Chapter 673 Pattern

The next morning, the dining table in the auditorium was very lively.

Many young wizards have finished the exam, and they talk loudly, preparing to enjoy the last leisure time before the holiday. They have every reason to be happy, because according to convention, except for a few students who failed the assessment spell, the professors will not have any requirements for their studies, especially if they do not leave homework.

"We have one last exam." Ron kept poking the fried eggs on the plate with his fork.

"Change your thinking, we will have nearly two weeks of free time when today ends." Hermione's mouth was stuffed with food and said comforting words. Harry agreed, but his eyes subconsciously glanced at Neville. The subject to be taken today was the Dark Magic Defense. They were going to meet 'Professor Basharat' again.

"No, what can comfort me is that the fifth and seventh grade exams are still going on," Ron cheered up, "How many more exams are there in Ginny?"

"Four Doors," said Harry.

Ron sighed contently, and at this time, a large group of owls flew in, folded their wings and landed on the dining table, stomping the plate. Six or seven owls surrounded Dumbledore on the teacher's seat, and Professor Machiban next to him seemed allergic to the owl and kept sneezing.

Harry looked at it with relish until Ron screamed in pain. He turned around and a gray owl appeared on the dining table in front of him, and its beak seemed to have just been released from Ron's finger.

"It bit me!" Ron shouted aggrievedly, picking up the letter that fell on the dining table in anger. "I want to see who the owl is—oh," his tone became low, "it was sent by Bill."

He opened the letter and read it quickly. The expression on his face went from shock to joy. Before Harry could speak, he started to speak with a gaze.

"It's Bill and Fleur. They plan to get married this summer - Merlin's beard! Well, the letter said that the time is not yet certain. They want to count the itinerary of some important guests. It is initially scheduled in early August. They asked me to ask you by the way - you won't come, right?" Ron asked confirmation.

"Of course I will come."

"Yes, I have to be there."

Harry and Hermione said quickly.

Ron read the letter again contentedly, raised his head and said in surprise: "I don't know how Bill convinced his mother to accept Furong. You must know that her attitude has always been...well--maybe it's because his mother finally admitted that Bill and Tonks had no hope at all."

"Tonks and Lupin are engaged," Harry reminded.

"Yes, I think that's why." Ron said: "Mom's wish has completely failed." He put away the letter, and the three of them finished their breakfast, ready to welcome today's Black Magic Defense Examination with joy.

In the professor's seat, Felix opened the letter, which was quite formal invitation. He glanced at him and said that it was a rock-like English, and the signature was Bill Weasley. He looked at Dumbledore, who was calmly putting a letter away.

"International Wizards' Federation?" Grindelwald, who was sitting on the other side of him, suddenly asked.

"Babajid asked me for advice on the new law. Poor man, he had to face such a serious situation as soon as he took office." Dumbledore said calmly: "In fact, he did a good job in the past, but he lacked a little confidence."

Grindelwald was half-believing and half-doubted, he narrowed his eyes and fell into deep thought. Felix asked, "Principal Dumbledore, have you received a letter from the Weasleys?"

"Ah, I saw it." Dumbledore picked up an envelope with his slender fingers and looked at the signature on it, "It was Arthur and Molly, let me see what they said? Oh, oh--Wedding, another pair of beauties are in pairs!"

Professor Machban was desperately leaning back and constantly fanning the air in front of him, trying to keep himself away from the owl. "Let me go, I can't stand this!" she shouted loudly. After Professor McGonagall helped her leave the dining table, Dumbledore continued happily: "The scene of Arthur and Molly walking in the moonlight seemed to be yesterday, but in a blink of an eye, their children were about to enter the palace of marriage. Time is really charming!"

"I think," he turned to Felix and said in anticipation: "Sirius and Amelia, as well as Remus and Tonks, are these two pairs sure to win?"

Felix nodded.

"Then I have to prepare at least three gifts. In the two or three years after the end of the last war, I also received many invitations for weddings." Dumbledore stood up and pointed happily. "Compared with these good news, official duties seem too dull and boring. I have to remind Babajid that he is now the chairman of the International Wizards Federation."

