cassin said: "Teacher Xiao."

Zhang Min: “…”

The deceased was a teacher in Cassia school. Cassia waved at her, and Zhang Min said, "Don't look out, let's go, baby."

The blocked convoy moved again, and Cassin looked at the lights flowing in disguise.

Finally it was their turn to pass the test, and the two were taken to a hut with lights on, with several doctors sitting.

"Where to go?" asked one person.

Zhang Min replied that he was going to S City.

"The clothes were taken off."

Zhang Min took off her coat and trousers, and several people glanced at it. Zhang Min put it on and took off her clothes for Cassia again.

"Come here for the injection." Another nurse said.

The needle tube for the prophylactic injection was very thin. After the injection, Zhang Min asked: "What kind of serum is this?"

A doctor raised his eyes and said, "There are also rabies outbreaks where you go. It is recommended to go northwest. Do you have relatives in the northwest?"

"Mr. Zhang!" A supervisor discovered Zhang Min.

Zhang Min hurriedly shook hands with him, Cassia walked to the car, Zhang Min said, "Is it an epidemic?"

The supervisor whispered: "I don't know very well. Can Mr. Zhang mobilize some medicinal materials to support?"

Zhang Min smiled bitterly and shook her head. The employees had left. What medicinal materials were collected? Zhang Min's hometown was in the countryside not far from here. He retired from the army several years ago. He went to the provincial capital to start a business without any reason. He opened a small-scale medicinal materials company based on the traditional Chinese medicine skills passed down by his father during his lifetime. He had a medicinal materials business dealing with several large hospitals in the provincial capital. The doctor in front of him was the one who received his red envelopes.

Zhang Min said: "The inventory is not much, and I am planning to go to another place to purchase goods. I just came back. The goods have not arrived yet and the deposit has been paid..." As he said that, he touched the pocket of the coat with one hand, and couldn't find anything.

Cassin came over and handed out a pack of cigarettes. Zhang Min couldn't laugh or cry, thinking that it was fortunate that Cassin brought the cigarettes carefully.

The doctor in charge answered, Zhang Min lit a cigarette for him and asked again: "Is there a vaccine already?"

The supervisor said: "The effect is not clear yet, but it is not harmful to the human body. I will take a shot first and take care of it."

Zhang Min nodded, and the doctor in charge said again: "Please listen to the radio. Although this epidemic is coming in full force, it has not reached the scale of SARS that year, and it should be able to get better."
