Chapter 150: Arhat turns the hammer and let the horse come over(1/3)
kowtow?
Want to become your teacher?
Ji Yuan was slightly startled, and he even more suspected that the killer monk had gone crazy.
Where in the world can a master kneel down for his disciple?
Wouldn’t it mess up the seniority!
"Master, have you been stimulated by something? How about I find a doctor for you?"
Ji Yuan hurriedly walked out of the door, fearing that the skinny old monk would really kneel down and kowtow, which would be difficult to end.
He thought to himself that he was not a piece of pure gold or jade, a Buddha or a disciple banished to an immortal.
How could a great master from a Zen holy land beg like this?
I've changed my body and destiny several times, but the effect hasn't been so obvious!
"The root cause of Lao Monk's illness lies in the lack of a close disciple to inherit his mantle."
The killing monk did not feel that his attitude was humble and he said with a smile.
"If you agree, you can recover without medicine."
He is very open-minded and open-minded.
He was dressed in rags every day and looked like a beggar.
I went around asking for alms and asking for food, but I was often insulted and made fun of.
There is no need to worry about a little slander.
For the killing monk, the face of a monk is of the least value.
If you can exchange for a successor, it will be a real gain.
"Actually, there is nothing wrong with becoming a disciple of the master."
Ji Yuan returned to the house, put on his regular robe, and dismissed the servants and servants who were crowding outside.
"It's just that I am now an official of the imperial court, and one of the 100 households in the sixth rank of Fusi in Beizhen can't be ordained and become a monk.
To be fair, Ji really does not have the indifferent mood to see through glory and wealth, so he gave up glory and wealth and was willing to become a monk.
Master, why don't you think again and accept me as a lay disciple?"
The killing monk shook his head repeatedly and said unhappily:
"How can lay disciples obtain the true inheritance? Although I have no sectarian views and conservative thoughts, the martial arts, Buddhism, and reputation of a single lineage...how can it be easily handed over to outsiders?"
Ji Yuan couldn't help but sigh and expressed regret.
He and the killing monk lived under the same roof, and their temperaments were quite compatible.
This old monk has nothing wrong with him except that he loves playing tricks and being the Riddler.
It's not like some outsiders who want to put on airs and poses.
All he needs is to have "unconventional" and "immortal spirit" carved on his forehead.
"Good disciple, do you like being an official?"
The killing monk lowered his eyelids and asked in a low voice.
He thought to himself that if he could accept this successor, he could even go back and get some clothes.
"Ji's pursuit of an official career...is not a pursuit of an official position.
To me, the flying fish uniforms of hundreds of households are just a foothold and a talisman."
Ji Yuan walked out of the corridor and stepped into the open space in the backyard, with a frank look on his face:
"Master, you have traveled all over the world, and you must understand that the world is difficult and not easy.
It is really difficult to live a comfortable life without bowing to others.
The further we go, the more we find all kinds of difficulties entangled with us.
Don't look at the fact that everyone in Beiya respects me three points and fears me seven points. They call me Lord Ji.
But as early as more than a month ago, most of them called me Liaodong Mudleg and didn’t even bother to associate with me.”
The killing monk said thoughtfully:
"You are an official just to live a good life."
Ji Yuan opened and closed his eyes and said calmly:
"A person who is unknown is rarely respected by everyone, and a person who is unprofitable will end up alone."
A real man is born in heaven and earth, if he is unwilling to bend his heart.
Either make a fist or hold power, you have to occupy the same position.
The killing monk lowered his head and recited the Buddha's name, and said softly:
"There is no peace in the three realms, just like a house on fire. It is full of suffering and is extremely terrifying."
Ji Yuan nodded, put his hands behind his back, looked at the white walls and black tiles, pavilions and pavilions in the distance, and suddenly smiled:
"The Buddha saw that sentient beings have little wisdom and many obstacles, and are obsessed with color, sound, smell, smell, touch, and other six objects, unable to extricate themselves and unable to know themselves.
Only then did the four-level Dharma path of the Supreme Vehicle, Mahayana, Middle Vehicle, and Hinayana be passed down.
Those with sharp faculties can see their own nature and become enlightened.
Those with ordinary abilities, who have gone through storms and hardships and cut off the troubles in their hearts, become great Bodhisattvas and great Arhats.
Those with low faculties are trapped in scriptures and statues, and if opportunities do not come, they will find it difficult to escape into Buddhism and seek purity throughout their lives."
The killing monk's eyes shone brightly and his face showed approval.
This statement is almost exactly the same as what his master said.
My precious apprentice is indeed very enlightened and can pass on the mantle.
It’s just that you know that the world is troubled, so why don’t you give it up?
Before he could ask questions, Ji Yuan continued to "carry" the refining destiny and heard the emotion from the sloppy monk:
“Who doesn’t want to become an immortal or a Buddha, and be free and happy?
If given a choice, who would like to crawl around in mud?
Master, given your state of mind, among all the civil and military officials in the court, which one is not wearing the shackles of fame and fortune?
But do they do this voluntarily? I don’t think so.
There is a saying in Buddhism about the Eight Sufferings. In martial arts, one has climbed to the top and reached the rank of a great master, but even old age and illness are hard to get rid of.
Not to mention transcending life, death, and even love and separation, it is impossible to ask for.
In my opinion, it is better to grasp the present than to see through the future!”
The killing monk pondered for a moment, then nodded and said:
"To dominate the present and control the world, this is the power of the Tathagata.
Disciple, you really have outstanding intelligence. You are worthy of being my teacher’s favorite child, and you are able to decipher the secrets of this."
Ji Yuan cursed in his heart, Master, you are the one with the best chance.
He paused and said bluntly:
"If the master wants to give some advice on martial arts, Ji will be happy to do so.
But if you ask me to practice Zen or learn Buddhism, I am afraid that I have wrong intentions."
The killing monk held a broken copper bowl in his right hand and raised his left palm in front of his chest, smiling and saying:
"It's easy to give advice. The best way to cultivate feelings between master and disciple is to compete in martial arts.
My good disciple, you have gone through many difficult trainings, and you are born with strong muscles and strong strength.
Therefore, fighting with others will never lead to a disadvantage."
The skinny old monk had a pair of Dharma eyes as bright as a torch, how could he not see how deep Ji Yuan's savings and foundation were.
Even if we put aside the root of wisdom, we don’t talk about mind nature and Buddha nature.
Suffice it to say that his rare and sturdy physique in this world was enough for Huangjue Temple and Xuankong Temple to fight over him.
"But, my disciple, don't be negligent and forget yourself.
Long Qi and strong strength actually have advantages and disadvantages.
The so-called martial arts refers to moves and gong refers to cultivation.
Your skills now surpass your martial arts, and your physique is beyond your realm.
If you continue, you will be like a child holding a hammer, and you may suffer the consequences."
After the killing monk said this, he put his two fingers together and tapped lightly.
To be continued...
