Section 100 Altar

Bypassing the huge pine tree, a chaotic ruin appeared in front of a group of three people.

Although it is a ruin, some of the buildings standing inside are also very impactful.

For example, there were two guards holding long swords standing on both sides of the road. These guards were carved from stone, but they wore thick masks on their faces. Lance moved closer and found that these masks were actually made of gold.

"Is it real gold? I thought it was still a paint substance at first."

Old Miller also came over, sniffed, and a strange look appeared on his face.

This ruin is very large, which means that a glorious civilization must have been reproduced in this place for a while. However, after recalling the architectural style of decorating the stone statues with golden masks, the group of people had no impression of it at all.

Only Trillite said slowly: "I seem to have seen some strange records in my grandfather's notebook."

"What?"

Lance asked, stepping into the ruins.

Since we have arrived, we can only move forward bravely. And although this place is now in ruins, it should have been lived a long time ago, which means that there may be a passage to the emerald green screen nearby.

Trillite recalled: "You must know that my grandfather is a pure Drew. Although he is not satisfied with some of the practices of his own tribe, his knowledge of the Drews is far more than that of me, a mixed race. In fact, I have always grown up in the living environment of human beings. I don't know much about the civilization and history of the Drews."

"I remember my grandfather mentioned that after being exiled by the Lord of Nature, the Drews quickly wanted to find a half-plane that was closer to the Great Greenland to live. After all, they wanted to return to the Kingdom of God at any time. At the same time, they were very picky about the half-plane. They hoped to find a place with a very similar environment to the Great Greenland - later you also knew that they chose the Emerald Wonderland."

"However, I need to add that when the Drews descended into this emerald fairyland, this place was not empty. In fact, a relatively primitive civilization has been reproduced in this place. They call themselves Highlanders and have their own writing and culture. What's more magical is that in this natural forbidden magic field, Highlanders have actually studied some supernatural powers - you know. They do not have Anzura fruits as a way to improve their physical fitness like the Drews."

"It was only after the Drews fell in love with this land, they naturally had a serious conflict with the Highlanders, and the two sides began to fight. As for the result of the war, it was actually not difficult to predict: one side was the primitive tribe that had just begun to explore supernatural abilities, and the other side was from the Kingdom of God in heaven. They had a large number of rare resources and a large number of demonized objects in their hands - the battle situation was completely one-sided."

Speaking of this, Trillite said disapprovingly: "In the end, they drove the Highlanders out of the place where they originally lived. Now I don't know if this tribe has disappeared. However, judging from the current situation, this group of people is probably in danger."

Lance nodded slightly.

Trillite's judgment is not wrong.

The desolation here shows everything. Even if the highlanders still have some power in the emerald fairyland, even the place where our ancestors lived was so dilapidated, there must be no more power left.

The roads in the ruins are difficult to walk, and pieces of gravel are piled up in irregularities, and they are walking inside.

And gradually, a strange atmosphere spread in the air.

Lance squinted his eyes. Although he suddenly turned around several times, he still found nothing.

With his perception, this is a very rare thing.

"What's wrong?" Trillit asked when he saw Lance was a little strange.

Lance shook his head slightly and hesitated, "I just think the atmosphere in this place is a bit weird."

"That's true." Trillit nodded in agreement: "The architectural style here is very rough, and the Highlanders are a relatively primitive tribe after all. It's normal that no one has been here for a long time.

Lance didn't say anything, he knew that Trillit would be wrong.

In his perception, it seemed as if there were eyes peeking at them - this feeling has existed since they walked into the ruins. However, as they gradually deepened, the feeling became more and more obvious.

At this moment, Old Miller suddenly bent down, turned a stone slab over, then stood up and clapped his hands: "There are a lot of burning marks, and someone should have fired here."

"It may have been done by the Highlanders themselves," Lance said uncertainly. "In the retreat—if they still survive—they don't want some useful things they have to be acquired by the enemy, so they burned the gathering place with fire."

"I mean, this is not an ordinary gathering place."

