Chapter 578 Night Talk

Dumbledore handed over the hazy Umbridge to Auror in Hogsmeade village. Voldemort dug up her recent memories very roughly. She is not very clear at the moment and may even leave behind sequelae.

Then he spent some time to appease the panicked villagers of Hogmod village, "except for the heavy wind and sand these two days, there will be no other impact." Then he came to the Pig Head Bar.

Abuforth sat at the door of the bar, looking tired and scarred.

"You shouldn't have run out, your injury is too serious"

"Let me lie in the middle of the corpse?" Abufus roared angrily, "Why don't you try it?"

Dumbledore was slightly silent, "Okay, then I'll take you to St. Mungo, you need treatment."

"No big problem. The bastard wanted to see me beg for mercy, but I didn't do what he wanted," Abufors said rudely, spat on the ground with blood, "You're coming very quickly, faster than I thought."

But Dumbledore insisted on taking him to the hospital. In St. Mungo, Dumbledore took time to chat with the portrait of Daris Devent. Daris Devent was the principal of Hogwarts and also served as the therapist of St. Mungo. He is a very famous wizard and has portraits in many wizard institutions.

"The Ministry of Magic is busy, and the dark wizards completely ignored the secret law and exploded a big hole from the welcome entrance," said the old witch with long silver-haired curly gushing.

"That red telephone booth?" Dumbledore asked interrupted.

"Yes, a lot of Muggles have seen it," Dalis said angrily, "the Ministry of Magic will be busy with this for a long time. I don't want to delay the trial of Visengamo, and the Ministry has captured many dark wizards." She added.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "Maybe not that fast, the last war trial lasted for a long time. But our new minister is not bad, she will handle it... How is the situation in the school? The Minerva Patronus told me something, I want to know the latest progress..."

"Oh, they are becoming more and more capable, those little guys!" Dalis said excitedly, "It's really an eye-opener. They don't seem to want to wait for the support of the Ministry of Magic. Instead, they solve the problem themselves. They even formed a reinforcement, walked out of the school, and helped the nearby village of Hogsmeade to deal with the surrounding corpses and dementors. It's so exciting!"

"Mileva agreed?" Dumbledore asked in surprise.

"The opposition is invalid, the students are very enthusiastic..."

More than ten minutes ago

Felix, Harry, Sirius and others returned to school, and Ron and Neville trotted over.

"How is the situation?" Ron looked at the person who came back. "We found Avery on the way. He fell so badly that we didn't dare to touch him, and left him in place and wait for the professionals to deal with it. Where is Umbridge?"

"She ran away," Harry said briefly, Ron stared at him, and Harry added: "But her plot failed, and Professor Hepp appeared at the 'critical moment'." He glanced secretly, and Felix smiled at him, not refusing the rhetoric.

This made Harry very depressed. He alluded to it so obvious that the professor still did not respond. Well, he planned to analyze it with Ron and Hermione in private.

"Okay, I ran away with a small character, I get it." Ron smacked his lips, and then he said with some excitement: "Nevil had just come up with an idea, I think it's not bad. Do you want to listen?" He looked at Harry and looked at the others.

Everyone looked at Neville, who said shyly: "There are many corpses and dementors outside now. Some of them may have gone to the village next door to Hogsmeade. There are many wizard families living nearby, and not everyone can deal with Dementors..."

"You want to support Hogsmeade?" Harry said in surprise, and Felix also looked over. The idea was very interesting. Harry praised without hesitation: "Nevil, your idea is very good, we can really help."

Neville shook her head, "I just made suggestions, Ron, Luna and others helped to improve the plan, especially Luna, who solved the problem of not enough brooms."

"She is here too?" Harry asked, looking in the direction of Hagrid's cottage, he easily discovered that Glopp was too big and was walking around the edge of the Forbidden Forest. With the help of Glopp's positioning, Harry vaguely saw a few small dots around him. He tried his best to capture the yellow-haired person. He found Luna was stroking the black horse-shaped creature with wings.

"Yesterat?" He was surprised and enlightened.

"Our broom was stolen, and we always have to use our brains to find a replacement." Fred said with a smile, Moody's magic eyes looked over, and he tightened his neck nervously. "Just kidding, Professor Moody, don't take it seriously!"

"I have to remind you," Felix interrupted, "Your ideas are good, but first of all, you have to go through the school's consent... The person who is in charge is Professor McGonagall." He nodded, and Professor McGonagall ran over quickly in the distance, half of his hair was scattered, and he looked aggressive.

"Uh..." Harry was stunned and looked at Felix tentatively, "Will you speak for us, Professor?"

Felix blinked, "I really want to stand on your side, but... I have to maintain the relationship between my colleagues, so I can only convince her by yourself." Harry looked at Felix in amazement.

In the end, Professor McGonagall was convinced, but she strongly asked several professors to accompany him. Sirius, Fleeve, Sprout, Tonks, Longbottom and Emilyn Vance led the team, and more than thirty students rode brooms and the hedges to the sky.

The students rushed out of the castle looked at these people as if they were looking at heroes, applauding and cheering enthusiastically.

Harry rode his own fire crossbow and circled in the sky, watching excitedly as the students and professors set out from the bright Hogwarts School and rushed to the sky. When he turned around, he saw Draco Malfoy in the crowd. He stayed at school and stared at the sky with his eyes tightly. Harry saw unwillingness and jealousy in Malfoy's eyes, but unexpectedly did not hate this look, because he suddenly realized that Malfoy wanted to be a member of Hogsmeade riding a broom.

To put it another way to say unwillingness and jealousy can also be envy.

The people who stayed behind each perform their duties.

