Chapter Thirteen: Across the Ocean to Find You

Cotton clouds float across the sky, and the sun shines on the stretching green grass, pushing along the castle-like building in front of you.

On the hillside of the forest, a few young men and women riding mountain bikes were laughing and scolding and rushing down the short slope. A figure in the forest shook, and a figure in a black leather jacket crossed the few people who had just turned their sight. On the grass, Wang Ruhu patted the leaves on his shoulder and walked towards the road away from the front door of the university. His eyes under his sunglasses swept through the surrounding environment. The ancient castle and church-style building complex were some of them covered with ivy. The leaves reflected the sunshine, lush, and gently stroking and undulating in the wind.

The college sculptures look old and quiet.

On the road outside, two or three police cars could be vaguely parked on the roadside shade. Several policemen were eating burgers and chatting with their companions in the car, or sitting in the car with walkie-talkies and talking without knowing what to say.

Wang Ruhu rubbed his tongue with his mouth, turned around and walked to a remote place, jumped over the wall, and quietly landed in the yard. In the building with a vault, a student happened to come out with a few books in his arms. Seeing the figure falling, he opened his mouth slightly and stood there in a daze.

Shh!

Wang Ruhu made a gesture of silence at her, pointed at the front with a smile, and left without waiting for the other party to respond quickly, and walked through the roads between the various buildings of the university. He was originally just familiar with the path. When he walked into the building, he saw the photo frame of the founder of the university hanging on the corridor, and an idea flashed through his mind.

‘There should be a place, a roster of staff, or a roster of professors and experts, and Professor Harris should be on it too.’

I made up my mind and traveled back and forth between several buildings. It took almost half an afternoon to find a place similar to the office, avoiding the security patrol, and while the staff inside got off work, they held the handle and pushed it off, and the entire door leaf was removed.

The moment he unscrewed the handle and stepped into the door, he threw out the door handle in his hand, and was so scared that he knocked the camera in the corner that he had to miss. The computer must have a password, and Wang Ruhu would not touch it at all. He looked at a file cabinet. Seeing the title tags written with teachers and professors, he directly broke it out and took out a thick stack of files. He listened to the movements of the corridor in his ears, while quickly searching for familiar names.

Soon, I took out a file and found a few thin pages of paper inside. I took the lead and posted a photo of the person. It was an old white man in his fifties.

The top of his head was shiny, with only slightly curly hair on both sides, a pair of glasses on the bridge of his nose, and his beard looked a little sloppy.

Wang Ruhu confirmed his resume, and the laboratory had a certain building, and remembered his appearance in his mind. He also wanted to find the other party's course arrangements. He vaguely heard footsteps in the corridor outside, and quickly put the files back into the iron drawer.

Step on...

The footsteps were getting closer and closer. The staff who came back from the toilet suddenly saw the crooked wooden door and pressed their hands on their heads with incredible words, "My God, I've just walked away for a while, why is that happening?"

He walked in front of the thick wooden door and exclaimed again when he saw the opened filing cabinet. In the corner of her back, Wang Ruhu spread her legs and stepped on the walls on both sides of the corner. He was looking at the back of the woman in a short skirt, quietly descending to the ground, flashing out of the door and leaving, and quickly walked out of the office building. Behind the students passing by, he saw four or five uniformed security guards hurried into the building he had just come out as if they had received the news.

Looking back at the building there, Wang Ruhu turned around and sank into the tree-lined path next to him, stepped on the soft grass under his feet, jumped out of the wall and returned to the gentle slope in the distance. The sun was falling down the west clouds, and the red light poured into the forest, sprinkling rays of light on the withered and yellow leaves.

In the rustling footsteps, Wang Ruhu tried hard to recall the resume life he saw. Professor Harris was not only an expert in brain areas, but also a computer scientist, nominated for the Turing Award.

Of course, Wang Ruhu didn’t know what it is to receive a prize, but it was probably a very powerful thing.

"But... there is his address on it, so it's convenient now."

I forced the memorization of what I wrote down again in my mind, took off my sunglasses, looked at the young man and woman sitting together on the mountain bike, and began to walk back.

"It's hard to find a place to live in the school because there are so many people in the school."

