Chapter five hundred and seventy fourth chaos castle(1/2)
"Is there something wrong?" Ron asked in a low voice, his hand unconsciously thrusting into his pocket, Harry knew that his wand was hidden there.
"Let's go out," Harry said almost whispered. Ron and Hermione stood up and hurried through the lounge. When they passed by Neville, he stood up and asked, "Ha--" But Harry quickly walked away, and he was still unsure of his mind. It was not a critical moment now, so it would be better not to involve others...
The three of them pushed open the door of the lounge and walked out for a distance.
"They're starting to act, Umbridge and Avery?" Ron asked impatiently.
Harry spread out the somewhat wrinkled map of living spots, and Ron and Hermione immediately surrounded him, "It's hard to say, look here." Harry pointed to a small dot, "It's Umbridge, she's walking towards the tower of the principal's office. I don't know if she knows the password, but..."
"Hey, we're on the eighth floor! Just turn a few stairs and corridors and maybe you can intercept her in advance." Ron said excitedly.
"Good idea," Harry said, "but there is a problem, we have to separate."
"Why?" Ron looked at Harry in confusion, then looked at Hermione, hoping to get an explanation.
"Umbridge's movement may be a sign, a sign of the beginning of the action. But she is not all, look!" Her finger pointed on the map, "Avery was in the auditorium, and he did nothing, which was not normal."
"Where are the people from the Order of the Phoenix?" Ron asked.
"Two guarded the auditorium, two were at the front and back doors of the school, and two were left... With it, Alasto and Tonks patrol the school wall."
"They are guarding against the Death Eaters to break into the school?" Ron said in surprise.
"It's possible," said Harry, looking down on the map, "Did you see Malfoy?"
"Maybe in the Slytherin common room, I'll look for it...oh, no," Hermione moaned, "he's out and is moving up. But at this time! Will he..." she asked uneasily.
"I don't know," said Harry, "so we have to act separately. You take the map and watch Avery on the way. Since Umbridge moves, he will definitely move. Fortunately, there are Frank and Alice, and other professors-"
"What about you?"
"I don't need a map, the destination is clear," Harry said briefly. "I just need to make sure no one slips into the principal's office. If it's just a false alarm, it's best, so don't disturb others."
Ron and Hermione nodded silently, Harry and they walked up different stairs and walked through two doors, and he knew that he was approaching the principal's office, and he had been there, and he still remembered the huge stone beast statue lying at the door, and Harry hoped that it would do his duty.
There was a stone monster in the middle of the empty corridor, and there was no one else. Harry didn't know if Umbridge had already broken in, but she couldn't leave in such a short time. At this time, the beast suddenly jumped away, and the stairs were winding downwards. A person appeared in Harry's sight. Harry slowed down and looked at the person who came out of the principal's office incredibly.
It's Snape!
"Potter," he blocked Harry's way coldly, "What are you doing here?"
"I, uh, Snape, Professor, I'm going to look for Principal Dumbledore, I saw Umbridge coming, she's going to break into Principal's office!"
"All nonsense, I just came out of the inside, the door was locked, and the principal was not here." Snape said coldly.
"But-" Harry opened his mouth, not sure whether Snape said was true or false. He looked back at the corridor when he came, and no one appeared. He was running too fast and Umbridge had not had time to arrive yet? Then can he block her when he walked back?
Or is he too sensitive, Umbridge was just in a hurry to go to the toilet, so he ran so fast? Thinking of this, the doubts that I didn't notice before emerged one by one. The Order of the Phoenix did not guard Umbridge, but scattered most of the people around the school and the castle...
Harry subconsciously stepped aside and prepared to leave, but he suddenly stopped and looked at Snape in scrutiny.
"What is the password? I want to go in and take a look." He said.
Snape's thin lips twisted a sarcastic smile, and Harry felt very embarrassed. He knew that Snape must have mocked him in his heart for overestimating his abilities, but what if, what if Umbridge was ahead of him and hid in the principal's office? It was her locked door, so Snape couldn't get in? Or were they both colluding with each other?
Harry didn't know Umbridge's goal, but he knew that Umbridge was sent by Voldemort, and Voldemort must have an ulterior motive.
He ignored Snape and walked quickly to the stone beast, "Ice lemon juice? Pear hard candy, uh-- licorice wand, blow-bo super bubble gum... Your master and I are in the same group, can you open the door?" he said angrily.
The monster remained motionless.
Snape looked at him mockingly, Harry stared at his deep black eyes, and was unsure of his mind. With his former temperament, he had already yelled at Snape, but Hermione accidentally reminded him this morning that no one could see the whole picture of the incident.