Old Miller's face became very serious: "Have you ever seen ordinary gathering places have so many good stones? Compared with the civilization level of the Highlanders, if an ordinary gathering place has such a level of construction and material use, then their civilization should have developed to a very exaggerated level."

Lance and Trillite were both slightly stunned. They both looked at all with the eyes of Clilanders, so naturally they would not think how good the stones here were. But the golden mask was really strange.

Old Miller was still careful and kicked away the stone slab just now.

Behind the stone slab is a burnt pattern.

"Look, there is a woman on it. She looks like she is dancing... Damn it, I can't see the rest of the place clearly. It seems that there are a few people next to me, maybe men or women. In short, this is very unusual." Old Miller said lightly: "In some primitive tribes, dancing is an important ritual for communicating with gods."

"Do you think they're having some ceremonies?" Trillit asked with a frown.

Old Miller nodded and said, "If I guess correctly, the place we are now is the altar of the Highlanders! Of course, it was once."

The other two looked at each other, feeling a little disbelief.

However, Lance also felt that Old Miller's inference was highly credible.

The atmosphere in this place is so strange. It is obviously a ruin, but these stones feel like they are going to live at any time. It may really be not an ordinary gathering place.

"Let's walk forward and see if we can find other slabs."

Lance bent down and picked up the slab.

He wiped the dust on it, but still couldn't see the whole pattern clearly.

But what surprised him was that he suddenly felt a little familiar with the woman in the picture.

"How is this possible?" Lance shook his head, as if he wanted to throw this strange idea out of his mind.

The group of three continued to move forward, and outside the quiet ruins, a huge shadow was slowly descending.

...

"Miss Vivi, you have no way to escape."

On the empty woodland, six Drew hunters surrounded the girl tightly.

However, they were not in a hurry to kill her. Another young man who was in trouble was dead, and she was the only one left, so it would save more effort to deal with it.

The girl's chest was splashed with a large pool of blood, and her originally snow-white robe was shockingly dyed.

Her skin was almost ivory, but the eyes were the black eyes that Cliland had rarely seen. She was half kneeling on the ground, her long hair was scattered in chaos, looking extremely depressed.

"We just want to know the secrets of the Well of Nature. If you don't make things difficult for us, we won't kill your companions."

The leader of the hunter said proudly: "You must know that as the pride of the Drews, we hunters always have some special means. I personally recommend that you not try these strange punishments. After all, the last time I did this to a human wizard, he went crazy in the third level."

"Pooh!"

Although Vivi half-kneeled on the ground, her waist was still straight.

"You can kill me, not like this mother-in-law."

The girl's eyes were filled with anger: "Anyway, aren't your other teams going to find my tribe members?"

The hunter leader said coldly: "Of course, we can finally get the secret of the Well of Nature from your tribesmen. But if you told me, our team will get a higher evaluation from the leader."

"So don't hold on to the lucky mentality of me not daring to kill you."

Weiwei raised her head and showed a hint of sarcasm: "You are honest."

The Hunter Leader said: "This is a straightforward thing. If you want, I can let you go now."

Who knew that the girl suddenly laughed and said, "Maybe you made something wrong."

"Do you think the secret of the Well of Nature is something that every Highlander can master?"

"Since you are so honest, I might as well be honest. Among us Highlanders, only the priestess and the descendants of the priestess can learn the secrets about the Well of Nature. Ordinary tribesmen know nothing about them!"

The Hunter Leader's face changed slightly, but he still said coldly: "Thank you very much for your reminder, but I remember you are not the priestess of the Highlanders yet. We will get everything we should know from your teacher."

“It wasn’t before.”

Vivi's tone suddenly became extremely sad.

She took down the string of never-withered petals on her neck and put them in her palm. She saw one of the pure white petals withering at a speed visible to the naked eye.

“It’s now.”

She said with pain on her face.

The hunter leader showed a hint of uneasiness, and they also had a little understanding of the Highlanders' magic. A flower represents a person's life. If the pure white petal really represents the Highlanders' priestess, it means that the girl in front of them may be the only person in the world who understands the secrets of the Well of Nature.
