Chapter 562 Suspicious Snape

After Christmas, the days in Black's old house were inevitably boring.

Harry, Ron and Ginny were doing homework at the dining table, and every half an hour, Clicher would serve a pot of steaming tea.

"Thank you, I really can't drink it." Ron blushed, and soon afterwards he bent down and ran upstairs to the bathroom. Ginny looked disgusted.

She pretended to pick up the teapot, poured herself a cup of tea in a delicate way, handed it to her mouth, took a sip of beauty, and then gently placed the cup on the dining table. Looking up, Harry was frowning and pondering her essay on the potion class. She immediately flipped through the pages loudly.

Ron is back.

"Snape is still in the study," he said briefly.

Harry knew what he meant. Snape came on the second day of Christmas. At the time when the Order of the Phoenix members were still busy, he appeared at the Order of the Phoenix headquarters for three consecutive days. It looked a little weird no matter how you look at it.

"To be good, maybe he just covets the Black family's collection of books," Ron said.

"I've seen him, last night." Ginny said sharply, Harry and Ron turned their heads immediately. "I wanted to go to the kitchen to find water, but I saw him sliding down the stairs like a ghost, without a sound..."

Harry and Ron looked at each other, which became even more suspicious.

"Is he looking for something?"

"Maybe I want to crack the protection magic of the Order of the Phoenix!"

"Don't be stupid. The curse of loyalty is being cast here. No one can force Dumbledore to tell the secret!"

"It's better to write to Hermione, she knows a lot of unpopular magic." Ginny suggested eagerly.

“Good idea.”

In the next few days, Harry and Ron discussed what Snape planned to do, while anxiously waiting for Hermione's reply. After nearly a week, they realized that Black's old house was protected by magic and Hedwig could not find it at all.

Harry took advantage of lunch to go out for a walk and brought back Hedwig, who had been wandering around Grimmau Square for several days. Hedwig pecked Harry's ears and fingers angrily. Harry kept apologizing. After he had vented enough, he threw a bulging envelope on Harry's forehead.

Hermione's letter is long:

"My parents and I went to Switzerland. The environment here is very peaceful and there is no war atmosphere. I advised them to stay here for a year or two, but they firmly disagree and forced me to write a letter every week!

I taught them step by step how to order "Prophet Daily" and "New Interpretation of the Demonic Text". Although they couldn't understand the latter, they could find my name on it. They were also interested in "Singing the Contradictory", but fortunately I was dissuaded in time. I didn't want them to ask me what the fairy pie was in the letter.

I do know some methods for your questions, but I'm not sure if it works for Professor Snape. I recommend a method for Muggles, which is the inspiration I got from a detective novel that my dad has read recently. The specific method is to put the hair in the gap between books, and if someone moves, the hair will fall off... Other methods are attached to the end..."

"What do you think?" Harry asked Ron and Ginny.

"Use that Muggle method!" Ron and Ginny said in unison. Harry did not object. Obviously, he had no confidence in whether he could hide it from Snape.

Two days before school started, Harry went upstairs and asked Sirius to come down for dinner. At the entrance of the stairs on the fifth floor, Harry saw Sirius leaning against the door frame. He was about to say hello, but found that Sirius did not look at him, but lazily fiddled with his magic wand and talked to someone in the room.

Harry took a few steps closer and his voice became clear.

Sirius' tone was very unfriendly, "Tell me, how did you show up in my room?"

Who is he talking to? This question just came to Harry's mind, and the next second he knew the answer. A slow voice said, "Of course I have something to look for you, are you still lost?"

It's Snape!

Harry breathed rapidly and his heart beat faster. He held his breath. Snape's recent whereabouts were too suspicious and he was eager to know the reason.

"Yes," Sirius looked into the room with his eyes slanted, "I thought someone sneaked into my room to find something..."

"Look for something?" Snape said in a cold voice, with a strong contempt in his tone, Harry could almost imagine his thin lips pouting like a snake ready to spray venom, "Oh... are you talking about a bikini photo posted on the wall?"