This reminded him: Since he could get a portion of the information from the other people, privately racking his brains with Ron and Hermione to try to piece together the complete truth; then it is possible that Snape is doing the same.
The premise of all this is that both he and Snape were only partially disclosed by Principal Dumbledore, but they saw another thread...
Professor Happ's reply also affected Harry's judgment. If the questions in that letter were as Ron said, "the answer is quite obvious", it is "love" - Harry's breathing was almost stagnant when he thought of this - Snape stopped his cliff and was willing to be an undercover agent, and everything could be explained in a discomfortable statement:
Snape was a bad guy, and this was something engraved in his bones. Whether it was his preference for Slytherin Academy or his uncovered hatred for Harry, they were just a powerful proof of this conclusion. The only difference is that he deeply loved someone - Lily, whose death made him betray his old master and completely turn to Dumbledore...
But if Snape and Dumbledore were in the same group, why would he ignore such a big thing and not care about anything? Harry thought angrily, didn't know that Voldemort was deliberately planning a conspiracy outside? Harry stared at Snape, so angry that he was very angry. The strong and complicated emotions in his heart kept surging, making him almost unable to think, and it was difficult for him to help with brain closure. Suddenly, a flame of inspiration ignited the fog in his mind.
Voldemort...
Yes, Voldemort is back, if - Harry feels breathless. He trembledly thought that he seemed to know where Snape got the information about the Death Eaters, not writing letters to his Death Eaters friends, not indirectly, but-he is one of them.
After more than ten years of peaceful life, the boy once again put on the cloak of the Death Eater... became an undercover agent again!
Will this be the case?
If Snape is an undercover agent, Harry doesn't have to worry at all. Even Umbridge is just a ridiculous tool to convey false news. He suddenly realized. But what if it is not? Harry looked at Snape hesitantly, and he had turned and left. Harry gritted his teeth and chased after him, blocking Snape.
Snape's eyes were empty and expressionless, looking down at Harry.
Harry could not see what he was thinking at all.
"Potter, do you want me to deduct points for you? As I said, twenty-two-"
"You know what's in the principal's office, fairy silverware, meditation basins, various precious books, and even information about Voldemort, and his soul-"
"Shut up! Potter." Snape interrupted him loudly.
"I didn't want to say it." Harry said calmly, wondering in his heart that he had reacted so quickly. "But you don't seem to be surprised, you know it, don't you?" He stared at Snape's face. "Then you should know its importance. We have destroyed several pieces, such as diary, such as the snake, and the ring... But maybe one or two are still there. Principal Dumbledore wants to crack its secret, and is now hiding in the principal's office. If Voldemort gets it again..."
"That snake? What snake?" Snape asked suddenly.
"Don't you know? Voldemort was following a big snake before he was resurrected, and later died. It was one of them." Harry said.
"One of them...one of them..." Snape murmured, and he suddenly stared at Harry with his empty and cold eyes showing a look of horror.
Harry couldn't understand this look, and there were too many emotions, shock, suspicion, enlightenment and fear... Maybe it was more complicated than the total emotions they had since their first meeting. When they stared at the green eyes, Harry suddenly lost the courage to look at Snape, but he stubbornly refused to look away.
Snape made a terrible sound of chuckling and chuckling, as if he was about to eat people. Harry was so scared that he took a step back, forcing himself to run away without turning his head. He admired his courage. He didn't know how long it took, but the complex and terrible emotions deep in the eyes of the opposite eyes were hidden and became unimaginable.
Snape looked at him and gritted his teeth.
Harry clenched his wand uneasily.
Bang! A distant, low loud noise interrupted their gaze. Harry looked out the window. The sound was not from this side. He ran to the other side, his face pressed against the edge of the window in the corridor, and he narrowed his eyes and tried his best to see clearly the dark edge of the Forbidden Forest in the distance. A fire rose into the sky.
I don’t know if it was an illusion, but Harry had an absurd idea. A big hole was blown into the school wall... Then a few more red sparks appeared in the sky, hanging in the air. Harry’s heart tightened. It was a warning signal of the Order of the Phoenix!
Snape also stood in front of the window, with his black eyes staring ahead. Apart from the red spark, the first fire disappeared, replaced by rolling black smoke, climbing straight up to the sky, they heard a faint shouting, and then a green light shot into the black smoke, twisting into an extremely large skull pattern, flashing with a heart-pounding green light.
"Dark Demon Mark." Harry said word by word. He stared at the huge skull ascended to the sky. Not only was it not covered up in the rolling smoke, but it became clearer. It was reflected in the red sparks emitted by the Order of the Phoenix. A giant python poked out from the skull's mouth, squirming strangely and gloomyly.