Grindelwald stared at his left back for a moment and seemed to be asking and talking to himself: "Is what he said true?"

"What? The principal said a lot." Felix asked.

"Yes," said Grindelwald slowly, "he said a lot."

At the edge of the long dining table, Snape quietly glanced at several people from the corner of his eyes, with various thoughts in his mind. Dumbledore had concealed too many things - he was extremely convinced that he would not only enjoy this treatment, such as Felix, McGonagall, and even the mysterious Basharat, were all part of Dumbledore's plan. But no one could see the whole picture.

For example, he believed that there would be no third person in this world who knew that the old wand on Dumbledore had quietly changed his master.

What exactly does Dumbledore want to do?

Snape put down the tableware indifferently and turned away from the auditorium. He did not believe Dumbledore's lies at all, saying "It's better to be a permanent mystery" or saying "that's your business". If Dumbledore really wants the old wand to disappear, just let himself live to the end of his life. He doesn't believe that anyone dares to attack Dumbledore.

Unless he was on guard against someone, Snape paused and looked at Felix on the dining table.

Then he walked through the long foyer and up the spiral staircase. Dumbledore's words that night emerged in full, 'I hope there will never be a day that will be used, and it's best to be a permanent mystery, which means there will be no major changes in the wizarding world'.

Big change... Snape chewed these words and pushed open the classroom door.

Dumbledore had a premonition of some danger, but he was not sure whether it would happen or when it would happen. In this case, it would be unwise to let a mana wand disappear into history, so he was the backhand of Dumbledore's arrangement, a temporary custodian of... the ownership of the old wand?

Who is Dumbledore's ideal successor?

As soon as Snape opened the door, he saw Harry sitting in the front seat, and a strong sense of disgust suddenly surged in his heart. He never believed that Dumbledore would choose Porter, even if he had surpassed him in combat power... combat power?

Snape's body became stiff, and if we speculate from this perspective, the range of options available to Dumbledore is actually very small.

Harry stared at Snape blankly, and his mind had not turned around yet. How could Snape appear in the examination room? And why did his expression be so strange?

"Bang!"

Snape closed the door heavily and walked up to the podium with great strides, with frost on his face. Then he waved his wand suddenly, and stacks of test papers flew out of the locked cabinet in the classroom, landing accurately in front of the students.

"The present time - at nine o'clock, you have two hours to answer." Gu Feng

The students looked at each other and whispered to each other.

"Silent." Snape said loudly, and the sixth-grade students once again felt the long-lost low pressure covering the entire classroom.

"Where has Professor Basharat been?" Navi asked with courage.

"He is still alive, but-" Snape said slowly with his cold eyes staring at him, Neville's face turned pale, but what? Harry's heart also hung up. "But you can only see him in the afternoon. I am responsible for the sixth grade written test. Now shut up - the exam begins!"

They hurriedly lowered their heads, opened the test paper and started answering the questions. Harry thought while answering. Snape seemed very angry because he was coming to invigilate the exam for them? From his words, Professor Basharth should still be in school.

For the next two hours, the classroom was silent, with only the "rustling" sound of the quill rubbing against the test papers. After the exam, the students came out one after another and discussed in the corridor why Snape was invigilating for them.

"Maybe Professor Basharat is sick," said a student.

"He was fine in the morning, and didn't Snape say that he was responsible for the afternoon practical assessment."

Harry felt a sense of worry when he saw Neville's face. He looked for an opportunity to tell Hermione about this during lunch. Hermione held up her fork and thought for a while.

"We can do only a limited amount of this, Harry." Hermione said dejectedly, seeing Harry want to refute, she reached out and shook her fork to stop him, "Nevil wants to do something for Professor Basharat, which is the same as seeing Lupin off back then."

"Of course it's different!" Harry shouted, and the people around him looked over, and he lowered his voice, "At least I won't be hurt, but Ge-but that person," he said calmly, "I saw with my own eyes what he did - although it's just in my memory - there are many innocent people who died because of him! This is why I rejected his invitation afterwards. If he wanted to do something dangerous to Neville..."