Sirius, who was asking Snapexing for guilt, froze, and licked his lips, "What did you say?"

"I have to say that your taste is unique and courageous." Snape said in a sarcastic voice, Sirius blushing, "That's an old photo!" he growled in a low voice.

Harry didn't want to listen anymore, so he retreated and left. At this time, Snape suddenly appeared at the door and knocked away Sirius blocking the way. He was surprised to see Harry tiptoing back.

This moment was simply embarrassing.

A few seconds were as long as centuries. Harry stood there, and Snape sneered, "It seems that someone has discovered your little secret, Sirius. Will you recite the forgetting spell at him?" He strode away.

Harry slowly turned around and wanted to go downstairs, "Stop." Sirius said expressionlessly, and Harry stammered, "I heard nothing." Sirius couldn't help but curse in a low voice, not knowing who it was scolding, "Come with me."

Harry walked into the house with great courage.

He hadn't officially come in before, and at most he knocked on the door and called Sirius out for dinner. He had vaguely seen the carved bed and velvet curtains on the head of the bed. After Harry came in, he found that the room was spacious and beautiful.

Sirius sat on the bed angrily, pointing to the wall behind Harry.

"Look at it for yourself."

Harry turned his head slowly, thinking that he would see some weird photos, and he did see it. Harry first noticed the Gryffindor flags on both sides of the silver satin wall, which were like the tone of the entire photo wall, allowing one to tell at a glance which college the owner of the room came from.

Harry applauded secretly.

Then he had to notice the stickers and photos full of walls. Harry blinked, which was different from what he thought. There were many photos of Muggle motorcycles on it. There were only a few "bikini photos" in Snape's mouth. The girls' faded smiles were frozen on the yellowed photos - they didn't move, as if they were cut from the Muggle movie poster.

This was what Sirius stuck to the wall when he was in school. Harry realized it, and at the same time he had to admit that Snape said it right, Sirius was indeed very courageous...

In addition to these, there were many wizard photos on the wall. Harry was surprised and uneasy to find that he finally knew where the set of photos Sirius had obtained from the Clivi brothers was hidden. In front of him, dozens of Harry Potter blinked at him.

Harry didn't know which kind of emotions was more, but he was embarrassed and moved. His eyes were a little sore. After a while, he found a few alternative photos:

One is a picture of four Hogwarts students standing together with their arms in hand, Harry staring at his father, Sirius, Lupin, and of course Peter, who each smiled happily at the camera;

There is also a photo of Sirius and a young man wearing his shoulders. Harry knew it was Regulus. They were not old when they took the photo and Sirius had not yet run away from home;

The last photo - Harry's breathing is frozen - a black-haired baby flew in and out on a small broom, giggling, and two legs belonging to an adult man chasing him behind him, which must be his father, James Porter.

"What Lily sent me, I found it when I cleaned up the house." Sirius pointed to the baby photo and said, "It was hidden in my motorcycle repair manual, and I almost threw it away."

Harry was silent, not sure what to say.

"I still have a few letters here, written by James and Lily..." Sirius said hesitantly: "I have been hesitating whether to hand them over to you."

"Of course!" Harry said immediately, looking at Sirius with anticipation.

Sirius laughed.

"Maybe it's not the same as what you think... Most of the topics we talked about at that time were related to war, except for your mother, Lily. She had always had a great passion for life..." He muttered, and after that, he paused for a while, stood up from the bed, opened the drawer of the bedside table, and took out a stack of letters from it.

Harry stared at the faded ink traces greedily, wondering why he hadn't remembered this before. But then he thought that he had never retained the habit of Ron and Hermione's letters... He decided to change it immediately, starting from now on.

"Is James' invisible clothing still in your hands?" Sirius asked suddenly.

"What? Oh, yes, Principal Dumbledore returned it to me in his first grade." Harry replied, not knowing why Sirius asked this question, and he focused all his attention on the letters. He saw a line of beautiful handwriting, probably written by his mother.

He couldn't wait to take it, hoping to feel the temperature of the person who wrote the letter.
