The second sister

Seeing Lance showing seriousness, Viscount Ryan couldn't bear to sigh.

He looked at his second son with some disappointment, and finally slowly said with his father's unique sternness: "I'm going to send you to church, what do you think?"

Although the words seemed to be asking for advice from his son, those who know the Viscount's behavior knew that once he said this, it meant that a decision had been made in his heart. No one could disobey his will—at least not in Viscount's territory.

What's more, the object of speaking is the second young master of Viscount. Lance, who has been known for his cowardice and introvert since childhood, is synonymous with cowardice and introvert in everyone's eyes. Viscount naturally knows better how much his son is. In his expectation, Lance must have nodded in agreement.

"This child is completely different from his mother and has no opinion." Viscount thought to himself.

Who knew that this time, Lance actually showed a meditative look. This surprised the Viscount, and what was even more surprising was that he actually heard Lance say:

"No, my father, I don't want to go to church."

Viscount Ryan looked at his son incredibly, and forgot his anger for a moment. He asked thoughtfully, "Oh? Why?"

Lance calmly replied: "I hate charlatans."

Viscount Ryan didn't know what to say. Today, his son's performance surprised him. He thought for a long time and actually hummed: "I hate charlatans too."

The father and son looked at each other silently, and a wonderful feeling spread in their hearts.

"But you have to go to church." After a while, Lord Viscount's tone became slightly stern: "You must know that other professions are not suitable for you."

"No, I'm going to continue learning magic with Teacher Amman," Lance said.

Viscount frowned: "Lance, although everyone in the entire territory knows that you are my favorite son, I have restrictions on your investment. Do you know? The cost of studying with Amman in the past six months is almost one-third of the tax in the territory! Your brother, as the heir of the lord, has not enjoyed this kind of treatment. It would be fine if you have the talent to learn magic, after all, I promised your mother to take good care of you... But you have no magical talent, so I don't think it's a wise choice to let you continue to learn magic."

Viscount Ryan stared at Lance, and if he could not give a reason to satisfy Viscount, there would be no room for negotiation tonight.

Lance pondered for a while, then said, "Sir, what if I could write that magic rune?"

Ryan said decisively: "Then I will consider letting Amman continue to be your teacher."

Lance nodded: "Okay, I will write that rune tomorrow night."

Ryan looked at Lance with a little strangeness. To him, his son seemed to have become another person: "Are you sure? You fainted tonight and didn't even write it down."

"I'm sure I just need another chance," Lance explained. "Tonight, I'm a little nervous. Trust me, Mr. Father."

Viscount Ryan was silent for a moment, and then said, "I will give you a last chance after dinner tomorrow night, in front of everyone."

Lance said gratefully: "Thank you father!"

Viscount waved his hand, and a trace of warmth flashed in his eyes: "Go back to the room early to go to bed, have a good rest, and save your energy."

Lance nodded respectfully.

...

Lord Viscount shouted, and then a maid took Lance back to her room to rest.

Lance said goodbye to the Viscount as he did the etiquette of this world in his memory, and followed the slender maid in the dark castle.

The maid held a candle in her hand. The darkness and depth of the castle far exceeded Lance's expectations. The two walked for five minutes before they arrived at the second floor of the castle where Lance's room was.

This is a two-story building of the castle, and only people with a certain status in the castle can live in it. At present, in addition to Lance, his three sisters live nearby. As for his brother, he moved to the Red River Post in the north of the territory to guard the land early in order to show his ability to do so, and rarely returns to the castle.

With the help of the fox, although in just five minutes, Lance almost mastered some of the more important memories of the original owner. The main chip of the fox is mainly divided into three parts: one is that it can use Lance's body various systems and many sub-chips to collect and store data, the second is that it has a certain computing power, and the third is to analyze it based on calculations and data. The data stored in the chip can be called out at any time, which is very convenient.

