Chapter 635 Encouragement to Tom Riddle(1/2)
"Can it be a basilisk?" Ginny asked with a tremolo.
"No, that thing has feet." Harry said affirmatively, several people raised their wands to guard, the sound getting closer and closer, and then suddenly stopped. Before Harry could figure out what was going on, they heard the sound of dry retching.
"Ph!"
"Is it Valen?" Hermione said with wide eyes, and several people looked at each other. Luna asked with interest: "Who did you make an appointment with her?" Hermione trotted over, Harry, Ron and Ginny, and Luna followed closely behind.
Crossing the round iron gate, at the end of the long tunnel, Harry saw Valen holding the wet wall with one hand, shaking his head hard, and his flat mouth made a whimpering sound, looking dizzy.
"The nose that smells is very good, oh...it must have ruined a lot of sin."
Hermione said sympathetically. She squatted on the ground and patted Valen on the small shoulder, then recited a spell for Valen. The head of the smell was like a glass fish tank covered with it, and the pink nose kiss looked wider and looked a bit funny.
Valen blinked his eyes and was so dangerous that he finally survived and almost got stinked to death.
Hermione stretched out her arms, carefully picked up Valen (trying not to let it get wet, and her dirty hands grabbed him), and returned to the hall of the secret room with everyone. The smell here became much smaller. Hermione lifted the spell of bubble head and asked with concern: "How do you feel?" Valen jumped on the ground twice, put one hand close to his nose, and immediately moved away with disgust.
"Ouch! You're so stinking." Hermione smiled happily.
"Clear water is like a spring." She recited a spell, and a stream of water surged out from the tip of her staff. Valen obediently washed her hands and feet, then searched through her pocket, took out a pair of beautiful little shoes and put them on.
Ginny and Luna came over to look at it with great enthusiasm. Ginny stretched out a hand and poked Valen's stomach, "Ji!" Valen slapped her hand away. It put on its shoes and walked a few steps swayingly. The echo of its footsteps came from a distance in the open secret room.
Harry asked nervously, "Valen, is the professor following?" Ginny, who was about to say something, felt her throat dry.
Valen thought for a while and shook his head at him.
"But the professor must know, right?" Ron said immediately, "He may come over at any time - are we still looking for it?" His last sentence was to everyone. Seeing that Valen did not refute, Harry also guessed that the professor might know, maybe he was waiting at the entrance of the secret room now.
Realizing that they might be caught, the few people suddenly lost their interest in taking risks and prepared to leave. At this time, Harry suddenly looked up at the Slytherin stone statue that was flush with the ceiling. Under the white light ball above their heads, the old, monkey-like face, and sparse long beard lines were clearly visible.
"There is still a place I haven't gone to," he said, suddenly feeling a special attraction.
"What?" Ron asked, staring at the stuffed pockets of Ginny and Luna.
"When we were fighting with the Basilisk four years ago, the statue's mouth was open." Harry pointed to the statue with his mouth closed and said, "I guess there is an empty room behind it, there is a... a nest or something." Ron looked at Hermione uneasy, and Hermione looked at Valen, hesitated and said, "Harry, even if it is open, but since the professor later closed it, it means he doesn't want to let people in, right, Valen?"
Valen immediately became stiff.
It looked at Harry and then Hermione, not knowing whether to tell them that the Great Demon had an evil plan... But when the Great Demon said, "Don't destroy the laboratory", Valen bulged his chest and made up his mind to stop them firmly.
Harry was in trouble, and he stared at the huge stone statue, and the inexplicable desire became stronger.
"The professor prohibits us from entering?" he asked tentatively.
Valen thought about it, but there was nothing. It shook his head and wrote a few words in the air with his exclusive wand, "You can go in, but there may be danger." After writing it, Valen felt that he was not expressing it accurately enough, so he hurriedly added: "It has to do with that bald and ugly monster."
"Who is that?" Luna asked curiously, "Is anyone who has been hit by a spell?"
But Harry, Ron and Hermione looked at each other deeply, and the statue was related to Voldemort. But they also knew that Voldemort was now locked in Classroom Seven and didn't even know his consciousness.
