Chapter 115 The Black Knight and the Red Knight

Kits ran in the woods, and the night wind whistled by his ears.

The branches slashed across his cheeks and teared open wounds, but the severe pain could not stop him for a moment.

The deep forest in front of us is like the dark mouth of an unknown monster,

The neighing of war horses faintly came from the dense forest behind him, accompanied by a low gasp sound like the cold wind in the cave.

The heart pounded, the trachea seemed to burn, and fear surging in the mind.

How did things become like this?

Since escaping from the Difia Brotherhood, he has hid from the western wilderness to the Elvin Forest, and finally came to the Twilight Forest.

I thought I had finally gotten rid of the Brotherhood killer, but how many days have passed in the peaceful days?

Everything started with that diamond pendant, yes, that was from that time... before finding it, his life was as peaceful as the Northgate Valley.

When he saw the exquisite pendant half buried in the soil in the cemetery of Crow Ridge, he did not hesitate to dig it out of the soil that smelled corpse.

If I had known that such a thing would happen, even if I cut my hand, I would never touch it!

It's too late to regret!

There were sounds from the woods behind me.

The dense sound of horse hooves is getting closer.

Just as Kits was already in despair, a light suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

The withered trees swept across the sides like an open door, and a golden wheat field appeared in front of them.

On the other side of the wheat field is a farm, a two-story wooden house next to the barn, and dim lights faintly emerge from the windows.

Kits looked back in panic and the darkness in the bushes behind him seemed to be pouring out the next moment.

He rushed through the wheat field without hesitation, and had just crawled into the barn, and the dense and heavy sound of horse hooves followed.

Kits tried to calm his breathing and looked out through the cracks in the wooden wall. In his horrified vision, he saw ten tall figures riding war horses walking out of the forest and outside the farm.

The heavy steel armor on the horse was pounding, and the figure on the horse's back was covered in a pitch-black cloak, and his face was hidden under the hood, and only two dim spots of light were floating in the darkness.

It's those black knights!

Since picking up the pendant, these dark knights have followed him like shadows and hunted him endlessly.

Bang bang!

The feet wrapped in thick steel armor stepped on the ground, and then a series of footsteps sounded.

Thankfully, the black knights did not check the barn where they were hiding, but went straight to the house.

The wooden door of the cottage was slammed open, and a woman's scream sounded from the room, accompanied by the cry of children.

Fear enveloped Kits, his thumping heart seemed to be shouting and asking him to escape, but the guilt that brought the innocent into danger still drove him to crawl over.

He sat up against the wall tremblingly, and through the small window, he saw a blonde woman kneeling on the floor of the room, holding two trembling children in his arms.

The knight in a black cloak surrounded the surroundings, forming a sharp contrast with the weak and helplessness of the three.

"Mom! Mom!" the child kept crying.

The woman's hands were also trembling. It was obvious that she was trying hard to remain calm, but she seemed to have known her destiny to die. She just comforted the child in her arms in vain: "Don't cry, my father will be back in a while!"

The Black Knight's cloak was windless, and a shrill and harsh laughter came from under the pitch-black hood.

The candlelight on the table instantly went out and the room fell into darkness.

"Where is it?" The knight's voice rubbed against the rough stone like a knife and an axe: "Where is the pendant?"

When the word "pendant" is spoken, the voice becomes hoarse, as if it is suffocating.

Kits' heart was immediately clenched by fear. They were really looking for that damn pendant!

The Black Knight will kill them!

For a moment, Kits wanted to shout, but fear had already twisted his tongue into his throat and could not move at all.

At this moment, the voice of the woman came from the darkness

"Pendant?" the woman asked calmly, "Of course I know. Who doesn't know here?"

Kits' breathing stopped and he stared into the room with wide eyes.

The woman looked at the knight so firmly, and he touched her arms again. If the edges of the pendant had not stinged his fingers, he would have believed what the woman said.

The leader of the knight knight bowed his head slightly and leaned towards the woman, and a heavy armored hand stretched out under the black cloak.

The steel armor on the fingers bent step by step with the "click" sound, lifting the woman's chin: "Where?"

"I can take you there and take you with you." The woman hugged the child in her arms tightly, and a glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes: "But the road is far, and taking the child will drag us down, and we must keep them."

Kits' heartbeats, and the woman is ready to sacrifice herself to protect her two children!

He suddenly wanted to know the name of this brave mother.

He had never believed in the Holy Light, but at this moment he sincerely prayed that the woman's plan would work.

‘The Holy Light is above, let these damn Dark Knights believe it!’

The woman's lies seemed to make the Black Knights hesitate. They stood there motionless, with yellow light spots under their cloak staring at the woman, and the woman also faced their gaze calmly.

After a while, a knight raised his eyes, as if listening to the call from afar.

Then he took out a gem from his clothes and shook it in front of the woman a few times.

A light slowly emerged from the knight's body, and then turned into a terrifying white hand, reaching towards the woman. She looked at the light without fear, but a trace of uneasiness appeared on her confident face.

The illusory hand reached out to her and covered her pretty face.

The woman stood straight there like a statue, her eyes wide open. Her lips were open, as if she was screaming, but she could not make a sound.

After a while, the white hand that tortured her finally relaxed and threw her to the ground.

"This woman is lying..." said the Black Knight holding the gem: "She has never seen that pendant."

The knight's voice became more and more sharp: "Kill her, kill these two children!"

The screams rang out of the room, accompanied by a struggle, and the woman and two children were dragged out of the room.

The child kept crying, while the woman looked pale and tears kept flowing down.

The black knight rode back to the back of the war horse and pulled out the long sword at his waist. The moonlight shone on the sword body, outlining the uneven sword blades, as if they were carved by countless years.

Kits's spirit was almost broken. He was about to jump out to help the three innocent mothers and sons, but he noticed another thing.

His breathing was trembling violently, not caused by fear.

But because of the cold.

Kits looked at the white mist spitting out of his mouth in a daze.

Why is it so cold all of a sudden?

The five black knights seemed to notice something strange. They stopped the blade in their hands and turned their heads to look at the other side of the wheat field.

There was a figure at some point on the edge of the dark forest.

He also rode on a tall leather-armored war horse, covered with heavy steel armor, dozens of steel strips wrapped around his body like ribs, and a circle of sharp thorns on his helmet formed a pitch-black crown, under which was a skeleton face, pale by the midnight moonlight.

"Who is it?" The Black Knight raised his sword, and his sharp voice echoed over the empty farm.

The "Skeleton Knight" did not answer. The two dark eye holes "looked at" the dark knights indifferently.

Behind him, dozens of heavily armored knights walked out of the forest and surrounded the entire farm. They drew out long swords with twisted blades one by one, and white frost mist flowed down from above.