The Death Eaters attacked? Harry thought incredibly, and could not accept it for a moment. With Dumbledore, Professor Hepp and a number of professors, the safest place in the world, like a wall of iron, how dare Voldemort! Aren't he afraid of being beaten to death? Even with Horcrux, it's too stupid...
There was a buzzing sound in the castle, and Harry knew that the others had heard the movement, and might be asking each other what was going on.
"Potter, go back to the lounge." Snape said coldly.
Harry ignored him. He knew that the Hogwarts wall was broken and Voldemort would never do useless work. The danger had already happened! His face was pressed against the window, his glasses were embedded in his skin, and his nose hurt, but he saw something blurry. It seemed that there was something in the place where the wall was broken. Is it a Death Eater? But he was not sure if it was the reflection of the green black magic mark.
"Potter, I say-Go back!" Snape shouted angrily, holding his wand, he strode over to drag Harry away from the window - "Don't move!" Harry cried, his heart as if suddenly soaked in ice water, his body shivering. He saw clearly that a group of creatures were constantly pouring in from the broken corners, not the Death Eater in the black robe, but some kind of pale, strange humanoid creature with phosphorescence, unstable light, like clusters of beating ghost fires.
"Yin Corpse." Snape inhaled, his hands hanging in the air.
The sound in the castle grew louder and accompanied by screams and panicked footsteps, Harry jumped up suddenly, remembering what Moody said to him a few days ago, and there might be riots in the school... He left Snape and ran outside.
The riot really happened, Harry thought while running.
A large number of Yin corpses rushed into the school. Is it a hundred or a thousand, or more? It is impossible that there are only Yin corpses. He imagined the scene of a large army of Death Eaters, Black Wizards, werewolfs, vampires, and dementors rushing up...
The more he thought about it, the colder he felt. He didn't know how the members of the Order of the Phoenix guarding outside were doing now, whether they were fighting or withdrawing? He was extremely anxious. The only good news was that it was almost dark, and most of the students were staying in the castle. There was no danger yet, but it was not impossible. If there were students wandering around the edge of the Forbidden Forest... Harry was shocked. He thought of Luna. She had a horse friend named Ferenze. She and Ginny would occasionally go to the Forbidden Forest. If... he didn't dare to think about it.
There was also Hagrid, and Harry stopped in horror. The broken wall was not too far from Hagrid's cabin. Hagrid would definitely go out to check when he heard the sound, with teeth. Unless he was not at home and was with Little Glopp.
He prayed in his heart, hoping that Hagrid would have a sudden idea and insist on being with Glopp, even for a birthday, and he could accompany him in the future...
Harry was so overwhelmed by the thoughts in his mind that the map of the living spots was on Ron and Hermione, and he couldn't confirm the safety of these people. Fear kept pouring into his heart, and he heard a familiar voice, "Harry!" Hermione and Ron ran up from the spiral stairs, panting.
Harry found himself subconsciously running to the door of the Gryffindor lounge, and then the portrait of Fat Lady was pushed away from it.
Neville walked out and held his wand. He asked in a hurry: "What happened? I heard a sound, and those human-shaped things..." He shivered and shivered. Fred, George, Lee Jordan, Seamo and some people blocked the door and looked at Harry together.
"Those are yin corpses--" Harry gasped.
"It's really a corpse? Hey, I've only seen it in books!" Fred shouted, looking quite happy, "It's the mysterious man who did it? What are you waiting for? It's time for us to show our skills."
His words received a low voice of approval.
Harry was unhappy to find that he was in a difficult choice. He didn't know whether he should let them take risks with him. This was not training. No matter how hard the training was, it would not be life-threatening. Now it was a real battle, not one-on-one, but full of tricks. The Death Eater might be hiding in the Yin corpse, waiting to suck the cold son and recite the deadly spell.
If someone dies, he will definitely feel guilty for the rest of his life.
"Where is Ginny? Where is Luna? Are there any students outside?" Harry had nothing to say, he needed some time to weigh the trade-offs.
"I'm here, Harry!" Ginny said in her voice, and Harry raised an arm when he saw the crowd. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"No one is outside. When we came back, we saw Luna trying to open a door." Ron said.
"What door?" Harry regretted it.
"I don't know." Ron shrugged, "I'm too busy walking, I don't have time to ask-"
"How are you there?" Harry asked. "Has that Avery done anything?"
Hermione and Ron had a weird expression.
"He didn't move. When we saw someone staring at him, we went to find Malfoy. We intercepted people halfway, but he had nothing to do with the riot. Instead, we were ridiculed... or were we reminded?" Hermione said quickly, "Anyway, we know someone was going to break into Professor Hayp's office-"
"Who is it?" Harry asked hurriedly.
To be continued...
