Chapter 449 Scrimgeour

Felix came out of the Potions Office with satisfaction and looked into the distance through the window. It was late March and the weather was getting much warmer. From a distance, the direction to the Forbidden Forest and the mountains was finally no longer bare tan blocks.

"It's a pity not to go to the Forbidden Forest in such a good weather." Felix said to himself. He cast a magic spell on himself, shook off his body, and put on a silver cloak and soared into the sky.

On the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Felix fell down, and the silver cloak behind him turned into a light spot and disappeared. He couldn't help but think: "Maybe in the future introduction to me, one of them will be about cooperating with Dumbledore to study the twelve uses of the Patron Spell of the Patron Spell?"

He was amused by this idea and walked in the forbidden forest. Only when he got close to it did he find that although the weather was still cold, many plants had already drilled out of the cold soil and exposed tender buds.

He also saw a clump of musk orchids.

Felix visited several locations in the Forbidden Forest, including a unicorn group, a group of winged beasts with eagle heads and horses, a nightshade, and of course the nest of the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider. Goke's rule was relatively stable, especially with Felix, the "accomplice". Any individual eight-Eyed Giant Spider who showed a cruel nature would not end up being wonderful.

In the evening, Felix casts a spell for the wooden stake he picked up, turning it into a dog toy and gives it to Hagrid's hunting dog Teeth.

Back at the castle, he ran into Professor Frieve in the foyer, "Oh, Felix? Minerva was looking for you just now!" he said shrillly.

"Is there anything wrong?"

"I don't know...but she asked me to tell you to go to Dumbledore's office first, and the command is: Miscam." Flivie said the information he knew, "It happened almost an hour ago."

"Okay." Felix shrugged and came to the small tower that the principal's office was huddled. After reading the order, the huge stone beast opened up, revealing the automatic spiral staircase behind him.

Felix knocked on the door, and the shiny oak door opened automatically. He walked into the office. There were two people in the circular room, Dumbledore sat behind the desk, and another...

Felix narrowed his eyes, as if he saw an old lion walking towards him with great strides, his tea-brown mane and thick eyebrows flying freely, his yellow eyes sharp and impatient, and even the strands of gray hair and indifferent legs in his hair did not reduce this power.

A name Rufus Sclinger, the director of the Aurors office, the right-hand man of the Director of the Law Enforcement Division. But at least in public, he had never seen Sclinger.

So he turned around and looked at Dumbledore on the side, "Principal Dumbledore? You are looking for me."

"Oh," Dumbledore came back from watching the fun, crossed his slender fingers in front of him, and said with a smile: "According to the Ministry of Magic's appointment, Felix, you will have three groups of visitors today..." He glanced at the memo on the table, his nails slashed on it, and at the same time stretched out his index finger and bounced a piece of colorful candy paper.

"The first one is Professor Machiban of the Wizards Examination Bureau. She arrived an hour and a half ago, with Mr. Vera, vice president of the Ancient Magical Society. They are currently walking around the school with Minerva."

"I'm so sorry you didn't meet you," he said with a smile. "But don't worry, Macchiban told me that she was going to live in Hogwarts for a while, and I agreed."

Felix and Sclinger glared at him at the same time, and Sclinger said impatiently: "Dumbledore! You know I'm busy with work, I just need an answer... Maybe I should send an assistant here, but this is a big deal and I have to confirm it myself."

"Okay," Dumbledore said with a little regret: "The second one is Mr. Rufus Sclinger in front of you. You should have heard his name. He read the papers of Mr. Diggory and others from the newspaper, and was shocked by the phenomenon that ancient magical texts could amplify spells. It happened that his men had a Preparatory Auror..."

He looked at Sclinger, who was silent for two seconds and said in a low voice: "Abbot Barke."

Felix thought for a while, "I seem to have some impression of this name. Balk used to be an assistant to the duel club, but as far as I know, his ancient magical texts are not very good."

"He just verified the authenticity of some of the information," said Sclinger, without a smile on his face. He seemed to have lost his ability to smile for many years, "I later saw the specific effect from another young man. He only took less than half an hour to restore the views mentioned in the paper in the newspaper, which was amazing..."

"Which article is it?" Felix interrupted and asked.

"Fire Demonic Text and Fire Curse," Sclinger said stiffly: "There are also two "water flow" and "making curse."

Felix smiled, "I guess the young man's surname is Weasley."

"Percy Weasley, currently a senior assistant to the International Exchange and Cooperation Division, is responsible for Ludobagman and the Minister." Sklinger revealed a message he didn't know:

No one has taken over Bati Crouch's position yet, so he can only leave it to Fudge for the time being, and Bagman will also help.

Percy Weasley must like this arrangement. Felix thought.

"Let's open the skylight, Mr. Happ," said Sclinger. "I personally appreciate your magical achievements and express my gratitude for quelling the riots in the Quidditch World Cup... Given the current situation, we must make plans early...I want to invite you to the Ministry of Magic."

"Sorry, I didn't hear it clearly?"

Felix was really surprised. At most, he thought that the Auror leader wanted him to help train a group of Aurors or strikers, but he didn't expect that even he had to pack and poach him.

"The situation is not optimistic, Barty's affairs make the ministry." Sclinger suddenly stopped talking, turned to look at Dumbledore, and exchanged glances with Dumbledore, "Okay." He muttered, "Since you know a lot, I might as well say a few more words, but these are confidential information..."

He limped to the window and looked at the black lake in the distance, but Felix felt that he was observing himself with his own light. He turned his body slightly and made a look of ear-washing.