Now the decision seems to fall on Harry.
"We can go back and ask the professor." Hermione said slowly, she knew from Harry's eyes that he was moved.
"No, the professor gave me the decision," Harry said calmly. "Walen is here, which means he knows where we are, but he has not appeared until now. What does this mean? It means he also feels embarrassed..."
Hermione opened her mouth and had to admit that what he said made sense.
Is that true? Valen thought.
Harry carefully looked at the Slytherin Stone statue. He had been having a happy time, but there was always a hidden worry - he didn't know how the professor and the principal were preparing and where the plan was going. As time passed, he became more and more panicked. Now he had the opportunity to find out, and the professor also acquiesced, and he didn't want to retreat like this.
Harry walked to the statue and said in a serpentant voice: "Open." The door was still motionless. As he spoke, he could sense Ron and Hermione standing on both sides of him, and he took a deep breath and said nothing. But when Ginny came over, he couldn't help but protest.
"Go back, Ginny."
"Did you learn to drive people away at this time?" Ginny hummed and said in a slightly mean tone: "Don't you think your life is still in danger in school, do you?"
Harry was speechless. He could only try to say in a snake-like tone: "Open it to me, Slytherin." This time, Slytherin's huge stone-carved face moved. Its mouth opened, wider and wider, and finally formed a huge black hole. The light of the illumination technique seemed to be unable to shine inside, but you could see something shiny flashing past.
"What kind of monster is that?" Ron whispered nervously.
"The horned snoring beast." Luna's eyes lit up.
"Luna, don't make trouble at this time," Hermione said sharply.
"No, it must be a horned snoring beast." Luna said confidently, "It is exactly the same as the reference picture I drew on the paper, except that the color is not right... there is no difference."
Harry didn't want to admit that he saw the same vision as Luna, but he said, "I saw it too. The one with a long nose, right?"
"Yes." Luna said happily.
Hermione stared at the two of them, her expression as if they were caught in a confusion spell together. They climbed up the statue's knees, approached the statue's open mouth, and carefully observed the hole. The sight did not become clear as the distance narrowed, and it was still dark inside, but they did see some glowing and moving things.
"I seemed to see a colorful deer," Ginny said.
"I saw a big wolf dog," Ron said.
Hermione pursed her lips and said, "Those are magical creatures."
"Demonic...what?" Harry asked in confusion, still staring at the entrance of the cave. The super-sensory curse made him hear some movement, as if it was the cry of multiple creatures mixed together.
"Magic creatures," Hermione explained, "you should remember what the professor showed in class, right?" The magic puppet and golden eagle made of dark golden smoke immediately appeared in Harry and Ron's minds.
"Actually, the professor has always had this idea," she said. "When he first taught me alone, he was very curious about the existence of the branch hat, which was almost a completely different magical life."
"So—these are—living?" Ron was stunned and pointed at the strange creatures of various forms that flashed in front of their eyes.
"They shouldn't be considered life--I mean--ah, I don't know," Hermione said with some distress. "At least last school year, the professor couldn't make them permanent. The professor combined ancient magic with memory magic at the end of the last semester to create a very real Hogwarts corridor."
"Just a corridor?" Harry couldn't help asking, it didn't sound like a big deal.
"If the professor can construct a corridor, he can use the same principle to construct creatures that only exist in fantasy." Hermione deliberately emphasized the words "fantasy". She glanced at Luna with her eyes slanted, but Luna didn't pay any attention. She couldn't wait to walk in.
Harry, Ron and Hermione also followed into the mouth of the Salazar Slytherin statue.
Then their eyes dazzled and found themselves in a strange place surrounded by rows of bookshelves and the lights were dim. The three of them held their breath and pricked up their ears to listen to the movements around them.
"Library." Hermione gestured.
Harry suddenly realized, but then a new question arose: Why are they in the library? Shouldn't they be inside the statue?
"Tom, Tom. You shouldn't have followed you." A low and depressing voice said, Harry felt the voice sound familiar, and Hermione frowned.
"First, sir?" a cowardly voice spoke.
