Chapter 94 Rick

On the evening of January 6, when Evan returned to the dormitory, he found that the person who had been empty single dormitory No. 112 opposite had already lived in.

It was already past ten o'clock, and the door of Room 112 was opened. While Evan opened the door, he looked inside curiously. The room was clear and there was no one there.

Just when Evan was curious, a young man wearing a gray suit, with a leap-partitioned head, over 1.8 meters tall, holding a small kettle in his hand, walked to the door of Room 112.

The door of Room 111 was already opened, and Evan held the door handle in his hand, keeping his head back and looking at the young man.

The young man probably wanted to go back to his room, but when he saw Evan, he changed his mind. He smiled softly, changed the kettle, reached out to Evan's right hand, and said, "Hey, my name is Rick, Rick Taft, I just became a 'Moles' today."

Evan turned around, reached out his hand, and introduced himself: "My name is Evan, Evan Warren."

“Welcome to BlackerHouse.”

Rick said: "I'm studying mathematics, where are you?"

Evan replied: "Physics."

"It turns out that they are from the same department. I'm really lucky. Do you want to come in and chat?" Rick raised the kettle, pointed to his room, and said, "I just wanted to make a cup of hot tea."

Evan waved his hand and said, "Forget it, I'll be unable to sleep at night when I have tea."

"That's it...then let it go!"

Just when Evan thought the other party would end the conversation and went back to his room, Rick said, "Can I visit your room? To be honest, I'm a little curious!"

Evan looked at him strangely and asked, "It's all dormitories. Even if there is a difference, it's not much. What's there to be curious about? However, you haven't visited when you tried it?"

Rick was stunned for a moment when he heard this, and then smiled and said, "Evan, I forgot to tell you that I am a transfer student. I just transferred from Yale University, in my third grade."

Evan suddenly realized, no wonder he had never seen this Rick before.

Since he was a transfer student, Evan couldn't refuse any more, so he turned around and pushed the door, fully showing the appearance of his room, and said: "As you can see, Rick, except for the scenery outside the window, the rest is basically the same as your room."

Rick glanced quickly and said, "It's really disappointing. I thought it would be different? Since that's the case, I won't go in."

"Evan, I'm very happy to know you. We will become friends in the future. Seeing that you seem to want to rest, I won't bother you anymore. See you tomorrow!"

Evan nodded at Rick and replied, "So too, Rick."

After saying that, after waved his hand, Evan walked into the dormitory.

Before Evan closed, Rick said: "Evan, I bet you said something that just now is insincere!"

Evan closed the door without saying a word.

After lying on the bed, Evan muttered: "Transfer from Yale University to Caltech, one on the East Coast and the other on the West Coast. I don't know what this Rick thinks?"

"Taft... I think I've heard of this surname somewhere?"

"…Well… it's not that coincidental, right?"

...

The next day, just after six o'clock, Evan, who had developed the habit, opened his eyes on time.

Overcoming the temptation of the warm bed, Evan jumped out of bed, put on his clothes, took his towels and toiletries, and prepared to go to the public water room.

When the door was opened, the cold air outside poured into the house, and Evan instantly stood up with a cold hair on his body.

Evan took a step outside and closed the door.

At this moment, the door to Room 112 was also opened.

Rick also looked like he was about to wash up.

By chance, both of them were stunned for a moment.

Rick reacted first, smiled and greeted: "Good morning, Evan!"

Feeling the cold outside, Rick's body shivered involuntarily. He said: "I thought the West Coast would be warmer, but I didn't expect it to be as cold as New Haven (note: the location of Yale University)."

"Good morning, Rick!" Evan responded, "It's really a little colder this year."

The two naturally walked together.

On the way, Rick asked, "I forgot to ask yesterday, what grade are you in Evan?"

Evan replied: "First grade."

"Freshman...why live in a single room?"

Rick asked casually, in order to make friends, people usually choose multi-person rooms first.

Unless there is something special about this person.

Evan casually replied, "I like quiet!"

Rick kept silent and stopped talking.

After washing up, breakfast is available.

While having a meal in a public restaurant, Evan and Werner shared the same table, and a long-lost face suddenly appeared in front of Evan.

It was Edward Rogers, who went to the University of California for a semester of exchange.

"Hi, Evan, long time no see."

Rogers' face was filled with a bright smile.

Seeing Rogers, Evan was immediately reminiscent of some bad memory. He put down the hot dog in his hand, looked at Rogers, and replied with a smile: "Rogers, long time no see... well... it looks a lot stronger..."

"Bang!" As he said, Evan punched Rogers in the stomach. The force was not heavy, but it was not light either.

Rogers covered his stomach and frowned and complained, "Evan, even if I welcome me, I don't have to be enthusiastic about fists."

He thought Evan was welcomed in a special way, but he didn't know that Evan was just venting his anger.

Rogers rubbed his stomach and sat down next to Evan. He had eaten it before he came to talk about the old ones when he met Evan.

Warner finished eating first, and he saw that Rogers seemed to have something to talk to Evan alone, so he left first.

Then Rogers asked what he really cared about: "Evan, where has Band-Aid been progressing?"

"It's still applying for FDA approval," Evan said.

Rogers looked around and whispered: "Someone asked me for information about Band-Aid...I didn't say it!"

After pausing, he asked, "Is anyone planning to make it?"

Evan nodded, drank the milk in one breath, and said, "It should be Johnson and Johnson's."

Rogers opened his mouth in surprise.

Evan glanced at Rogers and said, "This matter has nothing to do with you. You just need to fulfill your confidentiality obligation."

He packed up the end of his life and was about to get up and leave, "By the way, Rogers, if you still want to go to ACAH internship, just tell me."

Evan and Rick seemed to be very destined to be together, and on the way to class, they met again.

This time Rick just smiled at Evan and didn't come up to talk to him.

In the next few days, as the number of encounters increased, Rick quickly became familiar with Evan.

About a week later, Rick invited Evan to his dormitory to enjoy black tea.

This time, Evan agreed.

When Evan walked into Room 112, Rick immediately closed the door. Evan watched Rick take out two transparent high-legged "cups" like a thief, poured red alcoholic drinks in, and showed a laughing and crying expression on his face.

Rick picked up one and handed the other to Evan.

"when!"

Rick and Evan clashed and laughed, "Do you know why I came to Los Angeles from New Haven, just to drink but no one can care."

"My family has kept me in this regard, and there is no meaning at all."