When I returned to Chinatown, it was as dark as before. Seeing the lights in Uncle Long’s shop were on, Wang Ruhu rubbed his chin beard, and whether to go in and have a meal? I didn’t eat anything all day, and I felt that my stomach was almost digesting myself.

"Ahu."

In the second-floor aisle, Li Lan waved to him, tied her hair, and pointed to the rice cooker next to her: "Have you eaten? If you don't, come up. My sister steamed buns here, and she couldn't finish them alone, and there were still some left."

Seeing other women on the second floor looking at him with interest, Wang Ruhu couldn't pull this face away by being looked at by so many eyes.

"Thank you, Sister Lan, I've had supper outside."

I endured my hunger, went to the third floor and returned to the room, turned on the faucet, fed a few sips of water, lay down on the bed and rested for a while, ready to nourish my energy, and waited late at night to look for it by the address on Harris' resume.

Dongdong ~~

"Ahu?!" A woman's voice sounded outside the door, "You open the door."

Wang Ruhu rubbed his face, got up from the bedding, and opened the door. The woman was holding a steamer and a bowl of rice porridge was there. Seeing the man who had just opened the door, he pushed the steamer and porridge bowl in his hand over.

"Take it, what's the dinner? You've been here for the past two days and don't have a single piece of luggage. How could you have money? Those who go out early and come back late are going to find a job? It doesn't matter. Look for it slowly. We are good at it and can always find a way to make money, but we are desperate and go astray. Do you know?"

Opposite, Wang Ruhu was a little confused when he looked at the steamed buns and rice porridge in the woman's hand. Somehow, his heart was warm and he didn't know what to say for a moment. Seeing that he didn't move, Li Lan didn't reach out to take it and forced it over.

"Why are you still standing there? You eat it while it's hot. If I'm still my sister, just be obedient."

"Um."

Wang Ruhu smiled, but no longer pretentiously. He took the steamer bun and bit it into his mouth, picked up the rice porridge without feeling hot. He drank it in one breath and burped it, which made the woman laugh.

"That's right. Eat quickly. Have a good night's sleep. I'll make two servings tomorrow morning. Remember to come and eat them."

Looking at the big guy in front of me eating the steamed buns he made with relish, I thought of my younger brother who was still at home, who was also eating this voraciously when he was young.

"Ahu, it's time to change your outfit, um..."

Wang Ruhu put down half of the steamed bun and looked down at his leather jacket and jeans, "Sister Lan, what do you think is wrong?"

Over there, Li Lan pondered for a while.

"I always feel that this outfit doesn't match you. I look very hot and fierce. As well as your beard and hair should be cleaned up. I think I'll change my suit and look for a job. Even if I don't need it, I think you're good."

Seeing him hesitating, Li Lan smiled, slapped the thick chest with her hand, snatched the empty bowl, and waved her hand.

"Think about it slowly, my sister is going back to bed, see you tomorrow."

Wang Ruhu looked at the woman who was holding the empty bowl of the steamer and jumped lightly from time to time with a small step. He felt that there was such a good woman. He was about to close the door and go back to the room when he suddenly heard a voice coming from Uncle Long's shop. He didn't care at first, but the sound sounded familiar.

After entering the house for a half step, Wang Ruhu suddenly turned around, and his expression moved.

‘Harold!!!’

I opened the door and rushed downstairs along the stairs. At the back door of the tea restaurant, I heard a familiar voice talking to Uncle Long from afar.

"......Dead foreign devils! Fall out."

"I know what you said. I can understand that you are scolding me, just ask if you have seen me before. I am very tall..."

Bang.

The door of the kitchen passage in the tea restaurant suddenly opened, and the movement caused the two people talking at the counter to turn their heads. The Morosian who was talking stopped immediately and saw the tall figure rushing out, with surprise on his face.

"Hey, tiger, I'm here to look for it..."

Before he finished speaking, the figure who came over reached out and grabbed the collar, lifted the thin foreigner up with one hand. Long Xingzheng behind the counter quickly straightened his glasses, and walked around it, panickingly pulled the big man's arm.

"He just asked someone, just let it go for my sake."

"I know him."

After changing his expression, Wang Ruhu's eyes were fierce, as if they were angry, staring straight at the person in his hand. The old man was so shocked that he retracted his hand like an electric shock, retreated, and stammered in his glasses to the lifted foreigner.