The dark wizard caught by Moody's guard, Mrs. Pomfrey, who was scratched by the corpse or tripped by the stone, Kingsley returned to the Ministry of Magic, and Felix and Professor McGonagall stayed at school, comforting the students to be precisely ordered to return to the safe castle. They were overly excited tonight and seemed to want to party all night outside.

“We can move the kitchen outside and wait for those people to come back from Hogsmeade.”

"You said, will they bring back some Honey Duke's candy?"

This idea was quickly suppressed by the dark forces on campus headed by Professor McGonagall. Although the sky above Hogwarts' head was as bright as day, the outside of the castle was not safe. Perhaps there was a corpse or dementor hidden in a corner.

They must check it carefully.

Later, Dumbledore returned to school. He learned about the situation one by one with Moody, McGonagall, Felix, Snape, and the night gradually became deeper. Snape stayed in his office, feeling the burning and pain in his arms, and he stood up expressionlessly.

...

"So you came to see me empty-handed, Severus?"

"Master, I did everything I could, even if I exposed myself, it would not be better." Snape lowered his head and said, "Please allow me to explain. I dare not hide it at all." A moonlight shone through the broken window and sprinkled on him, making his face look very pale.

Voldemort sat in the darkness, with no light around him, and the snake wooden staff in his hand made a "hiss". He had seen some fragments from Umbridge's memory, knowing what Snape did, but his heart was still full of anger.

Snape waited for a moment, and saw that Voldemort did not stop him, before speaking:

"You let me act according to the opportunity, and I did do it: I gave Umbridge the order to the principal's office at a critical moment, and then led Porter away. Then the army of Yin corpses broke in. Although Dumbledore was not there, McGonagall exercised the right of the vice-principal as soon as possible: summoning the other three deans and all professors. It would be too suspicious if I didn't show up. You know, I didn't gain much trust in the Order of the Phoenix, and there were too many people staring at me in the school.

Sirius Black and I are enemies, and I don’t have much friendship with Minerva McGonagall. Harry Potter and his friends are unconcealed in their hostility towards me. Potter also has the original map of living spots. Even if you tell me how to hide myself, I can’t do this easily, as it will cause greater suspicion.

I have a teacher-student relationship with Felix Hepp, but the last time I took the liberty to inquire about Crown's information might have consumed some of the trust. As for Dumbledore, he never put secrets in a basket, just like he secretly arranged for the Order of the Phoenix to go to school this time... He must have noticed something, but I knew nothing.

I even pretended to make a mistake to stop Potter when he tried to catch Umbridge, but Felix Hepp suddenly appeared and made the plan fail.

After Dumbledore came back, he took away the locket and crown directly, and I had no chance to intervene."

Snape told the story, and when he said this, he suddenly frowned, "There is something strange, I don't know if I have been exposed: I once hinted at Umbridge as a spy, but she was caught by Dumbledore. What if she confessed anything."

"Don't worry, I messed up her mind." Voldemort's loud voice came from the darkness.

"Felix Happ is a memory master..." Snape reminded.

Voldemort sneered a few times.

"If they investigate, they will find that Umbridge will identify a large number of spies, and you are just one of them. You didn't tell Avery about your identity, right?"

"No. I've always been cautious," Snape said.

"That's not safe," Voldemort stood up and paced in the empty room. "He's in St. Mungo now?" Snape nodded. "Avery was seriously injured, and seemed to have hurt his head and hadn't woken up yet."

"Then don't wake up." Voldemort said murderously. The "hiss" sound of the snake wooden stick became louder, as if there were hundreds of snakes roaring in the room.

"Master? Do you want me to go back to school?" Snape asked in a low voice, just rightly showing a trace of dissatisfaction.

"Don't you want, Severus?" Voldemort asked softly. He walked over and bathed in the moonlight, his naked pale skin seemed to glow. On the snake-like face, a pair of red eyes stared at Snape.

"Not sure it's not," Snape said hesitantly, "I thought I could come back this time to return to the Death Eaters team."

Voldemort looked at him silently for a while.

"Did you get tired of years of undercover career?" he said slowly, twisting the snake stick with his fingertips. "I need you to do the last thing for me, Severus. After this, you can return to the Death Eater family."

Snape looked up excitedly, then lowered his head, "Thank you, Master. I am willing to serve you, just like I did more than ten years ago."

"Very good. Dumbledore and I agreed to have a duel, and there must be a death...but I didn't finalize the specific time. Do you know why?"

"I don't know, master," said Snape.

"How was Dumbledore's injury on his hand?" Voldemort suddenly changed the subject.

"He suppressed his injuries on his left hand and needed to take potions every once in a while. I've never seen such a powerful magic, stronger than any curse, and most people have died long ago."

"I have confidence in my magic," said Voldemort, and Snape shut up.

After a long time, Voldemort spoke, "Wind Dumbledore and Severus as much as possible, but don't kill him, I'll see him fall before me. Your talent in potions is unmatched, and I believe you can unknowingly."

"But Dumbledore may have noticed..."

"It was too late then. Severus, you have retired. I will return all the glory that belongs to you. So be bolder, Severus, I am waiting for your good news."

...

"Voldemort is ready to give up on you."

Dumbledore said in a deep voice, Snape staring at him. It was early morning, but Dumbledore showed no sign of falling asleep. He was dressed in a very close manner, sitting at his desk, playing with a black gem ring in his hand.

"He wasn't sure if Umbridge would leak the secret. Those words were just to comfort you. I guess he arranged other tasks for you? And it was very time-consuming?"

"He asked me to poison you," Snape said coldly: "The faster the better."

Dumbledore smiled.
