Chapter 134 The Battle of the Bohai Sea (3)

But at this moment, with a loud "boom", the huge hull of Earl Bismarck suddenly trembled. Several officers in the command room were not anxious to defend themselves and fell to the ground.

"I've been shot!" Heinrich's mind suddenly flashed with such an idea, but at this time he was still calm and immediately shouted: "Report the part of the shot, the loss..."

Before Heinrich's words were finished, he heard two "boom" sounds, and the Earl Bismarck was hit by two bombs in a row. One of the shells fell on the front deck of the Earl Bismarck. Both glasses in the command room were shattered by the waves. Looking out through the porthole, he saw that the guns of the other ships of the other party were fired. The first ship of the German ship, the Brandenburg, also hit two bombs in a row. Several water columns rose on the sea surface on the left and right in front of the two ships.

Heinrich was shocked. If he only got one shot, it could be accidental. However, the Earl Bismarck hit three shots in a row, and the Brandenburg on the other side also got two shots. This cannot be explained by luck. The opponent is only aiming and shooting, not randomly. And the opponent can maintain such an accurate hit rate at a distance of 10 kilometers. In Heinrich's understanding, even the British may not have such accurate shelling level. So how did this group of overseas Chinese do it?

However, now is not the time to think about these things. After all, the war is important. Heinrich immediately ordered the fleet to turn immediately and fire at the enemy on the side. Although the German fleet's artillery could not fire accurately at this distance, there was no other way now. In Heinrich's plan, it should have started to turn when the distance was closer to six or seven thousand meters, but the opponent could fire ten thousand meters away, and had a very high hit rate. Therefore, he could only turn in advance and fire at the opponent from a long distance. It was better than being beaten and not fighting back.

Just when Heinrich made this decision, Earl Bismarck was shot three more shots. Fortunately, although Earl Bismarck was just an armored cruiser, its armor was not much thinner than ordinary battleships. It was made of the latest surface carburized hardened steel plate produced by Knuber. The shot was shot was not fatal, so the damage was not large.

After the Earl Bismarck turned, the four guns at the beginning and end of the ship also opened fire together and bombarded the opponent. Behind the Earl Bismarck, Queen Victoria Louise also began to turn.

Maintaining a distance of 10 kilometers to start the artillery is a combat plan formulated by the Crossing Fleet before the war. After all, the strength of the German fleet is far stronger than that of the Japanese fleet in the last naval battle. Since the three Brandenburg-class battleships are equipped with six 80mm caliber artillery, the distance must be pulled to more than 10 kilometers to basically ensure the safety of the Crossing Fleet. Even if it is hit, it will give the close-defense guns enough reaction time to intercept the shells. Although the hit rate of the Crossing Fleet dropped to about 50% or 60%, in this era, this is still a god-like hit rate.

As a result, in just over a minute, the Earl of Bismarck and Brandenburg, which were headed by the two German ships, were each hit more than ten rounds. Fortunately, the armor of these two warships was thick, and the shells they were mostly affected by 100mm shells and 76mm shells, so they were still able to stand it.

As the German ships turned one after another, other ships behind the two ships were also revealed, and the two fleets gradually opened up their distance. The main array fleet unfolded horizontally and launched a confrontation with the crossing fleet, while the guerrilla fleet flew around to the left, attempting to attack from the flank of the crossing fleet.

The sea was filled with smoke, the cannons were roaring, and water columns were rising. The war was going on very fiercely for a moment.

However, as the battle unfolded, the German ships continued to hit, and at the other end of the battlefield, although the water columns were rising and falling near the fleet, no ship was shot.

In the command room of the Kunming ship, Shang Jinfeng, the commander of the fleet, watched the fierce war on the sea in front of him, and ordered the Water Guidance Department to "prepare to launch torpedoes, targets Bismarck and Brandenburg."

In this battle, the use of torpedoes to strike the German fleet, not missiles, was also decided before the war, because in the previous battle, the effect of using missiles to attack warships in this era was tried, so in this battle, the power of torpedoes must be tested.

On the five combat warships passing through the fleet, they are equipped with two triple 4mm744 torpedo launchers, which can launch Yu 7 light torpedoes. The carrier-based helicopters of the other five combat warships can also carry Yu 7 light torpedoes for airdrop launch. On the Xiangyang and Huaihua ships, each equipped with 1 Yu 7 light torpedoes, Yueyang and Sanya ships each have 18 Yu 7 light torpedoes, while the Kunming ship has the largest displacement and the largest number of Yu 7 light torpedoes, with a total of 4. The five warships combined have a total of 84 Yu 7 light torpedoes. This is another powerful weapon for the crossing fleet in addition to missiles.

The origin of the Fish 7 light torpedo is quite legendary. In October 1978, a Chinese fishing boat caught a US MK-46i type torpedo in the South China Sea. It was probably a lawsuit filed by the US military during an exercise. So the torpedo was sent to the 705 Institute for research and testing, codenamed Project 109.

