Section 24 The Apprentice of Rainbow Island

In the dense forest, several figures quickly traveled through.

"Cousin, are you sure Hicks won't pursue us to enter his territory?" A low voice suddenly rang.

The man in the lead is tall and looks about thirty years old. He has a steady expression and steady pace.

He was wearing a clean white robe and a light blue badge on his chest.

Hearing the person behind him, the man stopped and said disapprovingly: "What are you afraid of? Even if you are discovered by the tree worshiper, you will drive us out of his territory at most. Our Rainbow Island and their Tree worshiper's Cabin are still in united state, and their Tree worshiper will not attack us easily."

The man behind him said with some fear: "But I heard that Hicks is different from ordinary tree worshipers. Otherwise, the headquarters of the Tree worshiper's cottage would not have sent him to be the leader here."

Before the leader could speak, the woman in colorful clothes standing beside them said coldly: "Brad, you are too brave. Before we come, we have made sufficient preparations, and I have received the exact news. Hicks cannot appear in this forest at this time."

"Yes," the leader said, "Lavlin is right. According to the news we have received, Hicks must accompany a 100-earth python in a cave in the north to successfully shed his skin, and it usually does not appear."

Brad nodded and said nothing.

The three of them continued to move forward, and after a while, they stopped.

"Danny, what's wrong?" asked Raflin, a woman in color.

The leading man, Danny, slowly shook his head and signaled the two to step forward.

The two of them walked forward a few steps and suddenly saw several short figures appearing in the dense forest ahead.

"Petrified jackal! Isn't this the goal of our trip?" The timid Brand smiled in surprise. Who knew that as soon as he said it, Danny covered his mouth.

The three of them retreated for a while before Danny scolded, "Be quiet, there are a large group of petrified jackals in front of us, we have to deal with it carefully."

"But our luck seems to be really good. We took over the task of acquiring Petrochemical Heart that Lord Regis just released first. Although it will be re-released every three days, three days is enough for us to complete this task."

Danny also showed a look of joy on his face.

"This time we spend magic stones to open the Fairy Bridge to the outer realm of Ferrendor. We must successfully complete the task so that we can earn a great deal of magic stones." A greedy look flashed in Danny's eyes: "I heard that Lord Regis can also exchange magic tide potion for magic. I have been staying in the elementary apprentice for too long. This is an opportunity."

"Don't be too happy too early." Raflin said coldly: "There are reasons why these petrified jackals gather here."

"It seems like there is a battle ahead, I guess someone is."

Danny and Brad looked at each other, and finally the former spoke, "Lavlin said very likely. We need to look at the situation before."

This time, Brad stood up very consciously. He recited a few spells quietly, and after a while, a vivid eye suddenly appeared in his palm.

The eye blinked, and suddenly a pair of wings grew on its back, rising in the wind, and flew forward.

"Be careful," Danny reminded.

Brad nodded in an understanding way. He hesitated for a moment and added a few more spells. The small eye immediately entered an invisible state.

Half a minute later, the eye flew above the petrified jackal pack and quietly observed the situation.

On the other side, Brand took out a crystal ball from his arms.

A white mist rose from the transparent crystal ball, and soon, the mist dissipated and many scenes appeared in the crystal ball.

"This is……"

"These petrified jackals seem to be surrounding the big tree."

"Huh? Beat the Man Grass? Isn't this a magical item unique to our Rainbow Island?"

"Wait, there are people in the tree!" Danny said, "Brad, turn your vision up."

"Okay, cousin." Brad did as he did.

With a slight lift of his eyes, a man holding a bow and arrow immediately appeared in the crystal ball. The other party was wearing a simple robe, and he couldn't tell what it was.

"Did this guy accidentally be surrounded by petrified jackals?" Brand murmured in a low voice.

"The short bow he held in his hand has no trace of demonized items, it should be an ordinary thing." Lavlin said coldly: "Does he want to use an ordinary short bow to deal with these petrified jackals? It's simply seeking death."

Danny nodded in agreement: "This kid is just a bad guy."

Brad said timidly: "Cousin Danny, Sister Lauflin, should we save him..."

Before he finished speaking, he ate a chestnut on his head. Danny said with a heartbreaking regret: "What to save? Take risks for a stranger. Your brain is sick! Have you been on the island for a long time and your thinking has solidified. When you see someone, you think it's our own people."

