Chapter five hundred and seventy-first preparations for both sides(1/2)
Harry narrowed his eyes slightly, and the broomstick was pitch black, with only a few magic wands emitting a faint light.
Three people, Angelina, were standing nearest to them. She was the captain of the Quidditch team; the other two, Harry, also looked familiar. He recalled carefully and recognized the strange couple he saw in the noon auditorium. Harry couldn't figure out how they met Angelina, and he hid in the broom with her and tried to drag them in.
"Angelina, what the hell is going on? And who are they?"
Harry asked, and Hermione quietly poked him with her finger behind her back, which made him notice that there were still three or four people standing in the corner, their faces mixed with wooden boxes, brooms, and cleaning tools, which could only show the outline of a part of the limbs, and look like a monster with multiple arms and arms.
'Angelina' opened her mouth and Ron suddenly interrupted, "Be careful that she is not herself, she may have used compound decoction." Harry thought Ron's words made sense, and his heart suddenly rose.
Someone was chuckling in the darkness, and Harry noticed one of the big guys looking down at something.
"Don't be suspicious, kids." The tall student with his head down stood up and approached them, Harry clasped his wand, which he had usually only seen in Slytherin's team. If Ron hadn't just reminded him that Angelina might be fake, he would have thought of the captains of the two teams having a conspiracy.
In the darkness, the silhouette of the speaker bent down slightly and put something on the ground. Harry realized that it was a magic lamp, and the next second the room lit up.
The bright and soft light completely illuminates the small broomsticks.
At this time, Harry, Ron and Hermione finally saw the whole picture of the room.
Including them, there are eight people in total. There are three of them... Harry unconsciously considers how they will win once they take action. Although it seems that the other party has not shown any hostility at the moment, Harry can be sure that the "Angelina" in front of him is definitely not the team captain he is familiar with.
"I'm Tonks." Angelina said, closing her eyes and making a thoughtful expression. Her face gradually turned into another appearance and her hair turned pink.
Harry, Ron and Hermione opened their mouths wide.
"It's really you! Then, then they" Harry stammered.
Tonks seemed to be in a good mood. She pointed to Harry and felt the familiar two people and said, "This is Frank and Alice, you have seen it in the Order of the Phoenix before, although now with another face..." She pointed to the people in the corner again, "Alastor and Kingsley."
These people greeted them one after another.
"Sorry, it might have scared you." Alice Longbottom said, "but you are really amazing." She pointed to the bruises on her wrist, and then she wiped the wand on the scratched area of the skin, which immediately healed.
Harry felt that what happened today was incredible, but he at least solved one doubt: the two people opposite the dining table during the day were Longbottons and their wives. They were not looking at him, but Neville next to him... But more questions arose, why did they appear in school collectively and pretend to be students?
Hermione suddenly took a breath and asked hissed, "Are you chasing Umbridge and Avery?"
Harry and Ron suddenly realized.
"Sharp girl," said the big student in a Slytherin green robe. Harry saw Professor Moody's shadow from his walking posture. The big student raised the paper in his hand, and the dense lines and black dots flashed by.
"Living spot map?" Harry said in surprise.
"Did you recognize it? No wonder, I heard you have a similar one, or the original one given by Felix," Moody said, his voice becoming younger, and there was no blue fake eye in his eye socket, which made Harry feel uncomfortable, but the next second his intact, younger eyes stared at them: "Little guys, you almost disrupted the plan."
The three of them immediately became nervous.
"Don't scare them, crazy-eyed men." Kingsley said with a smile. He still looked like Quidditch commentator Lee Jordan. But Harry knew that he had always been bald.
Harry felt like he was attending a costume party.
Kingsley said gently: "We went to school and did have to do with Umbridge and Avery, but we still had other tasks."
"What is the mission?" Ron couldn't wait to ask.
Kingsley shook his head slightly.
"It involves Voldemort? Do you need help?" Harry tentatively made suggestions based on what he had just heard in the abandoned girl's bathroom.
Kingsley blinked at him.
