Chapter 419 Golden Egg

The next morning, although Harry and Ron both wanted to leave the school hospital as soon as possible, they were too tired last night and were seriously injured. Mrs. Pomfrey said that Ron's legs were still swollen, and Harry had at least six ribs broken.

"The healing curse can only cure some minor injuries, such as a twisted nose, and can only be used in emergencies." Mrs. Pomfrey said at the time, but the two of them once suspected that this was just a means of cheating them of taking medicine.

After drinking the potion, their brains immediately became drowsy, like taking off the mechanical alarm clock, and it was getting slower and slower. Harry and Ron fell asleep after a few words of conversation. This was a dark sleep, and they woke them up until Hermione came to visit them.

Harry told the story of what happened last night and deliberately emphasized that "time is too fast, so I didn't have time to call you." Hermione shrugged, "Unless you stand outside the entire girl's dormitory and shout, you can't get in, and I may not necessarily hear it..."

Ron coughed heavily, his voice sounded like a "prom", and Hermione's ears turned red.

The two had some displeasure last night

After the opening dance, Ron accused her of her relatives and enemies during the drinks, while Hermione explained that the meaning of the championship was to "promote communication". When Ron shouted that Crum was not interested in her and just wanted to find out the secret of Golden Egg, Hermione was angered.

"He never asked me a word about the golden egg, never!"

Ron's speed of light changed tactics.

"Then, he definitely hopes you can help him figure out the secret of the golden egg!"

"I never helped him study that golden egg!" Hermione was furious. "In fact, he invited me at the beginning, in the library, but I was hesitating, for ridiculous Warriors or something, guess what? Roger Davis immediately invited Collins, and my two fool companions only knew to complain that the beautiful girls were picked!"

Harry's expression was very innocent.

He really didn't expect to invite Hermione, but this was because he had always had secret thoughts on his own. Perhaps Cedric and Qiu Zhang had a fight... Well, he knew this could not happen, but this conclusion made him even more frustrated and lacked interest in the next dance.

Anyway, after that, Harry and the unhappy Ron went to the courtyard to get some breath, accidentally heard the conversation between Hager and Mrs. Maxim, and also learned that they were both mixed-race giants, while Hermione (according to herself) stayed in the auditorium and sulked alone.

Harry was skeptical about sulking because when they went back, they saw Hermione dancing happily with Professor Hepp...

After the dance, Harry found that Hermione and Ron were not talking anymore. They returned to the dormitory and slept with thoughts until they were awakened by a nightmare and chased the spy in the castle with Ron... When they saw Hermione again this morning, Ron and Hermione were polite, as if the quarrel of yesterday had never happened.

And when Hermione heard about Hagrid's identity as a mixed-race giant, she didn't feel fussy.

"Actually, I thought he must be a giant," she said, shrugging. "I know he can't be a purebred giant, because they are about twenty feet tall. There is no need to be such a nervous affliction... This is a prejudice, just like people's attitudes towards werewolf... Maybe there is a house elf... although these two prejudices are not the same!"

Ron obviously disagrees with this view, but he just tactfully said what he said to Harry last night and pretended to be the first time he introduced him to Harry:

"Hagge shouldn't say it everywhere, although it might be the first time he encountered a similar person, and he was overly excited... I know he is not dangerous, and everyone who knows him knows this, but it will be troublesome if outsiders hear it. People are taboo about this." He hummed from his nose and said in a secret way: "Even if it is a prejudice, it is a collective prejudice. Concealing is the best way to hide it when there is no way to change it."

He saw Hermione open her mouth to refute, and immediately speeded up his speech and said to Harry: "In the public's impression, giants are cruel. Although I also heard the love story between giants and dwarfs when I was a child, Fred and George told me... But I have never believed their nonsense since I was six."

Harry kept laughing, pretending to be the first time he heard it, nodding seriously.

"My father said that they stood on the side of the mysterious man in the war, foolishly believing that the mysterious man would give them more living space... As a result, after the war, they were naturally liquidated, and a large number of giants were killed by Aurors. Perhaps Professor Moody also participated, and his legs might be the injuries he suffered at that time..." Ron guessed irresponsibly.

"...A small group of giant tribes that did not do much evil were driven out of England. I don't know which mountain to hide in now."

Harry didn't think it was right to continue discussing the topic of 'Is Giants a brutal nature', because Hermione's eyebrows stood up strangely, and he decided to take the initiative, "Well... Hermione, that's it. Ron and I saw you late. You disappeared a few hours earlier yesterday afternoon. Even if you were taking care of your hair, it wouldn't take that long?"

He felt that he was talking nonsense, because Hermione's hair had returned to a matte state at this moment, and he thought that although he didn't understand, no one would refuse to make himself more beautiful if he could keep it.

Sure enough, Hermione gave him a blank look.

