Chapter 80: The Millennium Past

"A lot," said Felix. "There are many books I have read about mentioning four founders, but they are either unclear, contradictory, or leave only a few words, with no reference value at all."

He gave an example, "For example, Salazar Slytherin, many people are afraid of him, fearing him, calling him a dark wizard... But what is the truth of the matter?"

"The truth?" Ms. Gray asked back, "What truth do you want?"

"Of course it's the truth in your eyes." Felix said to her.

The ghost seemed to be trapped in memories. She thought for a long time and commented slightly solemnly: "Salazar Slytherin is a very excellent wizard. He and his wife are very loving..."

Felix: "???"

This is obviously not what he wants to know, but it was a good start after all, so he followed her topic, "There is indeed very little information about his wife, but many people mentioned that Slytherin was ugly and looked like a monkey."

The lady glanced at him with a little proud look, "That was the side effect of his research on magic. Slytherin had an outstanding appearance, but as he studied those... terrible areas, his appearance became more and more intimidating."

Felix suddenly realized that this was the case, and he felt the pleasure of solving the puzzles of eternal success.

Ms. Gray continued to recall: "He was always surrounded by snakes, wearing black or dark green robes all year round, and his eyes became very terrifying."

Felix speculated that Slytherin might have transplanted the bloodline of some magical creatures.

"——He has become more and more extreme in character, and his differences with others have become increasingly greater... More than one quarrel broke out, and even his best friend Gryffindor couldn't stand it. But I must make it clear that there was no fight between them, he just left quietly, and took everything from himself on a quiet morning."

"He also left a secret room." Felix reminded her.

"Maybe, but I have heard of it. Slytherin is not afraid to teach all kinds of cruel black magic, but the other three strongly oppose this, so there are rumors that he quietly took his optimistic students to teach these terrifying knowledge in secret places."

So, was the secret room used for teaching at first? Felix thought, and then solved another doubt. However, according to his speculation, as the contradiction intensified, Slytherin might have transferred some of his particularly bloody research to the secret room.

Speaking of which, Felix once secretly returned to the secret room and used Harry's Snakeman's pronunciation scroll to carefully check it, but found nothing, but found the pit where the Basil monster usually hibernated.

Ms. Gray concluded: "But at least during the time at Hogwarts, he still fulfilled his original promise, guarding all teachers and students with his life, and resisting various attacks. Unlike in recent centuries, Slytherin College has completely changed..."

"What are you talking about assault?" Felix captured the point.

She swung lightly, as if she was despised by Felix's ignorance, but with excitement to point out the country, she asked back: "Don't you think Hogwarts is built safely, right?"

Felix didn't respond much, he just made a "continue" gesture.

Ms. Gray said: "By the current standards, most of the wizards were dark wizards at that time. They adopted the master-apprentice system, with a large one with three or five small ones, who wandered around the villages, found newcomers with potential, brought them by their side and cultivated them, and acted as their own servants."

"And the establishment of Hogwarts, especially after the four founders covered the magic of the pen of acceptance and book of access to the British Isles, these wizards were hit hard - they lost their source forever and totally."

"The pen of acceptance, the book of access..." Felix chewed these two words, and he had heard rumors about these two magical creations.

It is said that the name of every little wizard who enters school can be found in the book of admission.

When a child first reveals his magical talent, the pen of acceptance tries to write down his name; but the standards of the book of access are stricter - only when these children fully demonstrate evidence of their magic power will their names be included in the book of access.

The sensitivity of the pen of acceptance and the strictness of the book of access enable them to select qualified students for Hogwarts, and there has never been any mistake in thousands of years.

"The establishment of the new order will inevitably be accompanied by the counterattack of the old forces." Felix sighed. He now understood how Tom's vicious comment about Gryffindor came about in his diary.

The story of a thousand years ago continues-

"Some wizards recognized the efforts of the four founders, who took the initiative to send their children to Hogwarts; but others - those particularly extreme dark wizards, who hid in the dark, took advantage of their outings, or during holidays, and threw their bodies in front of Hogwarts Castle." She shivered.

"This naturally attracted Hogwarts' counterattack, with Gryffindor's attitude the most intense. He carried his sword and wand and defeated one dark wizard after another who was extremely famous at the time. He even publicly claimed that he was willing to accept anyone's challenge, whether it was a Muggle or a Wizard."

Felix was fascinated by hearing this. How could the records on paper describe that magnificent history?

"What about the other three?"

"They are doing the same, but Gryffindor is the most famous. After a few years, some students graduated successfully, and they spread all over the world, spreading Hogwarts' reputation to the world, and not many people dared to provoke it."

Ms. Gray told the whole story with pride and reminiscence.

Felix also benefited a lot, and he sincerely expressed his gratitude: "Thank you, Ms. Helena Ravenclaw."

"No! Call me! This! Name!" The ghost in front of her suddenly said excitedly. Her transparent cheeks seemed not so transparent. Before he could speak, she rushed through the wall and disappeared.

Felix: "…"

At this moment, a low, hoarse voice suddenly appeared, and he said, "Don't mention that name, that's her taboo."

Felix turned around, and before him was a haggard, very pale ghost, wearing an ancient wizard robe covered with silver blood and a pair of huge shackles.