Brad said weakly: "There is a beating grass under that tree, it should be our own people..."

Danny was speechless and immediately shouted: "Even if he is from Rainbow Island, there is no need for us to take action, do we understand?"

Laurim looked at Brad and whispered: "I really don't know how you lived to this day. Brad Ferrondor is not a peaceful place. I agree with Danny's point of view. Even if I am the one of Rainbow Island, I will not take the initiative to take action without the conditions that will make me moved."

Brad lowered his head a little sadly.

The atmosphere suddenly solidified.

Danny looked at the change in the scene in the crystal ball and hesitated for a while: "There are at least seventeen or eighteen petrified jackals gathered here, which means that this kid has brought almost all the petrified jackals around here. Let's take a look at the situation first and wait until the wolves disperse before taking action."

The three of them are all low-level apprentices on Rainbow Island, and their magic power floats around 60 o'clock. The three of them join forces and have to be very careful when facing the pack of wolves.

In their opinion, Lance standing on the tree is dead.

Lauflin also agreed: "Let's get closer and wait and see what's going on."

...

"What should I do? Lance, it's over now. You've attracted almost all the petrified jackals." Ekins flapped his wings anxiously, looked at the shadows in the grass all around him, and said so. He didn't care. No matter how terrifying the petrified jackals were, they would definitely have no choice but to do anything to him.

What he was worried about was Lance.

Lance said calmly: "All the ordinary petrified jackals here?"

The Woodpecker said affirmatively: "I have confirmed that there are 19 petrified jackals in total, all of which are ordinary. These petrified jackals are almost all members of the tribe here. Their leader was injured by Lord Hicks a month ago and could not move freely for less than half a year, so you don't have to worry about meeting the leader of petrified jackals for the time being."

"In other words, I can complete the task by killing these ordinary petrified jackals?" Lance asked.

Ekins nodded.

"Then let's start!" Lance did not hesitate at all. Facing the wolf pack that seemed to be still hesitating and hesitating, he actually took the initiative to attack!

...

"This kid is looking for death!"

Looking at the scene in the crystal ball, Danny commented. "There are too many wolves. If only half of them are, he may still have a certain possibility of survival."

"Did he think his bow and arrow can hurt a petrified jackal with rocky skin?"

Lauflin was silent, but a look of surprise suddenly flashed in the girl's eyes.

Lance in the crystal ball uses a bow to shoot arrows, and his movements are extremely smooth!

"Cut it!" Danny ordered.

Brad hurriedly cut the picture over.

"I bet on a magic stone, this kid will definitely not harm even a petrified jackal." Danny said gloatingly.

The picture in the crystal ball changes a little.

At this moment, Raflin suddenly said, "I'll bet with you!"

"Ah?" Danny was a little confused. He didn't understand what Raflin meant.

At this time, Brad finally adjusted and enlarged the picture, enough to cover the entire battle scene.

The three of them looked closely and saw that in the grass that Lance aimed at, a small head was exposed outside, and the petrified jackal's forelimbs were limp on the ground, as if they were about to exert force.

What surprised them was that a long arrow feather was inserted into the eye socket of the petrified jackal, and half of the arrow was inserted into it, almost piercing its skull!

"A magic stone." Laflin spread his hands expressionlessly.

Danny widened his eyes: "This is impossible!"

At this moment, he wanted to slap himself!

Why are you so mean? Why!!!?

A magic stone is not a minor meaning. For these primary apprentices, magic stones are very difficult to earn.

But what made Danny even more curious was how that kid did it?

Raflin's eyes were full of glory: "Maybe we guessed wrong from the beginning."

"This person was not surrounded by petrified jackals by chance. In fact, these petrified jackals were all attracted by him!"

"I guess, the task we quickly followed this morning should have been seen by others. Although they did not receive the task, they could complete the task first and go directly to Master Regis to get the benefits."

"Damn it, it turns out to be a competitor!" Danny suddenly woke up.

But the three of them still had a slight doubt in their hearts - does this guy look so magical, really have the ability to fight the entire petrified wolf pack one-on-one?

His shooting skills are very accurate, but he can't resist enough enemies!

Soon, Lance gave the answer.

Just after he shot and killed the petrified jackal that was ambushing in the grass, all the jackals were angry. They rushed over fiercely. Even though Lance had excellent shooting skills, after shooting and killing the other two monsters, the remaining monsters had gathered under his feet!