"According to the situation in my memory, although the maid in front of me is my father's personal maid, she has always been very polite to me. Today, she looks cold and doesn't take me, the second young master seriously. Perhaps it was the incident that happened tonight that made her feel that she had completely lost her father's favor." Lance looked at the maid's cold face and said in his heart.

In fact, this is true. As early as half a year ago, everyone in the castle knew that Lance learned spells with the Amman wizard. It was the last investment of Viscount in him. No one hates this second young master on weekdays, he was just a little timid. According to the news from his personal maid before, the second young master reads some strange and absurd books in the study all day long, and is relatively thin, so in this world where the strong prey on the weak, he is naturally easily looked down upon.

In the past, Lord Viscount was always covering Lance, and no one dared to underestimate the second young master. At least no one dared to do so in front of Viscount.

But now it's different. Lance's performance disappointed the Viscount. He has basically been abandoned by the entire castle. At this point, even a maid in the castle didn't feel that her attitude would be cold. After all, she could hear clearly outside the study before that Young Master Lance was going to be exiled to the monk camp.

"When I arrived at that kind of place, I heard that the first thing I had to do was to be brainwashed. After the brainwashing, I didn't know anything, but I only knew how to serve the gods." The maid silently thought to herself: "Young Master Lance's life is basically destined."

Thinking of this, she seemed to have no interest in pretending to be respectful. The two walked to a corner, and it was pitch black in front of her, and the maid suddenly stopped.

"Mr. Lance, I'll send it here." The maid Aili said ignorantly, regardless of the darkness ahead, and it was still a distance from Lance's room.

Lance frowned, he didn't know where his room was.

He stood in the dark without saying anything.

The maid actually snorted and walked away with the candle twisting her butt.

Lance forced himself to suppress the anger in his heart. He took a deep breath and turned around and walked into the darkness.

"Luna, right? A maid, even her father's personal maid, dares to be so rude to her master?!" Although Lance was angry, he knew that now was not a good time to attack.

But he had already remembered this name.

...

"Which door is my room?" Lance stood in the middle of the corridor and scratched his head. The fox searched the original owner's memory and found that the information on this aspect was actually blank.

It seems that only part of the original owner's memory has been left behind, which allows Lance to know that most of these memories are profound and relatively important. However, those details are difficult to find.

At least two candles were placed on the lamp holder in the corridor. They looked new and hung recently. There were five rooms on both sides, but Lance didn't know which room he had.

Do you have to try it one by one?

Lance was a little distressed. He subconsciously approached a door and heard the girl's laughter coming from inside.

He felt a little calm in his heart. The girl inside should be his sister, and at least he could be sure that this room was not his room.

So he was about to turn around and leave, and at this time, the door was suddenly opened.

"I'll go and see if that fool Lance is back..." A crisp female voice opened the door as she said.

Embarrassingly, Lance happened to be standing in front of her.

Lance was naturally in a very bad mood when he was scolded by someone behind his back as a fool. However, he did not immediately have an attack, but squinted his eyes and looked up and down the girl in front of him and the people in the room.

The girl standing at the door of the room was wearing a loose emerald green nightgown, with very little fabric on her chest, and could only barely cover up a few beautiful scenery. She was tall, just as tall as the sixteen-year-old Lance.

"Boba in the green nightgown is Bichi, the eldest lady's daughter, and my brother is from the same mother; the two girls in the room are Sabina, the second lady's daughter, and the other is Eileen, the adopted daughter of Viscount." Lance quickly recognized the people in the room. Except for Irene, the other girls are Viscount's daughter, his half-sister.

Lance's mother was the third wife of Viscount. She only had one child in her life. She died for some reason as early as when Lance was five years old. If it weren't for the Viscount's strength over the years, Lance would have died long ago under the calculations of some people.

When Bich saw Lance standing at the door, he didn't blush at all. He smiled and said hello, "Hey, Lance, I heard you are about to go to the ascetic camp. Could it be that you came to say goodbye to us tonight?"