"If a girl wants to dress up, no amount of time is enough... But I really didn't delay time because of this. It was Valen, who gave me a Christmas gift, me, uh..." She bit her lip, not knowing what to say.

"We know," said Ron, "I mean... we heard a little bit, what gifts she gave to make you fuss about. If you forget time, it wouldn't be a big sum of Jin Jialong, right? One of my grandmas said that the only one who can defeat time is Jin Cancan's cute little one."

Harry and Hermione looked at him at the same time, and Ron shrugged, "She is old and leaves a will to exchange all her property for Jin Jialong and bury her, but I'm not sure if her descendants will do it..."

"Of course not, it's a broken time converter." Hermione said lightly.

"Walun gave you a time converter?" Ron shouted with his eyes widened and screamed.

"Nothing fuss, it's just a broken one." Hermione said, also giving him the word "fussy", but Ron didn't hear it at all.

"Take it out and take a look! Hermione, I haven't seen the time converter yet!" said Ron.

Harry also looked at her expectantly, "Did you bring it?"

Hermione's eyes bent, "Of course," she lifted a golden chain from her chest, a small disc-shaped timer, with a circle of gold brackets on the outside and a small hourglass on the inside, with a very sophisticated shape.

"Is this the time converter? It looks so beautiful... are you sure it's broken?"

Hermione didn't say anything, shook her eyes in front of them, and stuffed them back into her clothes.

"There's nothing good to look at. We might as well focus on cracking the secret of the golden egg," she said enthusiastically. "I finally decided on a plan that I'm sure not to destroy its structure..."

Harry and Ron stared at the golden egg she brought over, and the thing was placed on the cabinet beside him, with hesitation expressions. Harry looked at his pajamas. If it couldn't stop screaming while analyzing the golden egg, they would have to even run out.

He didn't want to be embarrassed in the castle corridor in a pajama during the day.

But Hermione had made up her mind.

She stood up and hugged the golden egg in her arms, pulled Harry's pillow over and placed it under the golden egg. Harry and Ron watched in fear, and made suggestions:

"We can try the exode potion"

"I tried it," said Hermione.

"Exposure spell, eraser, analysis spells"

"It's useless." Hermione fiddled with the golden egg and pulled out her wand.

"Try Adrian's deconstruction method, he blew it very mysteriously in the book."

"Well," Hermione put down her wand and said to the two, "To be honest, I did use some of the techniques he mentioned, mainly because I found that he likes to think about these tricks of taking shortcuts... This is also one of the reasons why later generations do not highly evaluate him."

Ron gave Harry a look, which meant, I'll just say it.

Taking advantage of this, Hermione put her wand on the golden egg, knocked and beat it, occasionally stopped to listen, or recited a few Latin spells. Harry and Ron understood some of her techniques, after all, the books they read were the same, but the progress and digestion level were different.

"She used the layering method." Harry whispered to Ron.

This method is very commonly used in alchemy. The principle is to remove all parts that can be removed, such as protection spells, decorations, and those minor functions, pointing to the most core secrets, especially suitable for alchemy novices.

From time to time, Hermione took out bottles and jars from the beaded bags, and used a small brush to dip the potion on the golden egg. In the shocked expression of the two, she took off an egg shell.

"Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"Because it doesn't matter," said Hermione, and while she spoke, she took off another piece.

Harry felt very helpless, as if he was back when he was living in the Dursley family a few years ago, when he lived in the cupboard under the stairs. Every evening he had to wait for Dudley to go upstairs and he would deliberately use a lot of effort to step on the steps and shake off the dust.

And now, his mood was the same. He didn't know which fragment of the golden egg he had to remove, it would suddenly make a creepy sound, scaring everyone.

When the golden egg was only half left, Harry's impulse became stronger. He hesitated and didn't know whether to remind Hermione that there was a sick Professor Moody not far from here. If he heard it, he might rush over and recite evil curses to all of them, such as forcing them to put their ears on the golden egg...

"It's done!" Hermione said happily.

Harry and Ron leaned over to see that there was only a piece of golden egg the size of a palm left in her hand, but it was quiet now, no different from other pieces.

"Are you sure you succeeded, Hermione? If you fail, we won't laugh at you." Ron said generously.

He remembered that Collins Foley had reminded him at a Christmas dinner that although he didn't know why and didn't hear a word clearly, he felt that since there was a first time, she would definitely not mind telling him the second time.

Hermione hummed twice, her eyes narrowed, and turned into a crescent moon, and her wand gently tapped on it.

"Click."

A subtle sound of shattering, the last piece of fragment in her hand was divided into two, and a low and harsh scream rang out.

"Is there any difference except for the smaller sound?" Harry asked. The only thing worthy of comfort was that he no longer had to recite the silent spell.

"Oh, it lacks a necessary environment," Hermione smiled brilliantly, "I retained its core functionality, storing and converting sounds, as long as I put it in"

"In the water!" Ron suddenly patted his head and said.
