Chapter 171: The Shrinking Wand Tree

The July wind blew across the forbidden forest of Hogwarts, and the green branches and leaves swayed and combined into a gentle sleeping song. Felix felt as if he was rubbed by his hands on the nerves of his brain, and his whole body was relieved.

He passed by the Beating Willow, and walked briskly to the Hagrid House, "Yaya." The black hound shook his tail happily and barked happily at him.

Hagrid pushed open the door, stomped his hands on the door frame, and red sauce stood on the corner of his mouth. "Felix? Uh, I'm eating... Please come in, there's something messy inside..."

He wiped his mouth in panic and blushed.

...

In the evening, in the office, the blank photo on the workbench flashed, Felix looked at the old man who suddenly appeared in the photo and greeted gently: "Hello, Mr. Nick Lemay."

...

Late July.

Felix looked at himself in the mirror. Under the blue casual suit, there was a light-colored plaid vest, covered with a dark double-breasted windbreaker, loosely open.

He gently touched his chest, and a crystal magic glow jumped from his windbreaker.

"The windbreaker made of dragon-skin mixed with snake-skinned skin is very comfortable to wear, and the snake-skin vest is also good." The sun shone through the window, shining on his fine black hair, complementing the glory on his clothes.

At the end of July.

Felix looked through the data of the little wizards learning magic, trying to get some useful conclusions.

"Knock!"

Professor McGonagall sent the list of course selections, and when he saw the dense names on it, he was frozen in place.

"Minerva, did something go wrong?"

Professor McGonagall smiled and slapped the list in his hands, "You should be happy, Felix, the students like you."

On a day in August.

Felix excitedly counted the magic symbols in the thinking hut, and three times, he finally determined an accurate number.

"One thousand three hundred."

In a year, he used Hogwarts' huge library to increase the number of ancient magical texts by nearly a thousand, and in the expected years, this progress will only be faster.

As he mastered more and more magical texts, his understanding of ancient magic no longer lingers outside the door. Many times, he often feels like a sudden inspiration.

The most obvious example is that he made great progress in studying the incomplete ancient magic that Flivie gave him. Hagrid could testify for him—

Under Hagrid's stunned gaze, the branches of a magic wand tree shook desperately, and quickly shrank from a height of 17 or 18 meters, ten meters, seven meters, three meters... A brown earth pit was left on the spot, and hundreds of tree-protecting pots fell to the ground, grinning at the two of them.

After no brave men took the lead in charge, the little guys jumped up to the magic wand tree next to them, and gestured in dissatisfaction.

"Where is the tree? What about the tree in such a big class?" Hagrid stretched out his hand and drew the shape of the tree in mid-air.

Felix poked his hand out, "The wand tree flew in." A foot-high sapling flew out of the ugly pit, and was grabbed by him.

Hagrid took it, and the thing was not as big as his palm. "This, is this the tree before?"

"Yes, one of my magic has improved and can do something that I could not do before." Felix was quite satisfied with the effect of this magic.

The magic wand tree is magical, but it still cannot withstand his magic.

‘The next exchange, Philius will be shocked.’

Hagrid looked at him and then at the sapling in his hand, silent. After a while, a magical idea suddenly appeared, "Felix, if you use this magic on Lu Wei, will it become smaller? Can I keep it in the yard?"

"Ahem!" Felix coughed twice and said awkwardly: "Hagge, this magic has not been tried on magic animals yet. I don't know what the specific effect is, especially a huge magic creature like a three-headed dog. If something goes wrong..." He didn't continue, but he was worried that the magic would have irreversible consequences.

Hagrid said with some regret: "No? Lu Wei has always been alone, and I still want to let it be with Yaya."

"There will be a chance in the future, Hagrid, wait until I improve it for a while."

Hagrid said with interest: "Do you need my help? I can provide some less important magical creatures, such as Billy Viagra, Transformed Lizard, Thorny, Flober Slime, Grindillo and so on, which should be useful to you?"

Felix's eyes lit up.

"That's great. I think what this magic needs most now is practical data."

"But Hagrid, I must remind you that magic has time-consuming effects, and even if I extend the effect as much as possible, the predictable time of action is only a few hours."

Hagrid smacked his lips, "That's fine, at least I can still hug it, poor Luvi, since it grew bigger than my house, I can never let it put its paws on my shoulders."

The two squatted on the ground and carefully observed the little magic wand tree. Its surface was filled with green magic lines. After about half an hour, it changed from one foot to two feet, but after only ten minutes, it grew to two meters.

And it is growing faster and faster.

"Hagge, get out of the way, I'm going to put it back into the tree pit."

Hagrid took two steps back, Felix threw it back into the pit, put it in the right position with magic, and then he saw the magic wand tree expanding rapidly, which was a magical picture-

Just like what Felix saw in the book: When an unskilled wizard recovers Animagus, the process is often extremely slow, and it is easy to see strange scenes in which a certain part of the body recovers first and other body parts follow.

The same is true for this magic wand tree. The process of its recovery is absolutely not wonderful. A branch suddenly stretches out, and then the trunk expands outward as a whole, like a huge pumpkin planted by a seagrid. Then it shrinks back, but the overall growth is sharply increased by a foot...

After half a minute, the unlucky wand tree finally returned to its original state, but it looked miserable, with branches hanging low and half of the whiskers exposed. Felix used magic to bury them one by one into the soil.

Finally, he poured another bucket of nutrient solution, and the condition of the magic wand tree seemed to have improved a little.

Felix looked at it carefully, and for a while, he turned his head to look at Hagrid, "Do you think it's a little crooked?"

"Is there any?" Haeger didn't see it.

"Looking here, I remember it was straight, but after it recovered, it was a bulge."

"Uh," Hager thought about his Lu Wei's recovery and looked like a big bump on his back, and couldn't help but shake his head.

Felix glanced at him, "You didn't notice? From my perspective, it was still very obvious..."

...

In the evening, Felix received a Prophet Evening News. The headline of the night was-
