Chapter 76 Just an accident

Evan was curious about the dean, not because he knew how well he knew about Mr. Dubridge, but because he knew that he could take over the position from a dean who had been in the dean for more than twenty years, definitely not an ordinary person.

You should know that the greater the ex, the harder it is to be to be a later one.

At seven o'clock in the evening, Evan came to the dean's office as promised.

The office is located in the Gates and Claylin Chemistry Laboratory building, Evan saw a big nose yard with gray suit, 28-minute hair, and black and white.

"Good evening, dear Dean Dubridge." Evan greeted him with his own initiative.

Dubridge looked at Evan, shook hands with Evan, and said, "Please sit down, Evan, you are here on time."

“I like young people who are on time.”

In front of the dean, Evan was calm and polite.

After Evan sat down, Dubridge said, "Evan, I am well aware of you."

"Not mentioning your identity, just your age and the achievements you have achieved at this age are enough to make many people who claim to be genius ashamed."

Faced with such praise, Evan naturally said modestly: "Sir, you have been too much, just a little cleverness, not worth mentioning."

Dubridge nodded and said, "You can still be so humble under the hat. Evan, I have to say, I admire you more and more."

"Mr. Dubridge, I'm glad to be your favorite." Evan smiled and suddenly changed his tone: "So, can you say the next 'but'?"

Dubridge was stunned at first, then laughed and said, "Okay, it seems that Evan, do you know the way of talking like this?"

"Then, I'll just say, 'But'..."

"But, can you explain, about the rumored 'comrade' and the accident of Harry Lyon last night?"

Evan said frankly: "Mr. Dubridge, first of all, I want to solemnly declare to you that I am not homosexual. All the statements about this are slander and are made out of nothing. You can know this after you don't need much rigorous investigation."

"In fact, I already have someone who hopes to spend the rest of my life with me. Therefore, I ask the school to clarify the matter. I don't want this to reach her ears one day and I will never let me go to bed again."

Although I haven't gone to bed yet.

Dubridge smiled and nodded slightly when he heard Evan's words.

"As for Harry Lyon's accident, I admit that I was there, but his accident had nothing to do with me."

Dubridge questioned: "But I heard that there was an unpleasant past between you two."

"I admit this!" Evan nodded and said, "And the unhappiness has not passed yet...but this does not mean that I need to take any responsibility for his carelessness, does it?"

"You know, Harry Lyon had just returned from the bar and was full of alcohol. He was so confused that he would hold the corridor columns like a beauty when walking, so he would step on the banana peel, which was not surprising at all."

"But where did the banana peels on site come from?" Dubridge asked curiously.

Evan spread his hands and said with a thick face: "I don't know this. I can only blame some people for not being qualified and actually littering everywhere!"

Evan lied to his face, not worried that Orville, who knew about it, would betray him.

As for Harry Lyon, he is the party involved and is opposite to Evan, so he doesn't have much credibility.

"Since that's the case, Evan, thank you very much for coming here!" After learning this, Dubridge knew that he couldn't ask anything after asking, so he got up and shook hands with Evan, and said, "This matter has ended, you can go back!"

Evan held the dean's hand and asked, "How do the school plan to clarify the matter about me being slandered?"

Dubridge smiled, twitched his hand, and said, "How simple, wouldn't it be enough to bring that one to school?"

...

After coming out of the principal's office, Evan looked a little unhappy.

Judging from Dubridge's attitude, the school will not treat itself and Harry as if nothing had happened.

On the way back to BlackerHouse, Evan kept thinking about how to regain his image. After thinking about it, he found that Dubridge's proposal was indeed good.

It's just a bit of shame.

When he returned to room 111, Evan saw William waiting for him at the door.

Evan glanced at William speechlessly. He still couldn't figure out whether William was Gay or whether he was in the same group as Harry.

At this time, William did not have a smile on his face, but looked at Evan with a little apology and asked, "Can you talk?"

Evan thought for a while, took out the key and opened the door, and said, "Come in!"

William was immediately delighted.

Evan pulled out two chairs, one sitting by himself, and the other pushed towards William.

"sit down!"

"Say anything you want to say!"

Evan said expressionlessly.

William did not sit down immediately, but solemnly bowed to Evan and said, "Sorry, Evan, it was my inappropriate behavior that caused you."

"Please forgive me, I didn't mean it. I'm not Gay either. I just..."

"Just what?"

Evan asked.

William opened his mouth, hesitated for a moment before saying, "I just want to get close to you and have a good relationship with you."

"Get close to me? Why? Can I help with my homework?"

Instead of explaining it in words, William took out two things, a magazine called "Mathematics Bulletin" and a Rubik's Cube.

Seeing these two things, Evan probably understood halfway.

Both of these things are related to Evan.

There is an article in the Mathematics Bulletin that is signed by Evan Warren.

As for the Rubik's Cube... Evan is a little strange. Can you confirm that the Rubik's Cube was invented by himself from the article?

Perhaps seeing the doubt in Evan's eyes, William further added: "You are the owner of magic7 and Mr. Earl Warren's son... I only learned about it after hearing the conversation between you and Rogers - the day of registration!"

"I like mathematics very much. I have a subscription to Mathematics Bulletin, so before that, I knew the name Evan Warren, so on the day of registration, when I heard this name from Rogers, I subconsciously followed you and…"

After hearing William's words, Evan couldn't help laughing and crying. It turned out that the culprit was Edward Rogers!

When he came back from UCB (University of California, Berkeley) exchange, I had to hang him up and beat him up!

After Rogers was sentenced to death, Evan asked William to sit down.

He sighed and said, "So, you behave so abnormally, just to curry favor with me?"

"You must have the cleverness of your head when you can get into Caltech from Hawaii. Do you think it is better to curry favor with others than the success you have brought by your own real efforts?"

William shook his head.

"Since you know, then why..."

William said: "But it's easier, isn't it?"

"Evan, you have to know that in order to go to California Polytechnic, I was carrying a huge loan. When I thought about being urged to repay the loan as soon as I graduated, I couldn't help but feel anxious, I..."

"Evan, I hope you understand..."

"Ah..." Evan sighed again when he heard this. He was utilitarian and eager to achieve success, so he acted inappropriately?

It's really... I lost my big one because of a small one!

In fact, as long as William approaches Evan normally, his goal can be achieved, but unfortunately...
