Chapter 749: The Theater Murder (Part 2)(2/2)

All of this seemed like a dream, but the warning he had laid before did not sound. He was sure that this was reality.

He messed up everything, but he didn't get any blame.

Gordon didn't doubt him at all, and even asked him to go home first. Schiller changed from his usual harshness and asked him to go and rest quickly. Selina was not angry and helped him bring Dick back. Dick didn't seem to be happy either.

It wasn't that she wanted to avoid him, but Elsa had completely forgotten about it.

To Batman, it seems like a big deal, but to them, it's like a small friction that happens every day. No one cares about it, no one remembers it.

And when he returned to being the useless Bruce Wayne, he failed to prevent the murder, failed to provide any effective clues, failed to use sophisticated technical reasoning to solve the case, failed to bring the murderer to justice, and failed to save him.

anyone……

But everyone seemed to have forgiven him.

When Merkel lit the fireplace, standing in the firelight in the center of the hall, Bruce realized for the first time.

No one cares whether he is perfect except himself.

Rather than saying that the world doesn’t love God, it’s better to say that in Batman’s opinion, ordinary people who live absurd and frivolous lives don’t care about God at all.

Bruce realizes that when he returns to the life of the Bruce Wayne he always hated, no one will be disappointed.

No one is disappointed at the loss of the perfect Batman.

So, what exactly is he disappointed about?

Bruce felt that when the lights in the hall came back on, the fire in the fireplace returned.

When the flames burned, he was surrounded by warmth again.
