Chapter 4 Promotion Ceremony

Three months later, Tyros' promotion ceremony arrived as scheduled.

The ceremony will be held in Zach's Mage Tower.

The ceremony hall is located on the fifth floor of the Mage Tower, which is located at the relatively spacious bottom of the Mage Tower. The entire hall is several dozen meters long and wide and can accommodate hundreds of people.

The hall was empty, with only one marble statue standing next to one wall.

At this time, the entire hall floor was filled with dense runes, making people dizzy when they saw it.

Hundreds of runes are connected by straight lines of varying lengths and curves, forming one concentric geometric figure after another. They are nested layer by layer into a huge magic circle, covering the ground of the entire ceremony hall.

Standing in the center of the magic circle was an old man with white hair and beard, who was the dean of the magic college, Tyros.

There was a yellow crystal ball the size of a fist on each side of his body.

On the hanging platform on the four walls of the hall, Zach looked at everything that was going on below with a serious expression.

There were several people standing behind him, all of whom were the professors and professors who came to witness this important moment.

This will be the first formal mage promotion ceremony that has been held since its establishment.

"The magic array inspection has been completed, it is correct. Please conduct manual inspection." The cold voice of the mage Tataling sounded in the hall.

Tyros glanced at the magic circle for the last time, and slightly used the magic power to ensure the connection of the entire magic circle. After everything was ready, he looked up at Zach, who nodded slightly, indicating that the ceremony began.

Taking a deep breath, the old man with white hair slowly closed his eyes, and then he began to mobilize the magic power in his body, and the entire magic circle began to shine under the erosion of magic power.

The ceremony has begun!

After a few breaths, the light of the magic circle began to increase.

Teros' eyes were closed, and his white hair seemed to tremble slightly in the illusory breeze.

However, not long after, his chest began to rise and fall violently, his body was a little unstable, and even the light of the magic array flashed.

"Ta Ling, connect to the magic crystal pool and continue to provide magic power for the ritual." Zach said to the air.

"Yes, master." Ta Ling replied coldly.

A dazzling light suddenly burst out from the hall, and a large amount of magic power was constantly injecting into the magic circle.

The ceremony quickly stabilized.

Two yellow crystal balls that were originally lying quietly on the ground floated up and began to rotate around the center of the magic circle. The yellow and white light illuminated Tyros' wrinkled face.

That is the spell crystal core.

The two spell crystal cores each have a spell engraved, which will transform Tyros' soul and body respectively.

【Shaping the Soul Space】

Visualize the subconscious mind of the mage into a virtual space, making it readable and write like a book.

Formal mages with soul space no longer need to forcefully memorize spells like trainee mages, but can directly write spell models into subconscious memory.

Using this convenient method, formal mages can learn complex magic that the trainee mage can never remember in their entire life through just one night of meditation.

And the spells learned in this way will be as skillful and firm as language.

【Smelting Magic Furnace】

Transform the mage's body so that it can absorb the surrounding free magic power and store it in the magic pool in its body.

The trainee mage can only use the thin free magic power around to cast spells, and no magic power is stored in his body.

However, the official mage can not only absorb the free magic power in the surrounding space, but also mobilize the magic power in the magic pool in the body.

Therefore, formal mages cast spells more rapidly, and they can also use magic that is far from enough to release by free magic.

Zach looked at the smooth ceremony below and couldn't help but recall his experiences along the way.

I was also a trainee wizard and personally experienced the huge improvement in strength after promotion.

After the transformation of these two spells, the formal mage's spell learning ability and casting ability will make a qualitative leap, thus completely bidding farewell to the useless casting ability of the trainee mage.

The trainee mage can only release 0-ring spells such as Light Skills and Ice Hands. The powerful spells are nothing more than fireball techniques. Relying on these spells, an trainee mage may be able to fight ten, but his combat ability is still in the category of mortals. Several veterans or even an experienced assassin can threaten the trainee mage.

The formal mage is far beyond the limit of mortals. One-ring spell can easily kill hundreds of people, while the peak first-level mage who masters the three-ring spell can make hundreds of people wiped out with a wave.

Level 1 mages are already the limit that mortal army can fight against, not to mention the holy mages of level 2, level 3, or even level 4 or above.

Zach looked at the statue in a corner of the hall and couldn't help but think in his heart:

‘How great is it to be the one who created the promotion ceremony and opened up the path of magic.’

It was a statue of a young man, with long curly hair draped over his shoulders, trembling slightly in the twisted light and shadows in the hall. His face carved from marble was arrogant and firm, and his gray-white eyes seemed to have traveled tens of thousands of years, staring indifferently at the ceremony in front of him.

Original wizard Casar.

It was he who cracked the ritual of ascension and transformed it into a ritual of mage.

This ritual is so ancient that it has lasted for 20,000 years and itself represents the history of the entire mage civilization.

Just as Zach was wandering, the light of the magic array in the hall was gradually dimming and finally completely extinguished.

The ceremony is over.

Teros slowly opened his eyes, and his originally dim and turbid eyes were already clear.

At the same time, all the trainee wizards present felt the strangeness around them.

The originally filled with free magic in the hall is being quickly drained.

Rather than disappearing, it is gathering in the center of the hall and engaging into Tyros's body, filling his new magic pool.

That's a sign that the magic furnace is working.

The ceremony was successful!

"Congratulations, Tyros!" Zach couldn't help but smile when he saw his student successfully promoted to a formal mage.

"Teacher, I succeeded...Teacher Xie..." Tyros looked at the suspension platform, and he was still in ecstasy.

Just as he was reorganizing his language, he saw Zach wave his hand and could only smile awkwardly, then bowed deeply, and expressed his gratitude silently.

Aegas was the first to jump off the platform and ran to Tyros.

"Old man, congratulations. From now on, you will be different from us. Awesome!" He patted the dean on the shoulder again, "Even his body is tough!"

"Ahem... Little girl, stop talking about me. I have been meditating for the past few months and haven't asked about you yet..." Tyros raised his chin at Zach on the suspension stage. "How is it?"

Aegas's eyes were a little dim.

"Teacher...the teacher doesn't want me, and said he will go to him after I become a formal mage..."

Looking at Agesha's somewhat lonely expression, Tyros stroked his beard and smiled.

"Silly kid, that means there is a chance."

The woman's eyes lit up: "Can he be so..."

Looking at the professors gathered around him, Tyros stopped the topic, looked at Aegas with hope, patted her on the shoulder and said seriously, "You have to come on too, don't let Teacher Zach down." Then he dealt with everyone who came to congratulate him.

On the suspension stage, Zach nodded as he looked at everyone's joy, and turned around and left silently.

Before leaving, he looked at Casar's statue again.

The resolute face of the statue has never changed.
