Chapter 12 Undecrypted Conversations
Time went back an hour ago.
Snape strode into the principal's office, his face tense, but it is not difficult to see that he is very annoyed at the moment.
"Principal! Principal Dumbledore!"
Dumbledore looked up from the table, "Ah~ Severus, are you doing something?"
Snape stood in front of him, and instead of sitting down, he kicked the stool away, and across the table between the two, he asked angrily: "You recruit Felix Happ into school to teach? What do you think!"
Dumbledore put down the book at hand, "Severus, I can't see any problem. Mr. Hepp is very outstanding. His talent is recognized by the magic world, and of course, me."
Snape was quite impatient: "I didn't say he was not capable enough! I once taught him, and I knew what kind of person he was."
"It's true, you've evaluated him, 'a standard Slytherin' - a very high rating." Dumbledore said with a smile.
Snape looked ugly, "I'm not praising him." - but mocking.
Dumbledore nodded, "We all have some understanding of Mr. Hepp, and I know what you are worried about. Since he is going to teach at Hogwarts, it is worth our time to sit down and talk slowly." He waved his hand and pulled the stool back.
Snape sat down stiffly, as if under his butt was not a mat, but a fire-breathing dragon.
"Pumpkin juice? Tea? or a glass of butter beer?" Dumbledore asked, and with each word he said, a cup appeared out of thin air.
"I don't need it." Snape was very embarrassed.
"Then just have a cup of tea, Mr. Happ likes it very much." Dumbledore put a cup of tea in front of Snape.
But looking at Snape's appearance, he seemed to swallow a fly.
Dumbledore said softly: "Let's talk carefully. I have also had some misunderstandings about Mr. Hepp in the past, but as he grew up, my views on him have changed. It was not until recently that I had a deep conversation with him that I finally made up my mind to hire him."
"I think you're so confused." Snape mocked.
"Although I'm older, I've become more awake over the years. We're always more likely to make mistakes when we are young, aren't we?"
Snape snorted, then said, "That boy Felix is not a good person. He relied on his strength to do whatever he wanted in school, and how much trouble he caused!"
"Do you know how I came here in those years? Because of him, I almost met most of the pure blood families in Britain!"
"I can receive their complaint letters almost every day!"
Dumbledore seemed to smile, but he quickly covered his mouth and drank a large sip of pumpkin juice. He agreed: "Indeed, Mr. Happ was crazy about his strength in his lower grades, but we all know that there is a reason for this, isn't it?"
Snape pursed his lips and said nothing.
Of course he knew that Felix was in a bad situation at that time, even worse than his situation back then, at least his enemies did not come from his own academy.
Dumbledore said calmly: "Minerva once complained to me that the Sorting Hats did not accurately assign students to the appropriate academy. She always thought that Mr. Hepp should go to Gryffindor. What do you think?"
"That boy is the standard Slytherin." Snape said the same words as he used to in a sarcastic tone.
"I agree with this." Dumbledore nodded, "Mr. Hepp... He is an excellent wizard, extremely outstanding, and one of the most talented people I have ever seen in my life. He has been pursuing power, and I can see it very clearly that even though he rarely shows it after the fifth grade, he never stopped his pursuit of power."
"Even after graduation, this is what I was most worried about at the time."
Snape listened quietly, he did not deny Dumbledore's wisdom. The old man's experience was legendary. He planned to listen first, what made him change his mind.
"He applied to stay in school when he graduated. To be honest, his ability is completely enough, and even just curse, he is even better than me in the subject. But I still refused. Not only because he is too young, but also because he cannot hide his ambitions in his eyes, I am afraid that he will go astray."
"But luckily, he followed my advice. After finishing his first year of travel, he settled in the Muggle World and began to study Muggle. It was also at this time that I kept exchanging letters with him."
Snape listened quietly, he didn't expect that there would be such an experience between the two. You know, when he learned that Felix became a Muggle research expert, his eyes almost bulged!
"Maybe he is pretending." Snape said reluctantly.
"No, Severus," Dumbledore retorted, "I can see through people's hearts. Living long has these benefits. Even without magic, I can know what most people think."
"From his admission to this day, he has not shown any discrimination against Muggles. On the contrary, his research on the Muggle world is very profound, which has obvious evidence in his books. He does not think that wizards are superior, but rather, he is constantly drawing wisdom from the Muggle world."
Snape retorted: "I didn't say he discriminated against Muggles, Dumbledore! But his thoughts are equally dangerous. Do you know what he said in the book "How Muggles Think"?"
He quickly said a passage as if he was an endorsing: "The theory of bloodline is also popular in the Muggle world, but unlike the magic world, more and more Muggle countries are abandoning this argument, which is due to their productivity being hundreds or thousands of times higher than before. Adequate supplies have laid a solid foundation for their promotion of education, while those civilians who do not have excellent bloodlines have shown extremely exaggerated potential, making the development of the Muggle world a speed as if they were on a broom."
Seeing Dumbledore wanting to interrupt, Snape continued to memorize a paragraph regardless of the matter: "In the Muggle world, if the proportion of nobles is one, the proportion of civilians is more than 10,000. And when the rulers liberated the civilians, their development efficiency broke down all obstacles with unstoppable force!"
The entire principal's office became silent.
Even the portraits of the principal who were listening to one side grew up. These words seemed to not mention the magic world, but were just a simple introduction and analyzing the development process of the Muggle world, but they all imply the current magic world.
One of the portraits was filled with righteous indignation and shouted loudly: "This is betrayal! A betrayal to the glory of pure blood!"
Other portraits also started to twitter.