"There was a tantrum in the ministry," said Sclinger. "I mean those who are smart, or those who are good at observing words and looking for information... They were frightened by Bati Crouch's performance that morning, and it was working hours... people came and went..."

Felix imagined in his mind that the senior official of the Ministry of Magic who was dressed meticulously on weekdays suddenly dressed in a messy manner, and his hair ran to the Ministry of Magic to surrender. Anyone who saw it would be shocked.

"... He seemed to have suffered terrible torture. Fudge was panicked and as disappointing as ever in the face of an emergency, it was still Ms. Bones who stabilized the crowd and brought Bati Crouch to the small conference room... A few of us, I, Fudge, Ms. Bones, Sinkness, and a few of us... Hearing Bati Crouch's testimony... you can imagine how shocked we were!"

Felix did not answer, and he knew almost all of this. He even knew that there was a person in the office at that time, Lucius Malfoy. Yes, Lucius himself also had a position in the Ministry of Magic. Although he was only a nominal consultant and did not undertake any specific affairs, he could interfere with many things after he had this title, especially since Foggy came to power, Lucius even donated a large sum of money, which made him easily the Minister of Magic.

"Luckily the news was blocked, in order to avoid causing public panic..." Sclinger explained to himself and continued: "But only Fudge was still pretending that Crouch had not escaped the influence of the spell, accusing him of talking nonsense. Bones, Sinkness and I all realized the seriousness of the problem..."

"Mr. Sclinger, your topic is getting further and further away." Felix reminded him kindly.

Sclinger glared at him, as if he was blaming him for interrupting his speech. He shook his hair as fluffy as his mane, "It's about to be said... No one would be so stupid that he ignored the testimony of a high-ranking official, especially afterwards we checked his wife's grave, which was very horrible, and it was empty inside..."

"Empty?" Felix asked hurriedly.

"According to Bati, his wife begged him to exchange her for her son before she died... One life for another, and a compound decoction, a very smart way! A normal person and a dying person walked into Azkaban, and then came out. No one knew that the person was just thrown away." Sclinger's face showed a complicated expression for the first time. More than ten years ago, he was also a member of the support of Bati Crouch.

Felix suddenly realized that he almost understood how Crouch Jr. disappeared from the public's perspective and was confirmed to be "dead".

"If this is true, then what reason do we have to believe in other things? Although Fudge still rejects that possibility, both Sinkenis and Ms. Bones, they almost believe it..." He looked at the deep blue sky, and his thick eyebrows frowned deeply: "A Death Eater met his master and planned secretly to restore his strength, but since he sent the only trusted Death Eater to Hogwarts, it means that there is something he urgently needs..."

"Dumbledore, has the Philosopher's Stone really been destroyed?" Sclinger asked suddenly.

So Felix judged from this sentence that Sclinger was not Dumbledore's man. Dumbledore said softly: "Of course, this is the result of my discussion with the Nicklemay couple."

Felix knew about this and did not express much surprise, but when Sclinger looked at him next, he couldn't understand, "So, you don't have it?"

What's not? Felix blinked and suddenly realized that this was Sclinger's purpose. Some people may think that the reason why Hogwarts attracted Voldemort's attention repeatedly was that there was something here that could restore his strength.

For example, a philosopher's stone that was not destroyed as promised, or a philosopher's stone inherited by others.

The former is related to Dumbledore, while the latter naturally involves Felix.

"I did not inherit the Philosopher's Stone from Nicklemay." Felix bowed slightly, his attitude becoming cold.

But Sclinger's biggest goal of this trip was achieved, or in other words, he thought he had achieved it. He continued along the scheduled plan and said: "In summary, we realized that the power of the Ministry of Magic must be strengthened. The Department of Magic Law Enforcement decided to expand the number of people recruited, especially the Auror office, and we urgently need more talents."

Felix declined Sclinger's recruitment, although he hinted that Felix would take over his position in a few years.

But he did not refuse the invitation to train Aurors and strikers, which was the same result he wanted. "Just arrange it during the Easter holiday, how about it?" Sclinger asked.

“No problem,” Felix said, “I need to prepare some things, including the people I trained for their identities, school grades and magic that are good at.”

"You should know that these are secrets, right?" Sclinger said sternly immediately.

"I know, but I will know sooner or later..." Felix said happily: "I just try to avoid wasting both parties' time."

Sclinger stared at him with his scary yellow eyes for a while, and just when Felix thought he was about to fall asleep, he said in a deep voice: "I will send someone who can trust to copy the information and send it. You can finish reading it on the spot and destroy it on the spot without including confidential files!"

"Then let's say that." Felix stretched out his hand, and Sclinger limped over, holding his rough hands heavily with him.

When the tough-handed Auror leader left the office, Felix sat unceremoniously on the sofa, "He looked ambitious."

"Well," Dumbledore said slowly, while fiddling with the silver ornaments on the table with his slender fingers, "This is obvious, to some extent, not a bad thing. He had a premonition of the arrival of the war and thought it was an opportunity... but in fact there were many people who stood in front of him, Amelia Bones, Pierce Sinkenis... If Barty had not been imprisoned in Azkaban, he would have been one, and the war would have prompted people to miss the iron-blooded director."

"You mean he is very ambitious and talented?" Felix asked sharply. Sclinger seemed to be quite imposing and was a person who did practical things.

"I'm just afraid that he underestimated the horror of war," Dumbledore murmured: "That's right, he's experienced the war more than ten years ago and fought the Death Eaters to the death, but he didn't know whether it was luck or misfortune. He had never met Voldemort head-on... They still haven't realized the key to the problem: Voldemort will be there. Once Voldemort disappears, the Death Eaters will have nowhere to hide like a little beast that has lost his father."