"Okay, okay, there's time to reminisce about the past in the future, let's finish the matter first." Moody said, his eyes falling on Harry, Ron and Hermione. Although they were completely different now, much more than Moody's, they still felt a subconscious sense of pressure.
"I saw it all on the map. The ghost named Myrtle led you to the girls' bathroom, right?" He waved the map of the live spots on his hand, and Harry, Ron and Hermione murmured. Moody snorted and paced around a small area. "It seems that your school life is rich and colorful, but you really shouldn't alarm them."
"But they forced Malfoy to make a contract," Hermione said anxiously.
"It's still an unbreakable oath!" said Ron. "That thing is absolutely deadly."
"Yes, we can't watch it..." Harry murmured.
Moody stopped pacing, and the others also showed surprise expressions.
"It's surprising," Moody said, glaring at them, still with suspicion on his face, "Say what you know, let's help analyze it. Granger, you said." He pointed Hermione's name.
"Oh, OK, Professor Moody." Hermione was a little surprised.
Moody grinned silently, and Harry finally confirmed that the smile was scary enough no matter what face it appeared.
"I have been your professor. Although I have only been half a year, my thesis impressed me. To be honest, it would be great if I had such an assistant when I was working, at least I don't have to worry about the report."
"Professor Hayp probably thinks so too." Ron muttered in a low voice.
"I've also written a few points for you, Alasto." Tonks reminded kindly, "You added me your usual points."
"Yes," Moody said, "It's so strange that I didn't look for you again."
"Hmm" After talking and laughing, Hermione cleared her throat and began to describe their experience. "We came back from the library and we met the 'crying Myrtle' halfway at about eight o'clock, and she told us."
Hermione finished speaking.
The people in the broom room didn't speak for a while and fell into deep thought. This made Harry and the other two feel a little unsure of their attitude. Hermione asked softly: "Did we do something wrong?" She thought of the 'plan' Moody mentioned at the beginning, and was worried that she would inadvertently destroy it.
"No, you did a good job," Kingsley comforted her, "We locked in Umbridge and Avery early, but we suspected that there were other insiders in the school, so we have been monitoring their movements with maps these days, hoping to follow the clues, just like tonight. But we can't squat under their noses to figure out what they said, and we can't know that they forced the students to make an unbreakable oath...you saved the child."
"The Death Eater's little boy." Moody said contemptuously.
"But it's also a student in the school." Kingsley nodded and said.
"He may also be a Death Eater in the future, just like his father, uncle and aunt." Moody roared in a low voice.
"You'd better make it clear that it was the aunt who married Lestrange," said Tonks happily, "to avoid accidental injury."
"Oh, I'm so sorry." Moody said angrily.
Harry wanted to laugh a little. He thought of the 'pure-blooded dilemma' that Sirius mentioned to him, and grabbed one and pulled out a string... But now it is not the time to laugh, and the atmosphere between the broom is a little serious. Frank, who was standing by, interrupted, "But that child is not a Death Eater at least now. If we work hard, even if he wants to inherit the 'family business', there will be no chance."
"I hope so." Moody's young face was a little excited.
"Alasto was just talking, but in fact he was more principled than both of us." Kingsley comforted Harry, Ron and Hermione, who were a little stunned. "He will make the same choice in your position, so there is no psychological pressure. You did a good thing today. I heard that you have a good relationship with Malfoy? This is even more impressive. Go back and have a good sleep."
At this moment, a knock sounded outside the door, and Harry and the other two turned back in horror, "Do you have any other people?"
"It might be Emilyn," Moody muttered, picking up his wand and signaling the others to be quiet.
The door opened, and a girl with straw-colored hair and a round face walked in, carrying a cloth pocket, "The food in the kitchen is much richer than I thought." She said happily. Harry always felt that he had seen this face somewhere, and he guessed that it might be from a senior student like Angelina.
"Hey, you are here too? Do you want some?" asked Emilyn Vance, taking out the food in her pocket and sharing it with others.
"No, thank you," Harry said, and Ron and Hermione shook their heads. "By the way," Harry turned to look at Tonks, "Where is the real Angelina?"
"Of course she is in her dormitory now," Tonks said with a bite of the pie in his hand. "I agreed with her that when she was thinking about a game plan alone, I will temporarily borrow her identity. You know, I am Disguise Magus. Others rely on compound decoctions to transform. Alastor, Frank and Alice use ordinary people's hair. Anyway, the school is so big, no one can guarantee that they know everyone... Aimile has a relative in the school. Usually we are two outside collecting intelligence."
Harry nodded, Emilyn turned around and came to him again, holding the pocket in her hand, Ron and Hermione each held a piece of chocolate sponge cake and smiled awkwardly at him.
"I made up for my homework all night, and I was a little hungry," Ron whispered.
"Eat a little bit, I asked the house elf in the kitchen for more desserts." Emilyn Vance said friendly.
Harry was so kind that he picked up a fried jam donut and ate it silently.
"Why did you come back so late?" Moody asked.
Amilyn Vance sighed, "There is a club in the kitchen where they exchanged experiences with the house elves and had a lot of fun. I finally caught a single person and asked him for help... It's so fresh. We didn't have such a thing at that time."
"Well, can I ask a question?" Ron asked.
Several people looked at him, and Kingsley smiled, "What do you want to ask? We won't disclose what needs to be kept confidential."
"What do they come to school for? I mean Umbridge and Avery?"
"You should ask the mysterious people what they want to do, and they can't help but make decisions. They can do destruction, steal things, and inquire about information... they are all possible, but the possibility of destruction is not very likely."
"Why do you say that?" Ron asked, wiping the cake residue on his mouth.
Several people looked at each other, and Frank Longbotton carefully answered: "Because the gain is not worth the loss. We judged that those two people should be the few undercover agents in the Ministry of Magic. After all, we have the upper hand now and there are not many people willing to surrender to the past. Moreover, unlike the last war, after having the thief waterfall, it would not work if we wanted to use soul-catching magic like the spell. Principal Dumbledore also confirmed this."
Harry, Ron and Hermione then lowered their heads to eat, and exchanged their eyes meaningfully. They probably knew Voldemort's purpose, Horcrux... But Harry was surprised in his heart, if Principal Dumbledore had a complete Horcrux in his hand, why not destroy it quickly?
"Well, I want to ask a question, is that OK?" Hermione asked.
"Okay, each person has one problem. Then you go back to sleep obediently." Kingsley said in a tone of coaxing the child.
"How long are you going to stay?" said Hermione. Harry looked up excitedly, and couldn't help but applaud Hermione in his heart.
"I can't stay for too long." Tonks said with regret: "No matter what they plan to do, they must act in these few days. That's why we were arranged to come in and stare at them a few more pairs of eyes... and those who dragged them down to the Ministry of Magic will go back."
"Okay, enough said," Moody interrupted, and he looked at Harry, "a last question."
Harry stuffed the last bit of fried jam donut into his mouth and asked in a scattered manner: "Professor Moody, have you seen Professor Snape on the map? What is he doing? And Sirius?" He added guiltily.
"Snape's name is not on it. Felix said when he gave me the map, and erased his name." Moody said calmly, not seeming to hear the targeting meaning in Harry's question. "As for Sirius, he was a little angry, thinking that we didn't tell him the first time, now" he lowered his head and stared at the map of the spots of life. "He was going around in his office, maybe thinking about the problem."
He clapped his hands and ended today's conversation.
"Children, I have to thank you for your noble behavior today, but you have to hurry up and go back because the lights are going to be turned off outside. Be sure to keep it confidential. You know a lot of inside information because we regard you as our own people," he saw Harry wanting to answer the conversation, and waved his hand and continued, "It's not the junior, but the relationship between future companions and comrades. I've heard about the club you run and the front line observation station in the past two days...this is great."
"Remember, there is no way to catch the black wizards. There is time in the future for you to show your strength. But not now."
Harry said somewhat disappointedly, "So we don't have to do anything?"
This question made Moody hesitate. He looked at Ron and Hermione, who were also looking expectant, and said, "If there is a riot in the school these two days, you can help maintain order. But it is very likely that you will pass without feeling anything."
"Without threatening one's own safety," Kingsley added.
To be continued...