"You follow me, want to know what I'm doing?" the voice asked softly, but the coldness revealed in the words became stronger and stronger. "Are you interested in the contents of the half piece of paper I found in my office? Do you want to know... what is Horcrux?"
Harry's eyes suddenly became wide open.
"gentlemen--"
"Sorry, Tom. This may be the last time I called you. Fortunately, it's vacation now. As long as I do it neatly, no one will notice that Principal Dippet trusts me very much, and he is always willing to believe me-"
Holiday? Harry thought, does it mean the weekend? No, he immediately realized the problem, and they should not be in the 'reality' now.
"Armor protects!" the young student suddenly shouted.
What is he doing?
Ron's scream was drowned in his throat. Their vision suddenly filled with golden flames. A black shadow flashed by, the window cracked into pieces, and the flames immediately followed burned a large hole in the walls of the library, and another figure flew out from the entrance.
Harry was stunned. The silent iron armor curse he subconsciously cast was in danger, and the golden flames stuck to the magic barrier, making a sizzling sound. It was possible to break through the defense at any time to burn them to ashes. At this time, Hermione finally came to her senses. She stretched out her hand, and the magic symbols flashed at her fingertips. Then the golden flames returned to her nest like a tired bird, and were taken into her control one by one.
The flames in the library were extinguished.
The bright moonlight poured in through the burning hole. A firebird was suspended two or three feet above Hermione's head and screamed softly. Hermione controlled the firebird to land on her shoulder. The firebird's eyes were sharp and covered with flames, but it did not hurt her at all, showing super control.
"That's...Professor Hayp?" It was not until then that Ron spoke with difficulty. His eyes almost fell off, "But who is the other one?"
"Tom Riddle." Harry said with a complicated expression, "I think we fell into a part of it-" He suddenly got stuck, what did he fall into a part of it? Memories? When did Professor Hepp deal with Voldemort when he was in school?
"God, mysterious man?" Ron almost bit his tongue out of surprise.
"It's a young mysterious man," Hermione corrected, "I know what we should do, keep up!" She ran out from behind the bookshelf, stood by the wall and looked into the distance, and could vaguely see the arc of spells flashing outside, and the two of them fought one by one and the other.
"…what should be done?" Ron asked.
"Fight, then ask the professor for a clear question." Hermione said angrily.
They walked through the burning wall, used the spell to fall lightly, and then ran towards the fire. Harry panted and caught up with Hermione: "Are we going to save the young Tom Riddle?" He understood a little.
"I guess that's the case." Hermione said, biting her lip.
The battlefield was far away. The appearance of Riddle, who had just flashed by, appeared in Harry's mind. He was tall, pale, with black hair and black eyes. He had seen this in Principal Dumbledore's meditation basin - through the memory provided by Professor Slughorn.
"Tom, I teach you all your magic."
Felix said in a low voice, and powerful spells silently plowed the ground out of crisscrossing deep ditches, and the shrubs and kapoks cut in half turned into countless sharp daggers with cold light, covering half of the sky. Tom Riddle looked at this scene in awe.
He never expected Dumbledore to hide so deeply! He actually made a Horcrux! He found out by chance, but he searched through the library but couldn't find detailed records. Riddle gritted his teeth and thought that he must have been taken away by Dumbledore.
He wanted to delay time, and there were other professors in the school and Principal Dippet. As long as they could find out, they could survive. Riddle was very angry. Damn it, why can't they talk about it when they came up?
He can definitely join the professor.
But from that cold and murderous face, Riddle dared not have any extravagance. He held up a shield from the thin air, barely blocking the impact of thousands of daggers, but the huge force threw him high, and his right wrist loosened and his wand flew out.
He lay on the ground, looking up at the man's face with a cold smile.
"Avada chewed on big tile--"
A firebird fell from the sky and blocked the killing curse with his body. The golden firebird let out a cry, becoming green and quickly disappeared into the air. Riddle gasped. He had never felt that death was so close to him and he didn't want to die. He had never realized this so clearly. Horcrux... Damn, he also wanted to make Horcrux, not one, but many.
To be continued...
