030 Fenglin Volcano

In his previous life, the two favorite cartoonists in the Qin and Han dynasties were Yuhiko Inoue and Eiichiro Oda.

Oda Gigo and One Piece will not talk about it for now, just talk about the great master Inoue.

By the Qin and Han dynasties, Yuhiko Inoue created four works in total, three of which were basketball sports comics.

"Zero Second Attack" and "The Strongest Fate" are not well-known. As Yuhiko Inoue's famous work "Slam Dunk", it is actually Inoue's own growth trajectory.

From the beginning of starting with funny bad comics to the transformation to orthodox sports themes, the style of painting has gradually made great progress.

Even ordinary readers can see the difference when they look through the first and last volumes of "Slam Dunk".

If "Slam Dunk" also reveals a bit of Yuhiko Inoue's youth, then "Rangke Travel" is undoubtedly a culmination of the painting techniques and ideological realm of Yuhiko Inoue's paintings and thoughts, and is sublimated.

This is a Zen comic.

Yuhiko Inoue, who is a literary youth, added many of his own life insights and philosophical thoughts to "Rongke Xing", which increased the difficulty of reading. In terms of the plot, he even used a large amount of space to describe the content of the protagonist Miyamoto Musashi as a farmer. Therefore, this comic is nicknamed "Rongke Xing" by many fans.

However, even if there is no compromise in business for the sake of artistic quality, Inoue Yuhiko's "Ronke Travel" still creates a sales miracle of youth comics.

There is another interesting thing here.

Both Yuhiko Inoue's "Ranke Travel" and Yoshihiko Tomoya's "Hunter" have been serialized since 1998. And Yuhiko Inoue has also experienced a long period of publication, and the lengths of the two comics are actually similar.

But Yuhiko Inoue is always regarded as a diligent cartoonist, while the old thief Tomokashi is hated by countless people.

I have to say that this is the difference in character.

Putting aside the plot and character creation, let’s talk about painting. Inoue Yuhiko used a brush to paint in "Rangkexing", depicting a Japanese Warring States Period with ink style.

This is undoubtedly groundbreaking.

Anyone who has seen the Inoue Yuhiko Art Exhibition will exclaim: "This is not just a comic, but an art!"

Therefore, Qin and Han Dynasties decided to use brushes to draw comics of ink style.

As a Chinese, he knows what kind of unique charm the simple black and white colors contain. This charm is incomparable to those colorful pictures.

Of course, there are also subject limitations when drawing ink-wash comics with brushes.

The best in appearance is of course the ancient theme. You can't paint the ink style "Ghost in the Shell".

Yuhiko Inoue used ink and wash to paint swordsmen in the Warring States Period, so what should the Qin and Han Dynasties draw?

Emotionally speaking, what he wanted to draw the most was of course the Chinese hero.

A light sword, a white shirt, by the bamboo forest stream, in the mountains and ridges, wandering around the world, enjoying revenge...

However, Japanese people obviously don’t have much recognition of this subject.

With the pressure of failing the task, he now has no room for free to create.

Having "drawn" the idea of ink comics, Qin Han didn't want to paint Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro again.

After thinking for a long time without any results, Qin Han simply turned on the TV and prepared to find a funny variety show to relax his brain.

"Just like the Chinese like "Three Kingdoms", Japanese people are familiar with the Warring States Period. The Warring States Period themes are undoubtedly the most mass-based, but what are they drawing in detail?"

He almost unconsciously pressed the remote control and switched the channels all the way until NHK TV station.

At this time, CCTV in Japan was playing a historical popular science program, and through the popular drama "Wind Forest Volcano" to learn about the history of the Warring States Period.

Dahe Drama is a TV series filmed by NHK every year and is based on a specific historical era. It has an unshakable special status in the Japanese TV industry.

Every year's Dahe drama is a hot topic in society.

The protagonist of "Wind Forest Volcano" is Takeda Shingen's military advisor Kazusuke Yamamoto, who tells the rise of the Takeda family and the battle with his old enemy Kenshin Uesugi.

Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshi, a pair of good friends who love and fight each other, are like Liu Bei and Cao Cao. Few Japanese people don’t know about it. Allusions such as the Battle of Kawaakashima are also content in history textbooks. For the Qin and Han dynasties who like to ride on hot topics, this is undoubtedly a suitable choice.

What's more, the "Wind Forest Volcano" taken from "The Art of War" not only made the Chinese, the Qin and Han dynasties feel more intimate, but also very high-end.

"Very good, that's what it's decided!"

The desire to create came up, and Qin Han immediately turned off the TV and came to the studio.

Although I used a brush to draw, I used to draw comics after all, not Chinese paintings. So first of all, I had to draw a draft with pencils in the Qin and Han dynasties.

The person he chose was Kanasuke Yamamoto.

Although he is not as famous as Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin, as the military advisor of the Takeda family, the protagonist of "Wind Forest Volcano", and the iconic feature of "one-eyed", Yamamoto Kansuke is not low in recognition.

As for the specific image, Qin and Han not only referenced the popular Dahe drama, but also borrowed the portraits in the game "Nobunaga's Ambition".

The creation process was very smooth, and the only problem encountered was how to use ink brushes to express the armor.

Fortunately, in addition to "learning from" the Qin and Han dynasties, they also had strength.

Through the dark and thin gradient of black and appropriate white space, he successfully showed the texture of the armor.

He kept writing until after two o'clock in the morning, when the Qin and Han dynasties created Yamamoto Kansuke.

Only by lifting the brush and writing four magnificent characters "Fenglin Volcano" on the background of the characters will the whole work be considered complete.

Put the painting on the workbench and dry it. Qin and Han dynasties returned to the bedroom and fell asleep.

Maybe he was sleeping too much. The next day after Qin Han woke up, he found that there were five missed calls on his phone. All of them were called by Shunsuke Fujimoto.

"This vice president really likes me."

Qin Han smiled helplessly and called back.

"Qin Sang, why don't you answer the phone? I thought you died suddenly at home! Don't think I'm joking. Every year, several cartoonists who don't pay attention to their health have died suddenly. Do you know that our Tiger's Cave has specially prepared several "sold by Teacher XX"?"

"Sorry, Teng Bensang, I slept too hard and didn't hear it."

Shunsuke Fujimoto also knew that the work of a cartoonist was hard, so he didn't say much, and changed the subject: "Tell you a good news. I got the inside story in advance from the Cultural Affairs Office..."

Qin Han was a little surprised after listening to Shunsuke Fujimoto's introduction.

Work with NICONICO to organize a painting competition, the audience votes to determine the winner, and participate in the NHK documentary shooting?

When did the Japanese government, which is famous for its old-fashioned and ignorant ability, learn to keep up with the times and become so down-to-earth?
Chapter completed!