"Man will change. He has been in prison for fifty years, right?" Hermione whispered: "Besides, have we analyzed that he is subject to strict spell casting restrictions?"

"I feel sorry for a Dark King who uses his exclusive wand." Ron muttered.

Harry was furious alone. He felt that it was because he had some favoritism for Grindelwald before, and the suspected glorification in the verbal description that made Ron and Hermione fail to realize the seriousness of the problem.

After the practice test of the Dark Magic Defense Arts class in the afternoon, Harry ignored Ron and Hermione's strange eyes and caught up with Neville and asked: "Have Professor Navig, Neville, what did Professor Basharat tell you alone?"

"He said I did a good job in the exam." Neville looked happy.

"Oh, I mean, besides these-"

"You want to know when Professor Basharat left school?" Neville looked at him.

Harry hesitated for a moment and nodded.

"Did you ask him?"

"I asked, and he said he wasn't sure," Navi said softly, "but he gave me this." He took out a walnut-sized glass ball from his pocket, "a spectator. It is one of the seven spectators that Professor Happ mentioned, and it contains a strand of Professor Basharat's hair."

Harry handed Ron and Hermione a meaningful look.

"—It's just bad." Neville said gasping, Harry was stunned. "Bad, bad?" he asked stammeringly. Neville looked at Harry strangely, "Yes, this is just a souvenir, Professor Basharat gave me casually."

"Can you let me see, Neville?" Hermione said in an unusual tone: "Well, I don't know that Professor Basharat has studied ancient magical literature."

Neville trustfully handed her the glass ball.

"I am his early work, and it is obviously not successful. In fact, Professor Basharat became interested in ancient magical writings very early, right? Harry?"

"Yes... I did see a lot of related books in his office and discussed them together." Harry said in a daze, the past scenes surged in his heart, and he suddenly felt a strong sense of guilt. He looked at Hermione, hoping to hear from her that there were no sneaky magic tricks hidden inside.

He hoped that he had guessed wrongly.

"The workmanship is exquisite and the patterns are painted." After a few minutes, Hermione said, returning the glass ball to Neville, "but it is indeed bad, and the magical structure inside is incomplete."

"Professor Basharat told me the same," said Neville. "The patterns on it are something he particularly prefers. You can see similar patterns on his clothes."

"Like Professor Slughorn's gold button?" Ron laughed.

Neville couldn't help but glared at him and retorted bluntly: "Professor Bashart's taste is obviously better." When he left, Hermione shook her head at Harry and Ron.

"You have heard what just now, and I really didn't find any problems."

"Okay, alas-this is the best result." Harry said with relief, and a stone fell to the ground in his chest.

The next few days were calm. Ginny's O.W.Ls exam was coming to an end, and Harry also took the time to go to the principal's office to finish the last class. When Dumbledore announced the end of the course, he was a little reluctant.

"You have seen the past century almost through my perspective, but this does not mean that you have the same wisdom as me. It takes enough time to digest it. This process may be short or may last a lifetime," Dumbledore said softly.

The old man opposite seemed to have enthusiasm and expectation in his blue eyes. Harry looked away slightly and his eyes fell on the official letters on his desk and a book "The Story of the Poems of Weng Bidou".

Dumbledore stared at Harry, noticed where his eyes were staying, and explained casually: "That was the official letter from the International Wizards Federation. They have been almost one letter a day for the past few days... I am indeed a little slow."

Harry actually wanted to ask what the storybook says and why it was placed on the desk, but the time was obviously not very appropriate, so he made up his mind to find a relaxing atmosphere to talk about this topic.

"How do I digest it-" Harry didn't finish his words.

"Do the right thing, Harry, not the easy thing," Dumbledore said, "and there is also diligent thinking. This principle seems to be said to be bad, but according to my observation, there are quite a few people who can withstand physical torture, but cannot withstand the pain of loneliness and thinking."

Harry nodded in a vague way.
