Chapter 31 Evan's Preaching

As soon as he walked out of the hall, Evan's expression returned to normal. A waiter wanted to come up and ask if he needed help, but Evan waved his hand and scolded him.

Since they were pretending, the two of them naturally did not walk towards WC, but walked towards the side of the elevator.

I took the elevator to the first floor, stood in the hall and looked out, and saw that there were still many reporters outside bravely holding on to the cold wind.

"Go here!"

Carl stretched out his hand and signaled Evan to follow him.

Evan nodded and walked towards another exit.

As he walked, Evan suddenly took something out of his pocket.

That's a key.

Evan looked at it and suddenly threw it gently, caught it, threw it up again, caught it again. He had a lot of fun while walking.

Looking at Evan's childish side, Carl remained silent on the surface, but felt relieved.

Evan's performance recently made Carl feel very stressed. Now Carl has finally confirmed that Evan is a genius, but no matter how talented he is, he still does not exceed human scope.

If you are a person, you can continue walking with each other.

God cannot do it!

God is high above, and only mortals are allowed to look up to him. God is the only one who can stand shoulder to shoulder with him.

There were few pedestrians leading to the side door, and the surroundings were very quiet. Evan could clearly hear the footsteps of himself and Carl.

Suddenly, Evan heard the third footstep. Then he heard someone calling his name behind him.

"Evan!"

Evan stopped and turned backwards. He saw the person who made the sound.

It's Linda!

Linda carried a red dress and high heels, walking towards Evan step by step. Her gem-like bright eyes stared at Evan and asked, "WC... It seems that she is not there, Evan, where are you going?"

Evan did not answer, but looked at Carl. Carl understood and said in Evan's ear: "The car is in the second row of the parking lot."

After saying that, Carl pushed the door open and left.

The moment Carl went out, the cold wind poured in from outside, and Evan saw Linda being blown to death.

"Linda, go back. I have something to do and I have to go out." Evan explained.

"I'm sorry for cheating you guys!"

Linda pursed her lips and asked, "You want to leave early? At your father's party? Evan, do you know what you're doing?"

Evan nodded and said, "I know very clearly! Linda, my father and the others are no longer in the venue. They are discussing major events in a conference room in this building. No one in the venue will focus on me..."

"So you're going to go on a date?" Linda snatched white: "Are you going to drive by yourself?"

"Evan, you know you are the governor's son, and you also know that California does not allow people under the age of sixteen to drive on the road, right?"

Evan sighed, instead of answering Linda's question positively, he asked, "Do you know everything?"

Linda seemed to realize that the volume of her voice was a little loud. After calming down her emotions a little, she nodded and replied: "Yes, I know from Virginia. Her name is Audrey, right?"

Evan nodded, not surprised Virginia revealed to Linda everything about Audrey. It would be better to say that he hoped that way.

The two fell into speechless silence.

After a while, Linda broke the calm and controlled the volume and asked, "Why is it her?"

Evan said: "No reason! Linda, I have to find a reason, I can only say that this is fate!"

Only fate can give me the opportunity to appear in front of Audrey across time and space.

"Fate? Is this fate?" Linda repeated, and suddenly sneered: "Ha... I want to talk about fate, it is obviously I'm the one who comes first!"

She lowered her head, quickly touched her right hand on the corner of her eyes, then raised her head again, looked at Evan with a smile and said, "Evan, I like you, do you know?"

"Yes..." Evan replied truthfully, "I'm sorry!"

"Then why not me?"

"I'm by your side when you're lost in Yosemite!"

"When you boast that Haikou wants to make a radio by hand to participate in school competitions, I am the one who accompanied you to find parts!"

"Before this, when I was alone because of my sharpness, it was you who stood by me; you who really took action behind my works that won the School Innovation Award."

"So...why not me?"

Linda recalled every bit of the past and her mood became increasingly depressed.

Evan didn't know what to answer for a moment, and after a while of silence, he said, "Linda, this is not like something you can say!"

"Hmm?" Linda blinked, looking confused.

Evan continued: "In my impression, you are a strong and independent girl, just like you are wearing now, like a thorny rose, proud and inviolable."

"However, listen to what you said..." Evan said in a very disappointed look, "You like me, is it because you can't stand alone without me?"

"If this is the case, then I shouldn't accept you."

"Because acceptance is the mistake. If I do what you want, then you will never be able to live without my shadow from now on. This is not what I want to see."

"Is that true?" Linda was confused.

Seeing that what he said seemed to be effective, Evan hit the railway while it was hot: "Of course, Linda, think about it carefully, is your feelings for me really love?"

"No! No..." Evan asked and answered: "In my opinion, it's just that you are escaping and looking for someone to rely on."

"Escape from loneliness and relying on others is the 'lifebuoy' you found to integrate into the group when you were excluded by your peers when you were a child."

"Now, you're grown up, the 'lifebuoy' is no longer a protection, but a limitation, a burden."

"So, Linda, it's time to throw away the 'lifebuoy' and free yourself again!"

"I believe you can do it, Linda!"

Before he knew it, Evan walked to Linda and reached out and pressed her hand on her shoulder, as if this action could give her support.

"Really?" Evan's words seemed to have some magic, which made Linda involuntarily begin to doubt herself. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that what Evan said made sense. When she thought of her, she had been relying on others, and even hoping to rely on it forever, she couldn't help but sweat on her forehead.

Fortunately, Evan woke me up!

Linda, who thought she was awake, raised her head slightly and looked up at Evan in front of her, her eyes full of gratitude and apology: "You are right, Evan!"

"I'm sorry for causing trouble for you!"

"I hope my self-righteousness has not affected you."

"We are still friends, are we?"

"Of course!" Evan smiled and nodded, "And it's the best one!"

"Well, that's good." Linda stumbled for a moment, then pushed Evan and said, "Evan, aren't you doing anything? Go quickly, it's not good if you're late!"
