Chapter 475 Repair Time Converter

"Don't worry, Hermione, Hedwig will send the letter to your parents on time." Harry said confidently, "It has never missed it-and Professor McGonagall said that on the day of the game, the professor will be arranged to pick up people at your house, and it will not waste time."

"I'm not worried about this...I, alas." Hermione sighed, "In their reply, they mentioned that they had gone to Diagon Alley and said they were exchanged for coins-"

"It's normal," Ron said.

"You don't know them," Hermione shook her hair irritably, "It's just an excuse to exchange money. I guess they must have gone to Diagon Alley to find out about the Contest."

Harry and Ron looked at each other, neither of them had this trouble. Ron's whole family was a wizard, and Harry, he did not think that the Dursleys would sneak to Diagon Alley to find out the news because they were worried about his safety. They would only pray that he would have an accident and never go back. Moreover, Harry's only relatives in his mind were Sirius.

"This kind of thing is inevitable," Ron comforted her, "and they will know sooner or later-"

"No, you don't understand," Hermione took a deep breath. "Is there any information in the entire Diagon Alley that is more intuitive than the striking image released by the Future World? I can imagine that Dad would buy a magic projector and a second project without hesitation. Maybe they have seen it, but they just didn't mention it to me!"

They came to the transformation class classroom that Professor McGonagall lent them to prepare for the practice of spells, especially those that might be used in the maze, which they have spent this month.

But today, Hermione is completely out of shape.

"No, I can't calm down." She said in frustration.

"Let's take a break," said Harry. "We've prepared very well, and there's no need to work so hard for the rest of the two days."

If it were usual, Hermione would have been the first to jump up against it, but today she agreed to Harry's statement and sat on the cushion with her knees in her arms, looking very helpless.

Harry and Ron didn't know how to comfort her, so they stood silently for a while. Harry took out the magic book from his schoolbag. He had read it from beginning to end. The professor said that the book had a very weak impact on him, and the magic inside could last for about a few months, so he simply gave it to him as a souvenir.

"Do you think it's the influence of this book?" Ron came over and asked in a low voice, "Hermione has read it, have you?"

"That was last week," Harry replied in a low voice, not thinking it was the impact of the book, "the magic effect won't last that long."

"What you said makes sense," said Ron, who took out the magic note from his schoolbag, read the little stories above, occasionally looking up at Hermione in the distance. He deliberately raised his voice and said, "No matter how many times she read it, it's still so scary... I doubt if Hermione had seen these stories in her third grade, would she dare to use the time converter? I mean, what if she turned a few more times..."

Hermione suddenly stood up, she took a few breaths and picked up her schoolbag.

"You're right, I'd better find something to do." She said and walked out of the classroom.

Ron was stunned for a moment and turned his head to look at Harry, "Did I say anything?" Harry shook his head, and they followed Hermione and followed her to the house of Responsibility. "I need an Alchemist's Laboratory...I need an Alchemist's Laboratory...I need an Alchemist's Laboratory..."

A quaint door appeared before them.

Hermione exhaled slowly, pushed open the door and walked into the room. Harry and Ron looked at each other, and they guessed what she was going to do. "I'm looking forward to this scene, too." Ron muttered, and the two followed closely.

The room is very spacious, with several huge workbenches in the center, and on the table are all kinds of strange devices, strange-shaped glass bottles, randomly placed solid wood tool boxes, golden balances, weights, crucibles... Two bookshelfs are erected against the wall, filled with common alchemy books.

Hermione put down her schoolbag, took out the time converter from it, looked back at Harry, and Harry tactfully handed her the gray hourglass.

"Are you going to fix it now?" Ron couldn't help asking, "I thought it would be a month or two."

"There is no need to drag it down," Hermione said calmly, "and it's not a repair, just to disassemble it and replace a part... I'm very sure with Nick Lemay's successful experience."

"I hope it's as simple as she said." Ron said hopefully.

Harry thought he would see a screwdriver or something, at most this screwdriver could screw it on his own... But Hermione just held the magic wand, recited a lengthy spell, and knocked it on the golden timer once or two, or outlined a few magical characters and alchemy symbols, imprinting them on the hourglass. A layer of fine sweat appeared on Hermione's forehead, and her expression was serious. Harry and Ron didn't even dare to breathe, for fear that their breathing would affect her.

After almost an hour, Hermione was already very tired, but her eyes were full of energy.

"Quick, Harry, Ron, do me a favor."

"What do we need to do?" Harry asked hurriedly, and he and Ron gathered to the time converter - the thing flew into the air and kept spinning around, emitting a soft white light.

"Get it, take off the original hourglass, and replace it with the flat headed one! Hurry up!" Hermione said, blushing, trying her best to maintain the magic.

Harry and Ron looked at each other and reached out with a nervous mood. Harry grabbed the timer that was constantly rotating, just like a dizzy golden thief. Ron took the opportunity to break the round-headed hourglass inside, "I can't take it down!" Ron shouted.

"Then use some more strength!" Harry said with a twisted face. This thing was so powerful that it was trying desperately to get rid of his restraints.

Ron gritted his teeth, put his hands on, and pressed hard, and the hourglass was successfully removed with a "click".

Harry immediately picked up the gray hourglass with his other hand, found the right position, and filled it into the gap, "It's done!" At this time, a sudden shock wave spreads with the golden timer as the center, throwing all three of them out.

Harry sat up with a grin, his arm hitting the sharp corner of the workbench, he suspected that it might have been broken, and then he heard two breaths of breath. Harry raised his head from his arm, Ron and Hermione both opened their mouths and looked in the same direction, he turned his head and opened his mouth wide in shock.

The time converter was hanging in the air, emitting dazzling golden light. Harry squinted his eyes and clearly saw that the gray surface of the hourglass seemed to be wiped by an invisible hand, re-branded. The substance inside the hourglass - those dark golden lumps - kept melting, distorting and deforming, and at the same time burst into a beautiful metallic luster.

I don’t know how long it has passed, all the golden light has disappeared, the time converter fell from mid-air, rolling on the ground for two rounds without moving.

"We succeeded?" Ron found it incredible.

"Yes, fortunately it's successful," Hermione smiled. "Once we fail, we will spend the whole night looking for the scattered parts."

After resting for half an hour, Harry and the others came out of the house of Responsibility. At this time, it was already midnight. They carefully returned to the lounge. Before they returned to their dormitories, Ron was still surprised, "It's incredible... We have repaired a complete time converter. When can we try it?"

"Not now," said Hermione.

"I know. I mean, by the end of the game, Hermione, I haven't experienced this feeling yet!" Ron said in a pleading tone.

Quiet for a while.

"Okay," said Hermione hesitantly, "not that you don't use it, but there may be risks. You've seen the consequences of wizards trapped by 'time'? We'd better take it to the professor first."

Ron was convinced that he had only one request.

"Don't tell Professor McGonagall that if she knew we had an uncontrolled time converter, it would definitely be confiscated!"

"We can ask Professor Hayp for help." Harry spoke on the side, thinking that Ron's words made a lot of sense. In fact, except Professor Hayp, he could not think of any adult who allowed them to hold the time converter.

...

On the morning of June 23, Felix's last grade was invigilator and returned to the office with a relaxed look on his face. Valen was sitting on the desk without any image, sniffing his nose. He held a postcard in his hand. Seeing Felix come in, Valen raised his head and looked at him with shiny eyes in confusion:
