Chapter 206 Dialogue with Lupin
Harry woke up from the bed in the school hospital and opened his eyes to see the white ceiling.
"Give it to you, Harry." He heard Hermione's voice and he reached out to take it-it was his glasses.
After Harry put on his glasses, his vision became clear. He saw Hermione and Ron sitting aside. Mrs. Pomfrey prepared the potion on the small table at the head of the bed, and Professor Lupin leaned over to check his condition.
Through the aisle, Professor Haypu sat leisurely on the bed opposite, looking through a copy of the "Prophet Daily".
"professor--"
"Child, drink it first," said Mrs. Pomfrey, and Harry struggled and said, "I think I'm fine!"
"Oh, is that?" she said absent-mindedly: "It doesn't prevent you from drinking all the potions, hurry up, otherwise I'll replace you with a pair of life and death water."
Harry drank the liquid in the cup in one breath, and he looked at Felix and said anxiously: "Professor Hepp, have I been holding on for two minutes?"
Felix put down the newspaper and said with a smile: "Your last moment is really good. I was planning to pinch the time."
It was not until two or three seconds later that Harry knew what the professor meant. He showed a surprise expression, "So, I, I..."
"Well," Felix blinked at him, "You can think about your wishes slowly, not too hard, or I will refuse."
Harry blurted out: "I want to know about my father, and Sirius Black!" He glanced at Professor Lupin next to him-he was looking at himself in shock, so he whispered: "Thank you for coming to see me, Professor Lupin."
Professor Lupin said gently: "Nothing, I happen to be fine tonight. Harry, what's going on about your father--"
Mrs. Pomfrey took a blanket and said, "It's a little cold at night, cover it." She turned her head and looked at the two professors, and said impatiently: "The patient needs rest, so try to make a short story."
Professor Lupin changed his words and said, "Harry, I know you have some questions. You can come to me this weekend. I won't bother you anymore, Professor Hepp, let's go together?"
Felix stood up, "Of course."
The two walked out of the office together, and as they turned a corridor, Lupin stopped: "Professor Haipu, we need to talk."
“About Porter?”
"Yes, about Harry," Lupin said calmly, "You can see that you treat him differently. But don't you think some of your practices are not suitable for a third-grade child?"
"You mean?" Felix looked at him curiously.
"Summer special training, please forgive me. They were in the same carriage with me, and I heard some. From Harry's description, he fainted more than a dozen times in your special training..."
Felix said casually: "It may not be the case. If the data I recorded is correct, it should be 32 times."
Lupin looked at him seriously, "Don't you realize the seriousness of the problem? He is only thirteen years old!"
"What does age mean? Will Black let him go because of his young age and wait until he becomes an adult?" Felix said mockingly, "If you are worried about his health, it is unnecessary. I am well prepared."
Luping suppressed his anger, "Harry will be safe to stay in school. Moreover, not everything can be 'prepared' to get rid of. Have you ever considered his psychological endurance? What were you doing when you were thirteen?"
Felix looked at him expressionlessly and said softly: "In my opinion, your reasons are all excuses. At least, I will not place my hope on others, and I am at ease pretending that nothing has happened."
Lupin calmed down and hesitated for a moment and said, "I don't want my words to show some prejudice, but you are from Slytherin and are still Snape's student..."
"What do you want to say, Lupin?" Felix knocked on the window edge in front of him, "I'm in a hurry."
Lupin took a deep breath, "I care more about Harry's safety than anyone else, and you have a great influence on him. But Snape and his father were mortal enemies when they were in school. I was worried that Snape's attitude would affect you."
Felix's eyes turned out the window, "Severus can't control me, but I really don't plan to change my teaching philosophy. Professor Lupin, you are too busy with yours. Does Harry have anything to do with you? Let's separate."
He took a few steps and counted silently in his heart, one, two, three...
"I know Harry's father! We are good friends, even far beyond the limits of this word, and I am grateful to him." Lupin said suddenly.
Felix, who turned his back to him, curled the corner of his mouth and looked back at Lupin, "Are you expecting to convince me with vague words?"
"...Harry's father, James, Potter, he is the seed of genius in the school. He can learn anything and be the best person, and the little Sirius...I mean Black." Luping stood side by side with him, looking out the window, it was completely dark. "I was a marginal figure at that time, and it was James who accepted me."
"James and that man are young and energetic, have a flamboyant personality, and are very popular with their classmates. James later joined the Quidditch team. But on the other hand, they also became targets for Slytherin."
Felix asked with interest: "Can you tell me in detail?"
Lupin thought about it and carefully selected the words, "Slytherin of that period... may not be the same as what you have come into contact with. The theory of mysterious people is very popular. Many students join the Death Eaters team as soon as they graduate. We all call them privately the Death Eaters reserves."
Felix nodded and said, "I have heard of it."
"James and that person are Sirius Black, who was still a good person at that time." Lupin said arduously: "They soon became a banner of Gryffindor. James was carefree and liked to play pranks, but he hated evil and always protected his classmates in the academy. Black, who was strongly disgusted with the corrupt family he came from, also had no favoritism for Slytherin. He even broke off relations with his family at the age of 16. I just didn't expect that he would betray James in the end." He shook his head and did not continue.
And Felix already understood what he had not expressed. He said with emotion: "How can a boy full of justice become an evil dragon, so how can it not make people sigh?"
Lupin continued: "James and Black offended a lot of people, of course, some people did hate them because of pranks, but they didn't care about it, and Peter and I were part of it. Looking back now, I feel incredible about my stupidity at that time."
"You are not just trying to tell me some of your experiences when you were young, are you?"
"It's almost time to say that James and Black had a archenemy at that time, the current Potions professor, Severus Snape. They fought openly and secretly, and for some reasons, this struggle reached a fever pitch in the last few years."
"Because of Harry's mother?" Felix interrupted him and asked. Judging from the news he found, it seemed that it was mostly emotional entanglement. "Please forgive me, I found some information in private."
Lupin stared at him with a complicated expression, and after a while, he said, "You are such an absolute Slytherin, Professor Hepp. I have no intention of defaming it, but you know some inside information but keep silent..."
Felix said briefly: "What I know is limited and I can't get a glimpse of the whole picture of that year, but it's okay to use it to distinguish some doubts. Please continue, Professor Lupin..."
Lupin said speechlessly: "It's far more complicated than that. I'm one of the people I know best, Professor Hayp, I hope the conversation between us will not be revealed."
"At least I won't say it." His eyes drifted across a corner of the corridor, showing a playful smile.
But what if someone is here?
"Harry's mother, Lily Evans, she and Snape were good friends before entering school. James and Black hit it off at first sight. The wonderful fate made them sit in the same carriage for the first year, but this meeting was not pleasant. After entering school, James complained to Lily, reminding her that she should not make friends with Slytherin's people. They were all a bunch of scumbags, but Lily ignored him."
"It didn't take long before I became friends with James and the others, and I brought Peter. The four of us were inseparable, somewhat like Harry and his two close friends." He said with a smile. That should be the best memory of his life.
"As I said before, James and Black quickly emerged and gained a large number of fans. As for their relationship with Snape, they can only say that they are similar to Harry and Malfoy now. Snape has brought together too many points that James doesn't like: unkempt, studying black magic, is a Slytherin, and he also entangled his classmates."
"Why is it entanglement? I remember you said that Snape and Harry's mother were good friends." Felix asked.
"Yes, but you can't expect the eleven-year-old boy to calmly analyze the problem, not to mention James and Sirius..." He paused, "both of them are impulsive."
"The conflict between James and Snape quickly escalated. James casts a curse on Snape. Snape also developed various spells to fight back. Lily has been protecting Snape and is disliked by James."
"A few years passed like this, James was heartbroken," he smiled. "He suddenly had a good impression of Lily, who had been unfavorable to him, and tried to chat with her, but how could Lily pay attention to him? James quickly changed himself. He became less arrogant and did not always show off himself. In short, he showed his mature side..."
"The battle between him and Snape was also moved to the darkness and was not allowed to be seen by Lily. We didn't think it was wrong. At that time, Snape had already shown his strong potion talent and was loved by Professor Slughorn, and gave him many small training sessions. We agreed that if he graduated, it would definitely increase the strength of the Death Eater."
"In the middle, Lily and Snape broke off due to some bad things, and James took advantage of the situation. Please forgive me for using this word, but the meaning is similar."
"James and Lily are getting along, and his relationship with Snape has become more complicated - disagreement of personality, disputes over ideas, and finally emotional problems are mixed with."
"If I were to say that Snape hated the most was James, and secondly, it might be Black, who acted as an undercover agent for the mysterious man and leaked the address of Harry's family. Oh my God, I don't know how to tell Harry that James trusted him so much and even made him Harry's godfather..." Lupin said with red eyes.
"Professor Hepp," Lupin looked at him, and said sincerely: "We don't have much contact, but I can tell that you are a serious and responsible professor, and some of my students like you very much, even though they are not old enough to take your electives."
"I tell you these past events, hoping that you will not be influenced by Snape. Please believe me, my feelings for Harry are sincere."
Felix was silent for a moment, "Professor Lupin, you think too much. Harry is a student I am optimistic about, and I also look forward to his future."
Lupin left, Felix's gaze looked at the corner, sighed softly, and left from the other side.