In 198, the Navy decided to develop the Fish 7 torpedo based on the MK-46i torpedo, and 705 torpedo shallow water control systems were developed and designed. Because it was a period of good Sino-US relations, in 1985, the US sold 4 MK46 torpedoes to China for US$8 million, and a set of intermediate maintenance stations that can complete most of the MK46 torpedo maintenance work, as well as several technical data. After obtaining this batch of data, the development of the Fish 7 light torpedo was very smooth, and after the shaping was completed in 1994, the troops were equipped.

Since the benchmark model of the Fish-7 torpedo is only the MK46 torpedo at the end of the 1970s, the basic model of the Fish-7 torpedo was completed, and its improved model was immediately developed. In the late 1990s, the comprehensively improved Fish-7 B torpedo was successfully developed and replaced with troops; and the Fish-7 C torpedo used some of the new generation of anti-submarine torpedoes to develop helicopter-borne models. The current Fish-7 torpedoes are actually all Fish-7 B/C torpedoes, and are generally equipped with surface ships of the Chinese Navy and various types of carrier-based helicopters.

The basic parameters of the improved torpedo of Fish-7 are: high-explosive bombs with a total length.86m, weight 0kg, maximum speed 45, maximum range 14 kilometers, and warhead 45kg. The search attack depth is 6~400m, and the main/passive sonar guidance is used. The probability of capturing the target under typical conditions is 90%.

The development of the Fish-7 torpedo is of great significance to the Chinese Navy. The most important thing is the mastery of Otto thermal power technology and advanced active and passive joint sonar guidance mode, which has promoted the improvement of a series of torpedo technologies in China, and shortened the gap between the Chinese Navy's anti-submarine torpedo technology from scratch and the United States to less than 0 years. The development of the Fish-6 heavy torpedo and the more advanced Fish-8 torpedo have played a great role in promoting the development of China's torpedo industry, thus laying the foundation for the new era of independent development of China's torpedo industry.

Although the Yu-7 torpedo is an anti-submarine torpedo in the weapon sequence of the Chinese Navy, mainly equipped with surface ships and various types of carrier-based helicopters, it was also equipped with early conventional submarines of China in the early 21st century, after the final production of the Yu-6 heavy torpedo, China's new generation of Type 09 conventional submarines were modified with the Yu-6 heavy torpedo.

However, the Fish-7 torpedo can also be used to attack surface ships. In this era, torpedo technology has just begun to develop and there is no sufficient anti-torpedo technology. In this era, the Fish-7 torpedo is still the technology of the Star.

Now the German fleet is lined up in two columns, and it has become a standard target for crossing the fleet.

The Kunming ship, Yueyang ship, and Sanya ship are equipped with the head of the ship. The head of the Type 07 medium-frequency ship is the main/passive sonar. At this time, the crew of the torpedo team of the Water Guidance Department had collected all the sonar data of the German fleet. Therefore, after Shang Jinfeng ordered, the sonar data of the Earl Bismarck and Brandenburg should be immediately included in the two Fish-7 torpedoes.

Kong Yufang, the female soldier of the torpedo team of the Water Guidance Department, said: "Report to the captain, the torpedo is ready and can be launched."

Shang Jinfeng immediately said: "Start."

Kong Yufang immediately pressed the button of the torpedo launch. On the left rear of the Kunming ship, two fish-7 torpedoes were fired from the 744 torpedo launcher. They fell into the sea, sank rapidly, and disappeared.

This is the difference between modern intelligent torpedoes and the torpedoes of this era. In this era, the range of torpedoes is very close and can only be launched within a thousand meters. Moreover, the torpedoes only sail from three to five meters below the sea surface, almost walking close to the sea surface, and you can clearly see a water trace from the sea surface. In addition, the torpedoes of this era can only be shot directly and will not turn, which gives the surface ships the possibility of maneuvering and avoiding.

After landing in the sea, modern intelligent torpedoes will quickly sink to the sea that are invisible to the naked eye and sneak down, and only after approaching the target, they will start to float up and attack the target. Therefore, it is impossible to discover with the naked eye. Moreover, modern intelligent torpedoes are either controlled through line guides or guided by active/passive sonar. They can automatically track the predetermined target based on the sonar data input before launch, and they cannot escape even if they want to. Unless there are quite advanced interference methods, it is impossible to avoid modern intelligent torpedoes.

The Fish-7 torpedo is guided by the main/passive sonar, with a distance of more than ten kilometers, and a speed of 45 knots, which is only six or seven minutes. Although the torpedo falls into the water, the trajectory line between the torpedo and the target is still displayed on the display screen, and the data around it is constantly showing the distance between the two sides and the remaining time. If you shorten one minute, Kong Yufang will report it once.
