Chapter 266 I'm back(2/2)
"That's it!"
After hanging up the phone, Colin breathed a sigh of relief, looked up and saw Evan looking at him with a smile.
"How does it feel to hear Nina's voice again?"
Colin smiled bitterly and said, "I miss it very much, and I'm also very troublesome."
"I originally wanted to get together with Haynes and the others, but now... I can't help but change the time."
"Nina forced me to go back to Sacramento today and asked you to prepare transportation."
"I heard it!" Evan nodded with a smile, "This is a small matter."
"I'll transfer a car to you and give it to a driver."
"Driver? This doesn't need to be done, I can drive."
"It's not okay to drive. It takes more than four hours to go back to Sacramento, but not by one person." Evan said: "You already met Bob yesterday. Why would I give him a vacation and let him go with you?"
Colin shook his head and said, "It's really not necessary. Just arrange a car."
"You can't help it," Evan said.
After saying that, Colin picked up the microphone in one hand and turned it on the digital turntable with the other.
Colin had no choice but to go upstairs to pack his luggage. Of course, he actually had nothing to clean up. His things were still in his bag and he didn't have time to take them out.
Twenty minutes later, Bob showed up outside the villa in a car.
Evan also drove out the car in his garage.
Audrey, who was preparing to go to school, and Colin with his luggage stood side by side on the road.
Evan got out of the car, called Colin, who was preparing to get into Bob's car, and then let Audrey take it.
After Bob drove away, Evan smiled at Colin and said, "Get in!"
Colin was a little surprised, "Don't you have to go to school? Schools are now on the right track..."
"Even if you don't have to go to school, what about the company?"
Evan opened the car door and looked at Colin and said, "Nothing matters."
"The important thing is that since you don't want Bob and the others to accompany you, I have to go there myself."
"Come on, get in the car!"
Colin looked at Evan for a while, then threw his luggage into the car and said, "Okay, listen to you."
After a while, the Ford sedan drove on Highway 99.
Some people say that travel is a way for couples to enhance their relationship.
In Evan's opinion, it is actually not only suitable for couples.
Any long-distance trip cannot be smooth sailing. There will always be various emergencies, which requires the concerted efforts of our fellow travelers.
More importantly, the relatively closed space gives people who are traveling with more opportunities to communicate.
As we communicate more, we will get to know each other better.
The reason why Evan decided to go home with Colin was for this purpose.
He has a little obsessive-compulsive disorder. Since he has decided to fully integrate into this family, he can't do anything wrong.
The car is driving on a straight road, and there are boundless wilderness on both sides of the road.
Evan and Colin in the car never closed their mouths all the way.
The two brothers talked about the past when they were young, and also about the series of legendary deeds that Evan did after Colin joined the army.
When talking about the interesting things about living in Auckland when they were young, the two of them would laugh happily at the same time.
When Evan recounted the incidents of him from inventing the Rubik's Cube to taking Nina and Robert to Hollywood for commercials, Colin would listen to it word by word and applaud Evan's achievements from time to time.
Of course, Evan finally asked Colin about some of the situation in the army, but he carefully avoided that question - the real reason for his retirement.
Evan felt that if Colin wanted, he would say it in person one day.
The journey on the road soon came to an end.
At 2 p.m., Ford arrived outside the governor's residence of Sacramento.
Pushing open the car door, Colin looked at the white villa and became stage frightened for a moment.
The Warren family moved in here in 1943, but Colin didn't live there for a few days because that year happened to be his last year of high school. Half a year later, he left home to go to college.
Evan got out of the car first, came to the door, looked at him, and shouted, "Colin?"
Colin came to his senses, smiled reluctantly, and said, "I don't know why, but I'm actually a little weak in my legs."
Evan said: "Don't worry, Nina has a much better temper over the years."
"She usually no longer takes action, but instead changes her way of education."
“What way?”
Colin asked curiously.
Evan did not answer him, but smiled mysteriously and said, "You will know right away."
"Now, get out of the car quickly."
"Escape is useless."
Evan reached out to Colin and asked him to hand over his luggage. Colin handed over his luggage and walked out of the car dragging his way.
Following the stone steps to the gate, Colin followed Evan and walked in.
"Susan, can you help me get the sheets upstairs?"
"Okay, madam!"
As soon as they entered the room, the two brothers first heard the conversation, and then they met Aunt Susan holding the bed sheets.
Aunt Susan was startled and almost screamed.
"Shh!" Evan made a ban on voice gesture, and then he whispered: "Good afternoon, Aunt Susan."
Susan calmed down and replied, "Good afternoon, Evan."
Then Susan saw a figure flashing from behind Evan, who walked over him and held the railing up the spiral staircase.
Not long after, she heard a scream.
"Oh, my God."
Upstairs, Colin held Nina.
