Testimonials at the end of the text + extra arrangements
Let me talk to you about this book.
From April 6 last year to June 5 yesterday, I wrote it for almost a year or two months, with a total of 2.35 million words, which is much higher than the 2 million to 2.2 million words I estimated (expected). Including the extras that I haven't started writing, the number of words will be more.
The comments cannot be displayed in the starting point these days, but the author can see them from the background. I just read through everyone’s messages and answered a few questions that may be more concerned. Why is the story stopped here? How to arrange the emotional scene (yes, there is it again)? And the extra?
In fact, the story has not stopped, but the main text ends here. My personal understanding is that the main text is continuous in time and the plot is coherent. The extra chapter can jump out of time and choose some representative and meaningful things to write.
The recent chapters are the climax of the whole book. If you continue to write it, it is nothing more than returning to the daily life after peace, political intrigue, and various details of the establishment of a new order. As for the substantial changes brought about by the integration of the magical world and the non-magic world, it takes time to ferment. If you move forward bit by bit according to the timeline, it is not impossible to write, but it will slow down the overall pace of the story and appear lengthy and boring. "Born" is something I have always tried to avoid. Even the daily plots, I will write as interesting as possible, and I have spent a lot of thought on it, and these daily life have clear purposes, such as showing what the protagonist does from another perspective, ambushing, and showing the charm of the characters and the magic of magic...
When I finally wrote the book, I was the one who wanted to write the ending of the story the most. It ended at the climax, leaving a lingering charm. At the same time, I put all the contents that could not be written into the text in the extra chapter. If the foreshadowing can be filled in, some will be mentioned in one stroke, and some will be described in detail.
Second, the third question can be put together. Regarding the emotional drama, I thought about it over and over again, but finally decided to put it into a separate extra chapter so that readers who don’t like it can skip. The plot time is temporarily set five years after the end of the main text (2003). This time point has special significance, which describes the beginning of the germination of the two people’s relationship.
In fact, it is a bit similar to the last part of the original work, "Nineteen Years After the Ending". This is compared with the subsequent set of interrelated extras.
There may be more than a dozen extras describing the appearance of the magical world in the future. My current idea is to draw on the POV writing of Game 1. That is, each chapter uses different names as the title and main narrative perspective. It shows the changes in the magical world in the future from his current situation, social relations, and what he is doing, and will also intersect with other people. In this way, the perspectives are constantly changing, and finally selecting the right occasion to bring these people together.
The above is a consideration for the extra. If nothing unexpected happens, one extra chapter will be updated every day starting from June 11 (next Saturday). The five days left in the middle are the allowance that the author has left for himself to rest, conceive the plot, and deal with the things accumulated over the long period of time.
Okay, let’s finish the matter and share your thoughts.
First of all, I would like to thank the new leader of this book, Eu Lu, Chen Yi Sain, Hei Mengyou, and Mus, for the strong support of all the big guys. In total, there are 19 leaders in this book, including two of them. I read it and the book has received a total of 200,000 collections, 300,000 recommendation votes, and 10,000 monthly votes (I think it is far more than that, but I can't find the specific numbers). It has been oversold, fine products, and tens of thousands of subscriptions, and has become a one-star work of Honor. During the serialization period, it often appears on the first page of the classification list...
It is no exaggeration to say that this is a complete miracle for me.
On the day of uploading the first chapter, I made a pessimistic prediction (judged based on past experience), and this book is likely to die with a passionate heart. Then no one cares about it, and the number of words is enough to apply for a contract was rejected. After all, all kinds of trivial matters were suppressed, and it was finally left unresolved. From college to the years after graduation, I wrote six or seven starts one after another, and I was very familiar with this process. But I couldn’t control my enthusiasm. Now I can achieve such excellent results, and I cannot do without everyone’s support. Thank you very much!
I love you all!!!
Hmm, talk about the mental journey of writing.
This book is difficult to write, and the more difficult it becomes, the more difficult it is to present the story, but the difficulty lies in how to better present the story, rather than psychological fatigue caused by continuous writing. From beginning to end, I like this story very much, love this story, and devote countless efforts to it.
I believe that no matter who it is, after devoted thousands of hours to one thing, I hope that the event will end perfectly and give the people in the story a good ending.
I posted a post on April 26 last year, which mentioned three keywords about the writing style of this book: reasonable direction, original style, and foreshadowing. At that time, I had less than a month of writing a book, and I thought it was best to write this way. I didn’t expect that it would bring me many challenges later. Of course, after more than 700 chapters, I did try my best to strive for these goals, and I did not go against my original intention of publishing the book at the beginning and wrote a magic story that was as original as possible.
In order to achieve this goal, I set limits for myself in the writing process, such as not adding new characters as much as possible, but discovering the charm and more possibilities of the original characters; not opening copies casually, and the content written is traceable in the original works and reference materials; the perspective is mainly focused on schools and students; respecting the original works; pursuing logical rationality... and the foreshadowing.
Some of the foreshadowings are flashes of inspiration when I write. I think it is possible to use them, so I just mention them casually, usually hidden in conversations or in some details; and the other is that the event itself takes time to ferment and turn. What impressed me most was Hermione's S.P.E., from her proposal of this idea, to the reactions of Harry and Ron, Felix's guidance, writing papers, talking with the kitchen house elves, comparing the treatment of Iphani Goblins, establishing the ideal of becoming the Minister of Magic, and the final pan-magic alliance. I experienced many chapters in the middle, and it was not that I had a complete idea from the beginning, but that I found out that I could be integrated together.
The consequence of paying attention to details and ambushing is that the more you go to the middle and late stages of the book, the longer you think about the plot, much more than the time you typing. This is actually the deeper feeling I felt after writing a complete story. The chapters readers see are the result of the author's repeated weighing and thinking, and they are the most suitable and most confident (not necessarily the best) from the countless plot development trends. This point is more obvious. The seventh-grade plot. In order not to fall into various moral dilemmas, the author racked his brains and denied many ideas.
The above limitations may not be completely positive, but at least they helped me write to the end smoothly, without writing a break or deviating from the topic. I am already very satisfied with such a result, not to mention that I can also help the subsequent writing by summarizing the gains and losses.
Then there is what to write about the new book. Uh, I haven't figured out this question yet, and I plan to think about it carefully during the period of writing the extra.
Finally, I would like to thank every reader for their support. I will accompany you all the way. Thank you for your subscription, rewards, comments, monthly votes, recommendation votes, Easter egg seals... For the footprints you left in this book, the feelings you poured into this book; I would also like to thank my three editors Xiaoyuan, Otter, Good Luck, and Editor-in-Chief Mung Bean for their attention and support for this book; I would like to thank the operation officer for his hard work in the late stage of laziness and fat cancer; I would like to thank the management of the book group for maintaining the order of the group under my diving for years; I would like to thank all the fan bosses and painting masters for enriching the connotation and extension of this book; I would like to thank the original author Rowling for providing a good story, many of my writing skills were learned from here...
It's almost over here. When the editor goes to work tomorrow, I will ask about investing in this book. I have seen it from which group I remember. It seems that the last step is to click on the author to complete the book. Then we will see you again on June 11th! The time is just right, and the author is going to drink beer and eat skewers!
Chapter completed!
